  • How to Make a Flannel Burp Cloth - Step by Step Tutorial, Part 2 of 2
    In this video I am sharing how I create flannel burp cloths. I’ve been sewing these for years and they are quick, and fun to make.
    I want everyone to be able to sew these adorable burp cloths, even if you are a beginner to sewing. So I included all the information, details and a bunch of helpful tips to get you started. :)
    To make 2 burp cloths you will need 1 yard of cotton flannel, thread, and a sewing machine.
    Please wash your flannel at least one time, or even two times, before cutting it. The flannel will shrink a lot!!! Also, clean out the lint trap on your dryer after drying it because it will shed quite a bit.
    I hope you can imagine me sitting next to you cheering you on as you sew these. Let me know if you have any questions! And please “Like” and subscribe!!!
    Be blessed, friends!!!

    I made twelve of these as a gift for a family member. After the baby came I was informed that these burp cloths are far superior to other burp cloths the parents had received. Thanks for the pattern!

      I was so glad I found your video too, I could only find the rounded patterns, but my daughter said they were sewed up too small.

    This is a very nice simple design and I like the idea of using all flannel instead of just a flannel piece sewed onto a cotton diaper. Thank you for all of your clear instructions and the demonstration.

    Just made my first using your tutorial. It was so easy and enjoyable to do!!! Both of my girls are expecting within 2 weeks of each other. I cannot think of anything that will be used more than these. I love the thickness of the middle and I know it will be absorbent. Thank you for making this video!!! ❤ 😊

    I plan on trying this, but use my embroidery machine to add a monogram, prior to stitching the layered center closed. Hopefully I can get the placement correct.

    • @CindyJohnson
      @CindyJohnson  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a great idea! I love it! You could baste a burp cloth together and mark where the best placement would be for the embroidery. Then remove the basting stitches and you’ll know exactly where to place the embroidery. Let me know how it turns out! I bet it will be lovely! Thanks for watching and for commenting!!! Blessings!!! ❤️

    Really love this project. i am new to sewing and wonder what size needle you are using for these burp cloths?

    • @CindyJohnson
      @CindyJohnson  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! I tend to use a universal size needle for most projects. So I think of a 70/10, 80/12, or a 90/14 as universal sizes. I think any of those would be appropriate here. I hope you enjoy making them. They are fun and mildly addictive to sew. Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to comment!!! Blessings!!! ❤️
