@@LeutnantJoker A "real" version of Hondo actually already exists at Disney's Rise of the Resistance ride. It's only a matter of time until we see him on screen.
I do like that Luke laid out the consequences of each choice at the end there. He truly wants Grogu to choose what his heart wants, and if that means Grogu won't become a Jedi then so be it.
Exactly. He's not going to force him into anything. It could also be a test. I wouldn't be surprised if he chooses the lightsaber that luke will give him the armour anyway as Luke is different than past Jedi. We'll see.
Yeah, that was apparently a conclusion that Yoda came to after everything fell apart. And it was how Kenobi addressed things with Luke and Leia. Cal Kestis too, now that I think about it. Before, every child born in the Republic was tested for Midiclorians and if they were above a certain number: straight to the Jedi for adoption unless their birth family refused. Luke wants the prospective child to choose and the Force to send them. He couldn't handle the massive numbers of students anyway. Kenobi asked the Larses, they said no. Kenobi gave Luke the Option when he was 19 and Luke said "I want to learn the ways of the Force and become a Jedi like my father."
28:52 “Can you just imagine…” I love that through Ahsoka Luke could finally get to know his father in ways that Obi-wan barely touched on. Ben and Luke didn’t have enough time together, and the details were fast and shocking - not a navigator? A Jedi Knight in the Clone Wars? A great pilot and friend? That didn’t scratch the surface. Ben died, Vader revealed their relationship, and Luke was left all alone to doubt everything Obi-wan had told him. They had their chat on the log, but that focused on what Anakin became and the bombshell of the sister reveal. So, through Ahsoka, Luke could finally hear how great his father was from the one who was arguably closest to him. She wouldn’t need to speak in certain-point-of-view obfuscations - she could tell him like it was. What a gift.
That was an Excellent Episode of Star Wars, I'm Loving it as much as You are! Thanks to Dave Filoni for Giving Us Luke's Jedi Academy, Grogu Training, R2, Live Action Cade Bane Vs Cobb Vanth and Ahsoka Again. Things I Wished We would see but dared not to Hope too hard but Filoni Came Through!

The CGI on Luke was stunningly realistic. If they could do that, I am imagining how Solo would have looked if they had a CGI young Harrison Ford that was done as well as Mark Hamill here.
@@StopReadingMyNameOrElse Eh, at this point would it really impact the game that much, knowing those two survice? I mean I never expected Cal to die at any point. Maybe the older jedi teaching him, but not Cal. And I fully expect him and merrin to survive the next game. To me seeing them in this wouldn't change anything at all. If Cal was in peril at all, then he was in the first one. I mean at this point he survived an encounter with the big one... what else are you going to throw at him to make me scared for his life. The next game should be about other issues, not about Cal's life being in danger. Killing either of those characters would just be lame, not interesting. So I'm fine with seeing them.
@@LeutnantJoker Dawg he went face to face with Vader, meaning Vader knows there's a strong Jedi out there with an ex Jedi Master. You seriously think he's just going to let that slide? 15 whole years need to go by before that Era catches up to the OT. Then somehow give a reason why Vader never bothered to hunt down this Jedi, even though that is LITERALLY what he spent all his time doing between Ep 3 and 4. It would be beyond silly to see Cal in live action, before even concluding his video game story. It's not a realistic wish.

One of the best things was having Boba Fett cameo in his own series.
Can you imagine a Mandalorian episode where Mando doesn't appear at all, followed by another one where he shows up for 10 silent seconds??? And both episodes were absolute BANGERS, the best by far?!? Let's face it, the fact that Boba got severely outshined (even sidelined!) in his own show proves that he didn't deserve one in the first place... This show should've been titled "The Book of Tatooine & Beyond"😎
"I didn´t dare to hope".... I think that´s how we all felt after seeing Luke portraing a hopeless old Jedi in the "Last...", so much far away from the Luke we all know and we have now the gift to see it as great as we remeber him. As you said this is a gift from very talented and commited people to us all. When you work with your heart on it, the outcome is great. Awesome episode and awesome reaction guys!
