    Krrsantan and Chewbacca are individual names. Their species is called Wookiee(s). Their language is call Shyriiwook. Their home planet is Kashyyyk. Wookiees have a long-running hate for Trandoshans because Trandoshans are known for tracking, hunting and enslaving Wookiees. Some of the Wookiees who were particularly fierce were forced to battle as gladiators. Krrsantan is one of those former gladiators.

    The reason why Fett has so much trouble with different members of the underworld in Book of Boba Fett is exactly *because* he's a fair leader. He doesn't act like any of the crime bosses they're used to, and they tend to confuse his sense of fairness with weakness, so they think they can get away with things.

    An old military tactic to hire the outcast and disenfranchised. They did keep Fenic alive when she was injured. The least he could do was hire them. I'd have all my crew eat at the big table. Sharing the wealth with food, drink and healthcare makes them loyal.

    I love the mod gang so much! The way they take care of their speeders by keeping them nice and clean despite living in the desert and despite so many insisting that "it doesn't make sense to have clean speeders on Tatooine" is such a brilliantly succinct commentary on the way many ""counter culture"" people get dismissed or even ostracized due to how they present themselves, no matter how innocuous it may be, just because it is different than what has already been accepted as normal or proper.

    Makes sense that if the Hutts are leaving Tatooine, the Pykes are going to move in for the spice trade. The Pykes want to monopolize the spice trade and are not a force to mess with.

    In the UK in the 1960s there were mods and rockers. Mods (short for Moderns) dressed in suits and rode scooters like Vespas and listened to bands like The Who. Rockers wore black leather and denim and rode big cc motorcycles, listening to bands like The Rolling Stones. The UK media managed to whip up a rivalry that spilled into actual violence and riots.
    The Mod(ified)s clearly took some inspiration here as an antagonist to the speeder bike gang.

    I saw the first Star Wars film when it was released in 1977. The Tusken Raiders were portrayed as brutal, dangerous, savage primitives. I love how TBOBF reveals them to have a sophisticated culture, and a deep-seated sense of honor. If you had told me in 1977 that I would one day mourn the deaths of Tuskens, I would have said you were crazy. But I cried when Boba found his new family slaughtered.

    Never forget, Boba is a clone. A great deal of the conflict you see in his character, I believe, comes from his genes. Our friends Rex and Echo and Fives are his brothers. Being a generally decent person I think is in his blood.

    The "Mods" are the kind of people I would either be hanging out with, or becoming one of, were I their age in that universe. I'm not kidding. While I'm 56 years old, I fall WAY outside the "norm" for people my age. I have long hair that I dye various colours (depending on my mood at the time), I wear nail polish and occasionally eye liner... I wear t-shirts and jeans (I recently "doctored up" a pair like we used to in the 1990s)... and wouldn't know how to act my age if I had an instructor. Because of that, I connect very well with younger people. I don't judge them, and they see me as "that cool older guy". I will offer the wisdom I've learned in my life (because of my various mistakes, and life experiences (good and bad)), so that they may not repeat the mistakes I've made. However, I don't judge them whether they take my advice or not. It is THEIR life to live, and I refuse to judge them on their decisions (good or bad).
    People (mostly my own age, and older) like to judge me because of my looks, and my "refusal to grow up"... but I've learned how to both counter their outdated belief structure, and not give a damn at the same time.
    I try to be of some benefit to others, in whatever small way I can. Even if it's just putting a smile on their face, because it may be the ONLY smile they get that day.

    I really can't stand the mods. They don't belong on Tatooine. Seriously, don't tell me they don't use the water they steal to clean their chrome Vespas. It's stupid on a desert world. And their looks are spot-on.
    Tatooine is supposed to be the lamest place in the galaxy. Daddy's Boys Emo Gangsters like these kids, I'd say okay on Coruscant, but really not on Tatooine.
    Anyway, that's it. I'm glad you like it, personally, I can't stand this series, essentially because of that, and because Boba Fett doesn't act like a crime lord, and he doesn't act like Boba Fett. I could have accepted a redemption arc linked to the Tusken, but in that case, why make him play the mafia villain ? It doesn't fit, it's stupid.

    • @ronweber1402

      That's where I am. The mods would fit in perfectly on Coruscant but on Tattooine they are totally out of place but I do like the idea of them just that the show put them in the wrong place and that scooter chase was so lame it needed a walker.

      @benjaminroe311ify ปีที่แล้ว

      The mods are my only problem. I can see how living and learning from the Tuskens and seeing the lawlessness of Tatooine first hand could cause Boba to change quite a bit and seek to be a benevolent king more than a harsh crime lord or bounty hunter. But the chrome slow mods do bother me too haha.

    • @officialmonarchmusic
      @officialmonarchmusic ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree, I'm fine with them conceptually, but their stuff should be dirty, dust-ridden. It is Tatooine after all. And I don't need Boba to be evil, but can he please be at least TOUGH? Like his Dad? To me, the way he acts in the flashbacks of episodes 1-3 is perfect, but both in the flashbacks in 4 and the present he just acts so weird, taking off his helmet all the time, acting friendly and not broken the way his character really should be

    • @ronweber1402

      @@officialmonarchmusic But that's the thing, he was rebuilt and reborn with the Tuskens. That being said I also wish they made him a little more ready to punish those who abused his good will. That would have set the tone that he wasn't to be messed with.
