Meanwhile, I'm confused why people keep thinking this is Muchi. Muchi was a child shortly after the Clone Wars and predated Pateesa, Jabba's rancor from Return of the Jedi. So would a young rancor from after Return of the Jedi be the same young rancor from Bad Batch? It's honestly baffling me to me.
I definitely think some of the tuskens have survived bc the piles of bodies boba burned looked pretty small compared to amount of tuskens we saw do the ritual dance around the fire in the last episode, so there’s still hope that the one tusken whotrained him is still alive

Yeah I'm pretty sure a number of them survived. The trainer perhaps too, although Boba burned a gaffi stick like hers, with a smooth and sleek spear end. At least most of the other Tuscans had a more crude one like Boba.

The scene where Boba comes back to the village and finds it destroyed really reminded me of Luke finding the burned down homestead in ANH.
Also, we saw Boba burn the warrior's gaffi stick on the funeral pyre, so she's likely also dead. There's no way she'd leave her gaffi stick behind.

It definitely seems after his time with the Tusken Raiders, his leadership style and outlook is "For the betterment of the whole clan (Mos Espa)" rather than "For the betterment of myself". Also feels like he's expanding his clan through the swoop gang etc. Who knows BK may be next.

I didn't see the Tusken Warrior's body, so I'm holding out hope she's still alive. I liked the cyberpunk biker gang, and I think it makes sense story-wise; if the whole Pyke Syndicate is going to show up to throw down, Boba needs a lot more allies than we've seen him have so far to reasonably have a chance. If it was just Boba, Fennec and the Gamoreans going after a whole criminal gang, it'd be really hard to make believable. That also ties into the Godfather-type meeting Boba has in some of the trailers where he proposes a cartel-style arrangement among the gangs in Tatooine; I'm assuming he's going to go the "strength in numbers" route and consolidate his control as the crime boss of his own multi-pronged syndicate to fend off other groups like the Pykes, Black Sun, Crimson Dawn, etc. etc. Great reaction as always, guys!
Either the female Tusken Warrior is alive or shes just died ofscreen somewhere in a tent, but I doubt they would get rid of that one that badly.

I love all the hints that Boba is a big softie for animals. Even in episode 1 when he knocked out the Massiff he pet it almost like an apology. Then him getting really giddy with the Rancor.

When Lortha Peel mentioned humans enhanced with droid parts, my head went to Beilert Valance. Doubt he'll make an appearance, but he's someone who could be an interesting threat in live-action.

Disney usually sends out screeners for their 1st 3 eps of a show, but not this one. Too many surprises in this series. Good on them. Finally! All even!
This felt like a step back after a fantastic chapter 2 but I don’t think it’s as horrible as some viewers think. The highlights for me were Black Krrasantan (fantastic job translating his savagery from comic books to television) and Danny Trejo being a RANCOR TRAINER! I’m not sure what to think of the teenage cyberpunk bikers yet although I like their droid enhancements. The weakest part to me was killing the Tuskens off screen without proper buildup. It was something I saw coming but I just don’t think enough time was spent on it
Yup, this episode and the first was directed by Robert Rodriguez while nr 2 was Steph Green. I think it's RR that re to blame. Luckily he only directed 2 episodes..
@@williamdegrey The funeral pyre was not nearly big enough for all the Tuskens we've previously seen walking about the camp etc, and the dream was interrupted by Krrasantan's attack, so it's possible the rest of the tribe survived and are out there tracking the murderers...
Exactly my biggest complaint is the handling of the Tuskens I was super hyped after the end of chapter 2 to see how their relationship will further develop but they just...died right away??

I am sooooo thinking that was Moochie. I think because Omega is also a clone, and the closest type of clone that Boba is to Jango, she sees Omega in Boba & it's also part of the reason she bonded with Boba so fast. Boba may remind her of Omega.
And if that is confirmed to be Moochie, I think the chances of Omega showing up will double.

I'm gonna lose my sh#$ if I see boba riding in to battle on that rancor and having machete in starwars is amazing.
Holding out hope we get a Tusken team up led by the Tusken woman whose body we never saw. She was such a badass and they DID have swoop bikes. Maybe she fled to get help from another tribe? Also, we need a Black K riding the rancor moment. That suit cost a fortune. We'll be seeing more great stuff from that Wookie in future shows.

I can't believe I am THIS upset about the tuskens. 😭 I didn't see the female though at all so I don't believe she's dead. Hopefully not traitor and maybe we will still see her. BK's attack was shocking and dangerous and was still not over the flashback. The chase scene was a bit much and I wish we could have gotten Boba in the chase too not just the end.