I love how Kyle asks "Are you ready?" None of us were ready. I wasn't. I bawled through every scene with Luke, especially the scene where Ahsoka says he's like his father 😭
This is the best Star Wars episode!! Luke, Ahsoka, Cad Bane, Yoda's Lightsaber and the Order 66 flashback. I'm loving all the connections to the prequels and the animated shows.
When it comes to Star Wars reaction videos, you guys are my clear favorite. It's not even close. There is a HUGE difference between content creators who LOVE the content, and creators who are just pushing out videos to get views but have zero idea of the actual product. Thank you for being an actual Star Wars fan as the videos are so much better coming from people who understand the history of the franchise. Love it
I know I am getting greedy - but can we all agree that we would not mind if Disney+ drops "Ahsoka and Luke meets for the first time and share memories of a man they both have been attached to" as a 60 minute episode 6 outtake on Friday? In terms of two people being connected by destiny - that would count as one galactic-sized walk down memory lane while filling in the blanks for each other. Because I know they had this conversation as Ahsoka dropped the "your father" joke on Luke. I do not think I have seen either of them that peaceful in their own skins and minds and memories as during that tiny clip that we got. I want that "let me tell you about your father as a young man/let me tell you about your master at the end of his life" conversation.
That little moment, when you see Luke and laugh, but holding back tears is raw pure emotion. Its sooooo hard to fake that and when it happens, its an instant feeling that cant be stopped. This franchise has given so many of them and no matter whether you hate or love star wars, its this type of emotion that makes something great. Things that do this are pure, and what everyone in life should seek..This happened on a number of occasions, but my biggest ones were Luke and Ahsoka showing up in Mando....A great reaction, keep up the amazing content....
You guys are LEGIT the BEST reaction videos for Mando and BOB. I swear I had almost the exact same reactions as Bendu right down to Lukes Deep Fake CGI and Grogu having to choose.
I never thought they could make a Duros look intimidating, but...damn, Bane looks terrifying. Though, I was kind of hoping to see his droid at his side.
This episode almost felt like a proof of concept for Luke’s own show. The deepfake while still uncanny vallyish was much better than what we saw at the end of Mando season 2.
@@matthewsmith3078 I get that, but still... that's what kinda added to some of the uncannyness... I still recognize this is a huge leap for Luke's face, but little details give it away
For me personally they passed that bar now. I was at no point able to tell if there even was any CGI. I thought it was just an actor that looked enough like Mark Hamill.
Glad I found ur channel a while back now when. I get choked up or cry from pure joy or even some sadness in star wars II tell my girl its normal for us men to get emotional over this we grew up with it..lot of memories with my dad and shit its bigger than just a movie or entertainment to me and all us tru fans all feel that way...thanks for sharing ur reactions guys !!!
Definitely paid off hiring that Deep fake artist, Luke looks amazing! Felt Luke & Ashoka on screen together! Live action Cad Bane was glorious! No way Cobb is dead! Hats off to Dave Filoni! Great episode! Can't wait for finale!
When I saw Bane on the horizon, the words came to my mind - "The Grim Reaper has arrived". And after all, his face with these tubes really looks like a Skull. And think for a moment - he is already in his seventies, and he is STILL ALIVE AND NOT RETIRED. Truly, beware an old man in a profession where one usually dies young.
The explosion in the cantina scene is exactly (whether intentional or not) like the beginning scene of "The Untouchable" where they leave a bomb in the general store and the little girl picks it up.
The Mandalorian and The book of Bobba Fett have made me a big fan of video reactions. It's just so heartwarming to share some good emotions for a change after all we've been through especially for us who love star wars.
Truly phenomenal episode, each little reveal and special moment I was gasping and jumping in my seat. All hail Master Filoni, next week can’t come soon enough! Also great to see Bendu reacting in real time haha, may the Force continue to be with your internet connection ✊🏼
Your reaction was phenomenal Kyle, and I was right there with you geeking out at the brilliantly crafted scenes Filoni directed in this episode. I look forward to seeing your reaction to the final episode.
