Run the fish tag sensor on the ground around where the eagles roost, see if any Eagles have eaten bass.
I'd upvote this twice if I could
I 3rd that idea!
Fantastic idea
I had that same thought 😂
First dead bass with a name and tag, the person who named it gets a trip!
4:11 Brown Watersnake, Nerodia taxispilota
7:00 Pretty sure it is a very wet juvenile Red-Shouldered Hawk
16:02 Toads of the genus Bufo (which your American and Southern Toads are) release bufotoxin from those large warty glands behind the eyes. It can potentially be fatal if a bass were to eat a couple of them, but it is such a great deterrent (as you can see!) that they hardly ever eat even a single one! Interestingly, the tadpoles also are unpalatable to bass, but species like Bluegills and Crappie seem to preferentially seek out toad tadpoles over many species of frog tadpoles.
21:28 I have mentioned this to you in several videos, do not know if it is getting to you, but you can see that there is growth on those willow branches. Willows are notorious for growing from cuttings, and you have mentioned how you do not want rooted plants to break the clay barrier of your pond, so you might want to check those. Hopefully this is just new stuff you have added more recently.
That is wonderful wildlife identification SuperDave.. Thank you, because I was interested in learning those kinds of things at the pond.
Hi
I could be wrong but it kinda looked like a juvenile chicken hawk
man this makes me miss my childhood home. we had 5 acres with a 1 acre pond we built on it when I was in middle school. So many good times. Nothin like having your own private swimming and fishing hole! by the time I moved out it had full on trees growing around it, made some awesome rope swing spots. Looking back I was truly blessed. Folks sold it last year, I'll miss it for sure. Hope the new family living there now loves it as much as I did.
Yes, I grew up with a creek running through our property which was 10 acres. I miss it. I loved it.
Awesome, I can only wish that I had that growing up...
Watching your videos is like taking a vacation, thank you.
Babe wake up, Bama Bass is adding 8000 new fish to his pond

great day to be alive
Either this or "I'm a simple man, I see XXXX, I click" 🥱😂
I tell my wife to go to bed to watch this 😅
First off, I absolutely love your channel, and have followed it since the very beginning! My Mom passed away a couple weeks ago, and my Pops moved in with me…He started my love of fishing and he also loves your channel now! So together we came up with some names! The male and two female Tilapia in Cedar Oaks should be called Jack Tripper, Janet Wood, and Chrissy Snow from Three’s Company…your new snake should be called Kenny Stabler…and if you haven’t named the bald eagles yet, dad suggested Brenda(mom) and Art, him, so somewhere he could always fly with her! Thanks for the your channel as he looks forward to every new episode! Tight lines sir! 🎣
This is the one channel I've followed for the past several years consistently. I always smile when I get a new video notification.
As an electronics guy I geek out when I watch this show. If I was retired and had time to dedicate to a project like this of my own it would never be a job. It's a passion and a hobby All 3 ponds are excellent. I love the progress. This farm will never be dated because everything's real time monitoring so you know when to address the issue before it's a major problem. It's just so cool to me. Your electronics/electrician is very talented. I couldn't build that. I could explain what I want but my wiring skills with relay logic aren't so good anymore. Incredible build.
The transformation has been amazing. Tackling and unmaintained overgrown pond myself soon. Learned a lot from you over the last couple of years!
I can watch you and Shawn Woods of Mousetrap Mondays beginning to end, fall asleep, study, and on long hour drives forever and not get bored.
Thanks, it has ben a pleasure watching the transformation from day 1.
Ever think about a native rain garden for the ditch? Help slow and asorb the water and it could bring in cool birds and insects as well as habitat and nice flowers/ grass. Plenty of ideas on TH-cam or your local soil and water district
❤❤ I'm not a fisherman or a farmer but I can't wait for my 7 to 10 day fix of your channel. Keep up the good work it's just absolutely fun watching your fish go crazy and all the wild animals you have in the area
24:43 is so cool how you have all the information of the tagged fish
Have you thought about adding a few paddlefish? They eat plankton and get very large. They farm raise them and you can order fingerlings. Just a thought!
Non-venomous Eastern banded water snake. A cotton mouth/water moccasin is a big bodied snake and one that long would be as big around as a baseball.
The tree growing out of the tree is amazing
That’s not how it works, unless the log still has a partial root system that branch will eventually die.