This was probably the most Robert Rodriguez episode so far. Very Alita Battle Angel, Spy Kids gadget themed. A little too much in the bright, shiny, CGI department for my taste. Favreau gave Robert the keys to a classic Cadillac and he put a bunch gaudy accessories on it. Less of that and more of the gritty sci-fi western/ samurai for me, please.

My thoughts about Boba returning to the burnt camp really mirrors like Luke's inciting incident when his uncle and aunt were murdered. Only this time it's a revelation for Boba. As far as I know,, those Tuskenns were the closest thing Boba had to a family after his father's death.. Maybe that's why he chose to take over the Hutts as Daimyo. He wanted to break the circle of hate and violence on Tatooine. Why he chose to rule out of respect and not fear. But that's just my two cents.

Something told me you guys would love this episode as much as I did. A blend of new and familiar in a way that really gelled with me.

My theory is the Tusken child is out there somewhere, Boba will find and take care of him for a while in the flashbacks, then in a shot perfectly mirroring Boba's childhood flashback we see the Tusken kid get out of bed/tent and watch Boba fly away to collect his armor.
With the talk of Crimson Dawn, what's the likelihood of Qi'ra showing up as its leader ... and even Han popping up given his history with both her and Boba Fett? It looks like Book of Boba has enough material to live off without Han needing to 'do a Luke' but what do you all think?
Rancors are originally from Dathomir, some of them could be taller than 10 meters and Dathomir witches tamed them widely. I’m so glad that this episode mentioned this setting.

Things are starting to finally look up and take shape based on the episode ending alone, and I have a feeling Black Krassantan might show up later to assist boba in his battle with possibly crimson dawn in the finale. Seeing that trailer shot from the beginning is also cool.
Also, Machete is now canon in Star Wars, I can see Danny Trejo in the franchise even more.
Knowing theme and style with Danny Trejo character explaining the rancor it’s basically a pitbull if you think about it.
The colors and trim on those speeder bikes reminds me of the cars in "American Graffiti" (1973) which was directed, of course, by George Lucas. My guess is that is supposed to be homage to Lucas.
With news of the character Qi’ra coming back in a live action Star Wars show (and they didn’t say when) I wouldn’t be surprised if she appears near end of this show since crimson dawn is still a known criminal organization. Wouldn’t surprise me the pykes are here to settle territory for her, boba and his ppl fight back and qi’ra decides to show up as a “good gesture” to maintain peace and make a deal. To make it more shocking I wouldn’t be surprised if she learned how to use the force since by end of solo maul was interested in her. So he could have taught her the basics on opening yourself to the force.
Bigger shock she could be the reason why maul left with her kicking him out pretty much if she found a weakness of his.
This was a good episode! That Syndicate is going down!

I really liked this episode. People have said the gang feels out of place. I would have to strongly disagree. They are clearly off-worlders. Fennec is a cyborg too and these characters would easily fit in on Coruscant. Love the review and reaction. Looking forward to next week's ep. Keep up the great work!

I think next episode we will see the big meeting that was in the trailers. Boba will probably try to unite all the districts of Mos Espa, so he can go against the Pykes.

My prediction is kickass tusken lady will have survived and she'll join Boba's crew, or at least hook him up with the tuskens for a final showdown against the pykes, who I predict either arranged for the biker gang to wipe out the clan or wiped out the clan and posed as the bike gang.
Was my theory as well, but 3 symbolic gaffi sticks are a bit disturbance. Not showing the bodies could be intentional to make people create theories and increase interest "how it ends"...

After all the time we spent with the Tuskens last episode, I really hated that they were taken out off camera. We should have seen them defending themselves. They deserve to see their prowess at work.
They were obviously slaughtered you dont see any other bodies except tuskens. You would expect there to be some other bodies if the tuskens had a decent fight

The female Tusken raider was a prominent figure in training Boba to become a Raider, so not showing her corpse on screen could mean she likely got away. Same couldn’t be said for the child though, since Boba burned the small Gaffi stick. if I’m wrong about her being alive feel free to correct me.
No correction, just sharing hope. We saw only one body of Trio. Only way she would be overpowered by bikers and put away the gaffi if they threatened the kid's life. The first time I notice that the tuskan was female I assumed she is Fennec. So I said to myself if the village is destroy and the leader dies but the female tuskan survives then she is Fennec. I'm still not sure but she could be.
Kintin must be a popular word among the Nikto. In Swtor, there's a Nikto gang the Kintin Kings on Nar Shada. And now we have the Kintin Striders.

We didn't see the tusken kid body or the badass tusken. So who knows they might pop back up later.