It was a overload of content. How they packed so much into this one episode is amazing. We literally got 3 shows in one! Now I'm even more excited for new season of Mandolorian and the season premiere of Ahsoka. not sure how they can top this episode then again I thought the previous episode couldnt be topped.
I always get emotional when I see my Queen on screen, but that scene with Luke and the reference to Ani had me done for hours. Great reaction as always!
I didn’t think they could top the last episode. Holy hell. Who else saw the figure far in the distance and immediately said “oh f*%k, that’s Cad Bane!!!”
I was hoping with all my heart for this, ever since I saw the changes to his costume in Bad Batch and how “Western” the Mandalorian was. He’s the perfect person to square down against our heroes. I hope he doesn’t die (mostly because he’s my favorite side character from the Clone Wars), but what a treat!
25:29 I wonder how Luke acquired Yoda’s lightsaber? In Darth Vader #1 set immediately after Revenge of the Sith, I saw in the panel Mas Ammeda toss it into the incinerator along with other lightsabers.
Luke: Grogu you can only choose either Mandalorian gear or Jedi gear, you can’t have both. Tarre Viszla: Oh sure he could choose only one. Revan: Yep only two options. OR! You go with a third option! Tarre and Revan; You choose both Mandalorian AND Jedi gear and you get to be cool like us!!!
Dank Farrik Dave Filoni delivered everything we want…Grogu training was beautiful ..asoka and luke together talking ….Bane was outstanding …Mando Feelings….This is the way
Every time I thought it couldnt be more surprised in this episode they took it up a notch. I watched it before work and when my wife left she texted me and told me to call her when I was done wiht my nerdgasm. That pretty much summed up the whole thing for me. Amazing.
Couple of things specifically for you guys: 1. I found your channel via another channel that does compilation vids of reactors to these series. In fact after watching this episode earlier this morning, yours was one of the reactions I was most looking forward to seeing. 2. A couple of days ago I saw a behind the scenes of how they did the finale of season 2 of The Mandalorian. When Luke Skywalkers defeats all the Dark Troopers and enters the control room, the mo cap actor for that scene was Mark Hamill himself! They did some de-aging and editing but it was actually Hamill. And I feel in this seen all the low-action sequences were done by Hamill himself. 3. I don't think Cobb Vanth was killed by Cad Bane. I've watched that vid a couple of times and I think Bane got Vanth in the should, but he definitely killed the Deputy. 4. I feel like the response the Pikes had for sending Cad Bane to face Cobb Vanth, confirms to me that the Pikes were the ones who killed th Tuskans and made it look like it was the Speeder Gang. I also suspected that the Pikes would not take kindly to having their authority challenged or their illegal trade disrupted. So in the finally fight it would make sense that Boba would the Pike that was leading the forces on Tattooine. Or possibly the female warrior Pike who taught Boba how to fight (cause we didn't see her death or body on the show). 5. The choice at the end that Luke is asking Grogu to make is DIRECTLY out of Lone Wolf and Cub. I feel like (and maybe this is wishful thinking on my part) that Grogu will choose the Beskar chain mail and Luke will train him anyway. 6. There is a short fan made web comic by an artist named "Princepsed" about when Ahsoka and Luke meet for the first time and they talk about Anakin Skywalker. I wouldn't be surprised if Filoni drew inspiration from this as a number of people tagged in the initial post. You can look it up online, just have your tissues at the ready. 7. Glad to actually see Bendu in full motion, looks good!!! I saw the other vids and chalked it up to you clouding your presence in the storm like you did against Thrawn in Rebels.
Not quite right on Cin Drallig - 1. He’s killed in the hologram Obi Wan sees where Anakin’s fighting Jedi, and also he was played by Nic Gillard who was the choreographer for the film and is his name backwards (Bob Anderson did the original films and pirates of the Caribbean I believe)
The *only* thing that the Cad Bane scene needed to be complete was the customary toothpick. Perfect aside from that. Glad Corey Burton was kept to voice him.
