Welll Steven let me tell you something. If you see a character get wounded and then they suddenly disappear and no body has been found that usually means that they’re still alive and we only saw a few Tuskans along with the Chieftain’s bodies. We didn’t see the Tuskan Battle Master’s body so unless they produce a body she is still alive.
I also have to agree with Steven again because that speeder chase was so slow like you guys could’ve gone out and ran faster than those speeders and also those speeders were so out of place on a desert planet(not a speck of dust or dirt on them it’s like they were just freshly bought). I like the speeders in the second episode more so.

My favorite character moment was when one of the gamorreans got injured Boba takes him to his Batca tank. THAT’S how he intends to rule with “respect” by looking out for others instead of squashing them. Really shows how he’s grown and cares for those under him like a true “family” by looking out for the little guy.

I know a lot of people aren’t liking the “softer” boba but honestly I think it’s really good character writing. Honestly, if Star Wars just kinda made the transisition from movies to this kind of series medium, I'd be on board. Star Wars really seems to benefit from having 15-30 minute episodes to really flesh out the world. I love the small side quest episodes and all of that. That's all stuff we never got in the original movies because, obviously, the overarching story was way more important. But I loved Mando, I'm loving Book of Boba Fett so far, I can't wait to see what they crank out next in a series medium.

    • @plaguemaster308
      @plaguemaster308 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Prequels would of also benefited from being a series instead of 3 movies, way too little time for the story, the story trying to be told needs at least a big tv show, clone wars is an example, star wars is really great in series format.

It's funny because people complained about Mando being too episodic or that how some were fillers and didn't matter (until they see everything is tied together later). There's no pleasing anyone. People really wanted to judge the season based off the first episode when it's only a seventh of the story.

    • @MarieS610

So far boba hasn’t had any. I greatly enjoy both shows. I was just commenting that it seems a lot of people forget the “lower” points of Mando when comparing. Not saying one is better than the other

I understand what you're saying, and you're right, but the progression of the show feels like it's going at a snail's pace. But, it has only been three episodes. Hopefully new locations are on their way.

@@7svn. It was poorly choreographed and looked slow af. The "but they're in a city" defence doesn't hold much water when they're supposed to be smashing into things at high speed, and when the final shot is supposed to be a high speed skid as one of the glorified mobility scooters comes to a halt. In other words, the director wanted it to appear like a high speed chase, but they did a shit job of it. That is especially disappointing when you had a speeder chase in the previous episode, and Chapter 8 of The Mandalorian also has a high-speed "chase" through the centre of a city. Return of the Jedi shows that there's not really a problem of reaction time, and those kids are supposed to be robotically enhanced, so shouldn't their reactions be improved too? -- You like it, fine. I honestly feel like this show's story is one of those iceberg deals, where we're only seeing the very tip of what's actually happening. I think this will proceed with Boba making small moves every episode, until in the finale it's revealed that he had a plan all along and was keeping most of his pieces hidden and off the board until needed. For example, it's possible he's been aware from the beginning that the Pykes are the problem, and he's been baiting them into an open conflict that allows for an unconditional resolution to occur, leaving him and his allies in undisputed control of Tatooine. I also think the inciting incident for this is probably the massacre of the Tuskens, which is one of the reasons it was shown in the episode along with all the Pyke Syndicate stuff.

I feel like the female and child Tusken survived, we never saw their bodies. They'll probably come back and help Boba with his war.
Black K was holding his own, he certainly didn't get his ass kicked. Sure he was getting the brunt of the damage, but he wasn't once incapacitated, and he almost killed that one Gamorian he bit. People forget that he has a robotic skeleton, so while you could TRAP him, it's very difficult to severely injure him. The only reason the fight ended was because he fell into the pit, but even then he was still fully capable of continuing fighting. If Boba ever recruits him in the future, I'm sure we'll see Black K's full potential as a skilled gladiator.
Boba doesn't have an army to fight the Pikes, but let's not forget all the possible bounty hunters he could still recruit to aid him. He could easily track down Bossk, Dengar, IG-88, any of those original bounty hunters for help. He'll probably recruit Black K, as I highly doubt this is the last we'll see of him. He has the Rancor, the biker gang, the Gamorians, and Fennec to help him. If there are still some surviving Tuskens, I'm sure they'll help him too. Who knows, he could even contact Mando for extra help.

