I use a piece of cotton and two layers of flannel. The middle one is white. It's for extra absorbation. I also clip my curves and do a good topstitch. I prewash all of the fabrics.

Thanks! These make great baby gifts. When I make these burp cloths, I use a decorative stitch around the edge by using a thread color to coordinate with the prints.

Could you use a decorative stitch on the top stitching?
loved your video. on your pattern it shows the smallest width 8" but what is the largest width on the burp cloth?
The length is 16 1/2. I would say you could do whatever size you want on the ends.

You can take it and have it enlarged. It was mainly so you would have the size of the pattern and shape.

It should be, you can always make a thicker one if you need to.

Do you have to add an address and payment information in order to get the free download?
The only way the site will send it is to go through the checkout process, you do have to add your address information. Once it gets to the payment screen it will say free and no card information is necessary.
What kind of fabric works best for burp cloths?

It should have been emailed to you. Once you click the download, it will download into your download file automatically. I don't think it will download on a phone or tablet, unless you have a PDF reader. If you want you can give us your email and we can email the file.

Can I use terry on the back layer?
Yes you can.

How is that a pattern? It won't fit on even legal size paper so obviously it has to be printed on two pieces of paper and taped together but there's no instructions on how to do that. Love the gesture but it's pretty useless unless you're an engineer.