This episode blew my mind!!! Luke, Grogu, Ashoka, Cobb Vanth and Cad Bane 🤯🤯🤯 The final episode is going to be insane!!! I definitely think Cob will survive and I even think Garsa Fwip may have survived the explosion. Excited to see who will be apart of Cad Bane’s crew next week concerning different bounty hunters. Great reaction as always guys!
I don't think that was Cin Drallig. Cin went blade to blade with Anakin in that one snippet of ROTS. The middle Jedi here was gunned down. And wasn't Cin played by Nick Gillard, the guy he was named after?
The fact that the dragon skeleton is split between Jawas and the Freetown cantina to me means that Tuskens, Jawas, and Freetown came to an amicable agreement on it. Hope is a fleet of sandcrawlers filled with everyone go up against the Pykes.
Hi Kyle , you know what i think : If Grogu chooses to go with Din Djaron he will be in GRAVE danger , Cad Bane does not take lightly when someone interferes with his " Job " and by Mando getting involved in the " war " with the Pykes , Cab Bane WILL NOT HESITATE to kidnap or Hurt Grogu just to get back at Mando and this could possibly play out on The Mandalorian season 3 or if Grogu chooses to stay with Luke he may sense that Mando is in Grave danger and come to his rescue , making himself known to the galaxy , to INQUISITORS perhaps . Finally , Mando and Grogu could both become Mandalorians by finding the Living Waters beneath the mines of Mandalore , making Grogu one that is a JEDI and a MANDALORIAN , just like TARRE VIZSLA , maybe Grogu ends up wielding the Dark Saber and the Light Saber , we shall see ! Awesome Reaction video , Cant wait for Next week`s Episode !
Commenting as I'm watching, lol. 14:30: Cin Drallig wasn't played by Bob Anderson, he was played by Nick Gillard, the choreographer for the prequels. Anderson was the choreographer in the OT, but as far as I know the only time he was ever on screen in Star Wars was a random hoth trooper in Empire. But I'm not sure that's him anyway because we saw him get killed in Episode 3 while fighting Anakin.
I think Yoda rebuilt his saber in an Age of Rebellion comic. His prequel one was destroyed in the comics when Mas Amedda threw it and others into a furnace.
This was so fun to watch 😭 im so happy you guys do these reactions. I watch it by myself when it comes out at midnight and your guys reactions are always similar to mine lol Cad Bane’s appearance made me flip out and it was so hard to stay quiet 😂
Especially after the Twins left, the line in the opening, _"It's worth more than your town."_ really emphasizes JUST how much of an investment the Pykes have in their claim on Tatooine, and how much of a wrench Boba Fett is throwing into the Syndicate's plans.
This episode reawakened my curiosity as to why R2 powered up when he did. He's done this twice to my knowledge and I want somethiing beyond the "emotional storytelling" explanation we've gotten previously.
What I love about this episode is that they could’ve EASILY ended the Grogu and Luke stuff when Din left but they showed the training. Jon and Dave know what fans want and it is GLORIOUS!!!!!!
This is late but that planet where Luke is training Grogu is Ossus, one of the Old Republic planets. An ancient Jedi planet until the Sith invaded it during the Old Republic era, first we get Tython and now Ossus. Filoni really loves the Old Republic
We also had a reunion between Ahsoka and Artoo! They've know each other the longest! Imagine her seeing Artoo with Luke for the first time and being like "WTF?!?!! How you here dude!?" I HOPE HOPE HOPE the war/battle of the next episode is like playing Hero Assault in OG Battlefront II. Except Boba's on a Rancor. That was Mos Elsley, but let's all go to Mos Espa and fight!
Lol. Exactly. Nobody talks about this. I feel like R2 told her 'I am telling you Snips, this dude hasn't got the first clue about Jedis. Knock some sense into him, will you?'
With filoni fully involved in this episode and knowing how he likes to set things up a lot of the stuff we see in this will pay off big time in future episodes and shows.