Absolutely wonderful journey! Congrats and best to the family! Thanks for sharing!
This is the social media I need everyday.
This media is delightful, entertaining, and I get to learn something every time.
Thank you Sir.
We use a blue dye in ours but curious your thoughts if you’ve ever looked into it.. In our pond we use blue bayou, it’s safe for fish and humans. Tractor supply carries it and it truly helps algae blooms for us..also have 6 sterile grass carp but they’re super skittish and take off when they see a human but they take care of the cottonwood or algae we’ve had in the past.
Amen to the sterile grass carp. Automatic lawnmowers that never stop working but can't breed. Be careful, though: it wouldn't take many of them for a 5-acre pond. Start with just a couple.
I have watched this pond build from the beginning and I always look forward to it. Thank you.
You keep makin' vids and buying new machines. We'll watch your videos to support ya!!!
Put a timed feeder with a pvc pipe though the roof of the small house so it can drop nuts down into the house every morning:)
Could make it look like a chimney and have the nuts come out of a fireplace.
@@JessiFayS that is a great idea
Wow, you've added so much since the beginning of this whole build, I'll have to watch some videos I must have missed. What a great environment, and a whole lot of work. I remember seeing the first episode of this, and to see it now is awe-inspiring. Good work ya'll.
YES! Thank you for this. Internet is still out after tornado in Tallahassee and this journey always brightens my day 😅
Every interesting that at 13:00 you showed a red winged black bird. We were at the Delaware river in Philly yesterday and saw one flying around. Saw two last year for maybe 4 to 6 weeks and they disappeared. We have been staying at a bay side hotel every summer last 25 years in Ocean City Md. Only saw them there twice in all of that time. Appreciate the great work and interesting interesting vidios that you produce. I'm a life long city boy and took me 60 years to finally see my first Eagle. They have thier nest roped off think at
you can not get closer then 200' to thier nest. Like to go there in early spring before leaves grow to watch them with my binoculars.
Greetings from Whitby UK.........Love the channel.
How about TIC, TAC, TOE for the Tilapia in the pond?.......................;)
I just found your channel this afternoon and I am already hooked. I love your beautiful pond and your voice over is just as relaxing as the views. Keep up the great videos. I subscribed and plan to binge watch often.
Hello from Okanagan, B.C. Canada
Been subbed for a while and enjoying the journey
Awesome been here since the very beginning and from Kelowna BC
First time viewer here, this guy is awesome.,hes like the Bob Ross of ponds
Most wholesome content on youtube
What an enormous amount of money spent, amazing!
And to think a have to plan out every time I have change the oil in my car.
Now that you’ve posted, I have something that I can finally fall asleep to in peace 😂❤
The snake in the pond is a diamond back water snake ( nonvenomus)
They eat fish and frogs. Don't bother humans.
*Jack, Janet & Chrissy* should be the tilapia names. *Three's Company*
Then we'll definitely need. a turtle called Mr Roper
The snake can be Lana.
I agree
Agree stole my names lol!
This is perfect.
oh i am SO happy to see redwing blackbirds making a home on the 5 acre pond! i grew up around them in our small town, since the drainage ditches all grew thick with cattails and redwings LOVE cattails for nesting. don't be surprised if you see these little buggers running off the bigger birds, redwings are serious about keeping the nest safe and they'll outright ride the back of eagles to pester them off a nest
It's a bandit water snake. Perfectly harmless.
My buddy was watching and he asked me what it was I was seeing if anyone had commented the answer yet before I said it.

It would be really cool to see a chronological progression video of your channel's growth over the years. From your first bass tank to where you are today...think about it!😊
Name the three Tilapia Huey, Dewey, and Louie.
That show back in the day with the brothers?
Call them the 3 muskeqeers
Ha I didn’t even look at comments til now. We had the same thought. Very nice!
That's what I was going to suggest.
Stole my suggestion. Good call!
I've been watching you since the beginning, you never cease to amaze me. Keep up the good work!!
"Electrolytes , it's what plants crave."
I love that movie
I watched that movie last night 😂
great film
You are the smartest man alive.
Good ol Brawndo. It's got what plants crave.
The tree seat growing a new branch is so cool!! Does it still have roots? If not you might be able to shave some bark off and apply root growth hormone to get the trunk to root again.