To be fair, the youths are cyborgs. You're just zooming in on the fact they're young. Plus, Krrsantan was getting attacked from multiple directions and he's fought alongside Boba before, so he knows Boba's strength and way of fighting. Not so much for unfamiliar people with droid enhancements. (Also, he was uninjured and he was only stopped by Fennec dropping him into a pit. That was not an ass-kicking by any measure. He was stopped moreso than defeated)
IDK. I thought they were a nice addition. Just bringing in the outcasts along with his more elite inclusions for a more varied entourage. These inroads are more than likely all going to matter in the long term, especially since Boba doesn't have Jabba's resources aside from the palace and the droid. Everyone else from Fennec to all his new bodyguards are those that he himself brought in and the Rancor was an unforeseen gift. (I understand the Gamorreans served the palace's previous owners too, but he still hired them after they pledged loyalty in exchange for their lives)
Krrsantan'll be back at any rate. He's just going away for now. As a fellow Bounty Hunter, he's probably going to assist Boba in this fight between Syndicates later. A lot can happen in four episodes with next week being only the halfway mark.
I think Crimson Dawn has a part to play here too because there's almost no bigger a crime syndicate than the criminal alliance Darth Maul constructed and that Qi'ra is now in charge of.

The fight scenes were poorly choreographed...they needed to be faster, more ferocious, and spend a moment highlighting Boba's skill with the gaffi stick before getting disarmed. The speeder chase was a joke. Again, too slow, and the gang's speeders looked like futuristic Vespa scooters with streamers dangling from the handlebars. Overall, the series should have established a clear threat by now...is it the mayor, the Hutts, the Pykes? None of these seem particularly dangerous, yet. But maybe we can't have a solid threat, because the crime boss is too busy getting punked by water mongers, bureaucrats, and teenagers.

Oh, I forgot to say, The scene with the Stormtrooper helmets on Pikes; It was a from The Mandalorian. Also Peli Motto (the Docking Bay attendant) and her droids are walking by.

From seeing the camp, the Tuskins seem to have been a population of 20 or 30 max. A single family clan? One clan of thousands of families? If not, It makes Tuskins extinct now.

Not questioning being outsmarted. Black K got into a physical altercation with a group of kids and they walked away alive.

So let me help you all place what you're feeling. I'm with you all. I think the Black K and kids fight as well as the chase was a let down and very unnecessary. The chase and the kids are reminiscent of Back 2 The Future, buuuuttt what its really a reference to is the director's hit movie franchise Spy Kids......yea 🙄 Spy Kids. I don't know if y'all have seen that movie, but the "kids with gadgets" "out smarting" and "beating up" the adults is very much Spy Kids and that's what I felt that Black K fight was like. The brightly colored speeders is also very Spy Kids. Listen when I was a child I loved the movie, but in my opinion it's not the type of beloved movie that needs callbacks, especially in a property like Star Wars.
I also agree that this is not the same Boba we saw in the Mandalorian. I think he can rule with respect and be bad ass, but the writing in this show isnt doing a great job portraying that. I feel let down with this show.

I find that, in spite or whatever flaws or arguments about canon and characters, I am able to enjoy the episodes because I focus my attention and energy appreciating all the little tidbits and easter eggs that the show-runners are giving me rather than lamenting what "could have been" or complaining that the "cool story-lines" that I would love to see on screen didn't end up in the script. My job as a fan is not to "demand" that the story goes the way I envision. If that were the case, I'd have my own Star Wars series in production at Disney. But some people are producers and some are viewers, just like some sports enthusiasts become NFL coaches and some are merely arm-chair quarterbacks yelling at the t.v. about how much better their team would be doing if they only...(you get the idea).

The four new characters are awesome. Since this is a Robert Rodriquez piece, its fitting to see cybernetics in this. They looked like they could have come from the awesome movie Alita Battle Angel; which by the way is also a Robert Rodriquez piece. The success of Boba is going to green light our beloved Cybergirl.