Haha me too!!! I watch these episodes once like, "officially," on Disney+, and then literally _dozens_ more times through these reaction videos for the next few days! 🤣
The Luke face effect looked leagues better in this episode than it did in the Mando season 2 finale. As far as I'm concerned they've practically proven that Luke could have his own live-action show, or at least be a heavily recurring character. And that probably holds true for Han and/or Leia too...
Just to get this right, did we really just saw luke, Ahsoka, Mando, grogu, boba fett, Cobb vanth, black krssantan, fenec Shand, the 501st and cade bane in ONE episode of the book of boba fett. Insane
If you watch these things with English Audio Description - you’ll appreciate all the extra story pieces they add to it… it’s a Master Class in story telling that nobody talks about.
True. I saw the New Rockstars video about Grogu having trauma from seeing the green lightsaber, and yet in the subs you have Grogu squeals, Grogu laughs (during the flip), and to me it seemed that while he is missing Din, he is still enjoying time with Luke.
It's kind of addictive watching your genuine reactions Kyle! You're such a true Star Wars fan it's great to see how much these new Star Wars epsiodes mean to you!! 👍
I like how at the start at it's like "If we see Luke Skywalker again, I hope it's like over the shoulder, kind of a profile shot and we don't have to see so much of his face...he should be standing in the shadows" and at the end, there is no disappointment over that at all.

Hondo is Obi-Wan's "friend". He should show up there.
Hear me out:
hondo movie
Directed by Taika Waititi
@@LeutnantJoker A "real" version of Hondo actually already exists at Disney's Rise of the Resistance ride. It's only a matter of time until we see him on screen.
Hayden's casting as Anakin makes even more sense seeing Luke again.
It already made sense with ahsoka and obi wan
You think he'll choose the lightsaber? I can't imagine either of the outcomes, so sad :(
It's fine Grogu is still a Jedi and I'm sure Luke gives him both.... I'm pretty sure Grogu had already received lightsaber training anyway.
I think that Grogu will choose both paths, in the end.
LOVE the camera quality. Just in time for such an incredible episode!!! That "Cobb Vanth, Vanth Refrigeration" had us rolling!
It was such an amazing episode, it really felt like we entered into the big leagues with this one.
Luke and Grogus dagobah-esque run through the forest had me feeling like a kid again. Thank you Dave Filoni.
23:52 - Bane's shot looks like it's only glancing Vanth's shoulder. Definitely not a kill.
He was meant to “deliver the message”. The deputy is to show what happens when you don’t.
Any other reactors don’t even come close to your in-depth knowledge or ability to pick up the small details, it’s always a treat getting to listen to fellow well-read Star Wars enthusiasts.
Greetings from Germany
The CGI on Luke was stunningly realistic. If they could do that, I am imagining how Solo would have looked if they had a CGI young Harrison Ford that was done as well as Mark Hamill here.
"Make sure he's protected"
Dude, Luke Skywalker is there. Ain't nothin' gonna happen to Grogu
I mean, at least until Ben Solo gets there
I’m hoping we get live action Cal and Merrin. Hopefully they bring in Doctor Aphra as well.
Bruh those are the LAST people to ever show up in here. The sequel isnt even out yet, an appearance in this would ruin any weight that game has.
@@StopReadingMyNameOrElse eventually I don’t need that any time soon.
@@StopReadingMyNameOrElse True. He hunted Kanan and Ezra for a while as well but gave up on them. I could see the same thing happening with Cere and Cal.
15:55 The Dark Sabre and Ahsokas White Sabres were so close. I hope we see them in battle. Side by side that is.. or Ahsoka could train Mando.. that would be amazing
In only ONE episode of his own series. That's nothing new.
You see as soon as Kyle notice R2 it looked as if he almost burst into a cry but tried to keep composure
@@GallantSector oh, his voice totally cracked there. I love it!
"An old friend of the family." Right in the feels. 🤯
Love it
This is what true Star Wars fandom looks like. Your enthusiasm over seeing Bane appear is downright infectious.
