Good job Jason. My brakes are probably just about ready to be done and it needs a passenger lower control arm. I'd like to do them both while I'm off work till after New Years, but Christmas has thrown me into poverty

Morning Jason. The old rotors were bigger. The new ones are thinner. May be the reason they don't cut rotors anymore.

There's Kia Forte in the family, and I had to file the edges of the aftermarket pads to fit. Seems like a common problem. Be good and Merry Christmas!

to me,, pads are a lot easier to change than brake shoes.

Filing the pads is where non~mechanics go wrong mostly.........they dont realize they should be loose and loose as possible because with the rust and grit on the roads here in NL the pads will tighten up before they wear out...........a good flat file I find works great for cleaning the bracket and trimming the pads..........putting grease on the pads are a no no this will attract dirt.....metal on metal is the manufactures way.......... very important is that those rotors are directionalJason as seen in my video I got it wrong the first time..........I put those rotors on my Van.......here is the link for the video th-cam.com/video/O3QbvAnuWnA/w-d-xo.html I would not recommend these rotors........I still have them on but they are noisy when appling the brakes different sounds and feel depending on how had you apply the brake.....having said that my brakes are wearing perfectly with minimal wear actually....courious to see how you do with them........

Yeah no problems so far, what i was surprised about was how many different opinions on how the slotted rotors go my advice is go with manufacturers' instructions. Cheers

@@DIYVariety The boxes that mine came in had left and right.....which I didnt see initially and had to redo it......yours is directional also....do you have more noise now than the original rotors??