Charlie and his two angels.
Did one Die ?
@@markvanderstelt8999 🤣🤣🤣

I've enjoyed watching your pond build from the begining. I think what i like most of all is hiw far you've come with your project and how much you've learned in the process. You've tought us as well. Thanks for posting brother.
Also, if you have any idea why some of the tilapia have turned albino could you throw that out there? I did a quick search and had pretty vague answers so far
Personally I feel like you should put moby in cedar falls. Bonny and Clyde have the crimson oak!
That tree growin out of the tree looked like a tulip poplar, Liriodendron tulipifera, theyre lovely really long lived trees, up to 200 years old sometimes, and they even have some nice flowers
Hopefully it survives and thrives there
🐟🐟🐟Larry, Moe and Curly 🐟🐟🐟
19:55 Set up a nut released timer on a 12 hour timer so it releases in the morning and the evening.
Always a joy to get my 5 Acre Pond fix.
Never really watched content like this before.. it's not a subject I'm really interested in.. but just watch this start to finish and I think I have a new interest.. ❤
Can’t wait to see the summer action from the bass
Great job on the pond and farm!
Tilapia are native to the Nile so, Osiris and cleopatra and Nefertiti
Depends on what species he is stocking
just listening to your voice is so relaxing, keep it up brother with the amazing content!
Been waiting all day for you to drop 🙏🏽
Wow. These ponds together comprise a career to take care of.
Great vid'.
I think some good names for the 3 Tilapia would be Moe, Larry and Curly. And the snake could be named Kaa, just for giggles!
As for replenishing the house with nuts for the "dayshift", you could put in the ceiling a timed feeder that drops them at dawn. I would put it on the top of the house (easier to refill) and let the nuts drop by gravity thru the ceiling. Will avoid that extra task in the morning m8. Cheers
Jack Tripper. Chrissy & Janet 😂😂
I love your channel man, been watching it for years now. It's honestly relaxing to sit back and watch a new BamaBass upload. Keep up the good work!!
Now my day is complete. Getting my bamabass fix in. Let's go 😊
I really love this channel, it's so informative and it's helped my fishing also. It gives you an idea of what to look for when you're out bassin' and also what to avoid. Thanks so much! I can't wait to see the weather stats graphed out with the fish migrations.
The three tilapia, how about Larry Curly and Moe?
I was going to suggest this too.
I thought the same thing.
I said the same thing
I just posted the same names
I just posted the same names too❤
Here’s some money to name one Silent Ronin. Can’t wait to see my fish on the video. Hahaha
Snap, Krackle & Pop 😂
love crimson oak updates every week holy keep up the good work !!
New video 😊🎉 I setup a native fish mini pond with crappie and sunfish
From Iowa so not sure how Small Mouth fair in Alabama but would love to see some more types of game fish in the pond!
Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner for the names.
You folks are doing very well! Congrats! Amazing change in 1 year sir! Nice job from CA and GA!
Gus Gus is no mouse and probably not a male . thats a field rat mom and her baby PLEASE don't hurt her. They are very smart and gentle beings . I raised one from a day old that survived a predator attack on the nest . Fed her with an eye dropper for a month day and night and she is my pet now She thinks I'm her mother. They are intelligent affectionate , gentle creatures . My Flora gives me kisses every time i pet her. If you don't want them in your squirrel house just put citrus or mint in there as they don't like the smell . Believe me they have enough predators around already and they are just trying to survive .
Looking forward to seeing how the bass likes moving from the tank to the pond and having some neighbors and sun and rain etc. ❤
Moby spitting out the toads in mating position was hilarious
You Tube be messing up, I have your channel on ring alert and it didn't ring, my favorite channel!!! Scrolled down at 3 in the morning and here you are .
For the three Tilapia, How about Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion like the 3 dragons from game of thrones. Since we already have some GOT inspired things like the oak throne.
No hate but thats a 👎🏼
Idk y. But really find this satisfying, relaxing and it's jus beautiful. Blessings too the family and their hard work
Haha! The plant expert guy has been really making his rounds lately. He was just in Kamp Kenan's video today 😂
On the family farm that we spld a few years ago (would give anything to still be there) we had a catch basin pond that due to the depth (or lack of) we had a lot of algae every year. For the last 5 years we were there I would get copper sulfate & throw it as far as I could. Would then get the 1½" water pump & put a nozzle on the end of it to aerate the water. Within a couple of days, most of the algae would be gone. A couple of years I had to do it again during the summer but to not have to look at it with algae several times daily was worth it.