So many understated lines of dialogue that conveyed VOLUMES of implications. Utterly brilliant.
Me: "So I wonder which aspects of Star Wars that we all love will be in this episode?"
Filoni: "Yes."
He looked absolutely menacing.
25:40 Its a test, let him show his intentions and then give them both
This episode almost felt like a proof of concept for Luke’s own show. The deepfake while still uncanny vallyish was much better than what we saw at the end of Mando season 2.
It was mostly sound the Luke face, but the hair was slightly different which threw it off for me
@@MedalionDS9 well, hairstyles do change.
They actually hired the TH-camr who do the deepfake on Luke Skywalker video..
Me. The way this episode was going, I shouted Bane. I didn't even care to wait for confirmation with the hat coming into view. 😂
Watch your guys reaction every week love seeing star wars fans love star wars material thanx guys may the force be with you always
Amazing.
Couple of things specifically for you guys:
The Jedi master who was killed during the flashback CANNOT be Cin Drallig, since he was killed on screen by Anakin.
Thanks, Kyle & Bendu & Nerd Chronic!!! 🌱 I would have to say, my word of the day is: mesmerized. 🤩
Grogu couldn't jump until Luke found new ways to motivate him
The fact that the dragon skeleton is split between Jawas and the Freetown cantina to me means that Tuskens, Jawas, and Freetown came to an amicable agreement on it.
This episode was so overwhelming I totally forgot about Cad Banes and Fennecs connection
14:57 Bendu having a seizure at the sight of Ahsoka. LOL!
23:33 we know people on other planets knew someone had mandalorian armour the pykes probably found out and told bane before he went over
I think Yoda rebuilt his saber in an Age of Rebellion comic.
I need, NEED a scene where Luke tells Asoka about his father's return to the Light side of the Force on her show.
That’s actually not Cin Drallig, he was killed by Anakin in EP3 when Obi Wan watches the hologram
Especially after the Twins left, the line in the opening, _"It's worth more than your town."_ really emphasizes JUST how much of an investment the Pykes have in their claim on Tatooine, and how much of a wrench Boba Fett is throwing into the Syndicate's plans.
He was talking about the Spice itself. Its such a lucrative thing the Syndicate are going all in on trying to take over because of it.
Its awesome that you guys watch all the other reactions. I immediately check all the reactions after watching the show!
I don't think that was Drallig: He was killed by Vader on the hologram that Kenobi and Yoda saw, not by clones
Absolutely fantastic! So much fun seeing reactions like this.
This episode reawakened my curiosity as to why R2 powered up when he did. He's done this twice to my knowledge and I want somethiing beyond the "emotional storytelling" explanation we've gotten previously.
14:30 bruh that's Nick Gillard, which is where we get Cin Drallig
How you here dude!?"
I HOPE HOPE HOPE the war/battle of the next episode is like playing Hero Assault in OG Battlefront II.
This episode made me emotional. This is star wars.
This is the feeling I had when I was little watching the og trilogy on VHS
With filoni fully involved in this episode and knowing how he likes to set things up a lot of the stuff we see in this will pay off big time in future episodes and shows.
That chain mail will be the reason why Grogu survives Kylo Ren's attack years later.
Haha me too!!!
I watch these episodes once like, "officially," on Disney+, and then literally _dozens_ more times through these reaction videos for the next few days! 🤣
You guys are are my favorite nerds ever!!!!
And your new recording set up is sounding amazing and way less copy for bendu
Your predictions at the beginning of this episode had me rolling 🤣🤣🤣
The Luke face effect looked leagues better in this episode than it did in the Mando season 2 finale. As far as I'm concerned they've practically proven that Luke could have his own live-action show, or at least be a heavily recurring character. And that probably holds true for Han and/or Leia too...
New video recording setup is great
Just to get this right, did we really just saw luke, Ahsoka, Mando, grogu, boba fett, Cobb vanth, black krssantan, fenec Shand, the 501st and cade bane in ONE episode of the book of boba fett. Insane
Loved the reaction guys, this is a great day!