Trevor is a great name for the cedar falls tilapia! Such an epic channel, I always look forward to watching. 😊Just been waiting for the day we see Bonnie or Clyde ping the fish tracker! 😏
I just got a new rod and would love to test it out on your pond! Love from Alberta, Canada!
Name the tilapia Jack, Janet, and Chrissy after the threes company cast.
Thats what I was thinking too!
Lol. I thought the same thing because one of the episodes came up earlier
Good call, beat me to it! 😂
Beat me to it as well! Another vote for Three’s Company.
You beat me to it! This is perfect!
Your narration is awesome
Ned, Dusty and Lucky, after the Three Amigos!!!
8:55 that box with the pond on it is so cool!! Can we see it up close?
I can help with snake identification…………that’s Tim
If you don't have a PhD as a herpetologist, you damn well should. 😂
To me it looks like a cottonmouth. I really couldn't get that good of a look it does kind of look like a water moccasin! Are they poisonous! Yes, cottonmouth bites can be deadly to humans, but they are rare and severe injuries are extremely rare. In the US, fewer than one in 37,500 people are bitten by venomous snakes each year, and only one in 50 million people will die from snakebite. In the past 40 years, only three people have died from cottonmouth bites in the US. they eat fish frogs toads birds. Everything you have their it's a perfect feeding ground I mean at the end of the day you're going to get them but to be honest I know you have children I believe you had a young upcoming family there Perry to me I find you very fascinating in a pretty cool character at that I would personally and I hate to say it identify it and make sure it is what I think it is and if it isn't poisonous but don't take the chance especially with your children
To me it looks like a cottonmouth I cannot really tell the colors because I'm so blind but it's not a laughing matter especially if you have the kids around them don't take the chance it's a water moccasin that's what I believe it is they are poisonous and they can kill a human especially a child if bitten and they are a very temperamental snake and they love to best in the Sun so they could be all around but it's good because you keep the areas mowed around the pond that will deter snakes but at the same time it's not a boundary neither it's a part of nature dislike it is a part of nature for a father to want to protect your child
Whys it gotta be Tim? haha
@@NotAnotherTim you don't know a Tim when you see one?
I love every One of these from the start of your pond to the last video 😀
harmless water snake (you can tell by the pupils at 4:10)
Can you please tell me a little bit more how you knew that ?
I cant see the pupils but it looks like a juvenile Florida Cottonmouth to me.
Either a juvenile king water snake or a souther water moccasin (southern or Florida cotton mouth) they bith look very similar but hard to decipher wothout seeing it upclose
If the snakes mouth is bright white (almost a little blue) its a water-moccasin (cottonmouth)
Also cotton mouths have basic pupils they dont have “cat” pupils like most venomous snakes.
You guys are so blessed how in the world do you afford all this! I love watching your videos It really inspires me.
The 3 Tilapia should be called Jack,Janet and Chrissy from "Three's Company" as they're 2 female and 1 male tilapia!
Finally i finished watching all your pond vids sheesh it took me a min!
Tilly, Lilly, Philly!
Still can’t wait for the day you catch either Bonnie or Clyde. Interested to see how big they have gotten
Tim the tilapia 😎
Keep an eye on the Victorian Lilly, they are invasive and can choke a pond ( given that's information from Australia in a more tropical area so they do grow out of control fast here ) I would assume in Alabama winter should take care of them but keep an eye on them anyway. Love your work & I'd love to take a look first hand at your pond one day. I'll be back states side at the end of the year. So ya never know lmao.
Keep making videos, I'm stunned you don't have millions of subscribers by now.
Name the three Tilapia: Jack, Janet and Chrissy from Threes Company.
Did you copy the person two comments below?👇🏼🙊 If not great names 🙌🏼
That's exactly what I was thinking!!!

6 minutes im late 😔
7 mins and can’t be happier
Your life is pretty good if you're watching a bamabass video, I wouldn't worry about it.
Red wing blackbirds are common here. They're a great background on walks.
Some species of toad excrete a super bitter compound on their backs.
