    I know u posted this a while ago, but how do you like this set up after driving it? I'm thinking about doing something similar to my Fit

      Check out my set up I have Drag DR-34 17x7.5 they are overall improve handing and body roll is decreased although I did lose 1-2 mpg with the bigger wheels. I think 16x7 is best size and look and performance.... like happy medium!

    The original wheels would be good to use for snow tires if you live in a cold climate. I have Michelin X-ice on my CRV

    Nice looking wheel. What color is your car? You did not like the CVT? Better MPG with the CVT.

    • @DaBinChe
      @DaBinChe  10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      ***** Silver, yes the CVT is suppose to get better MPG but I don't like driving automatics puts me to sleep

      DaBinChe I thought it was silver but in some parts it looked white. Good color. Wheels look much better than stock.

    The thinner tire will give you better gas mileage... you should've put the lighter rim with the smaller tire width for best mpg.

    • @DaBinChe
      @DaBinChe  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      thinner do give better MGP but that rim is too wide, 195 is the thinnest that is safe for a 7" rim

  • @dimithegreatest
    @dimithegreatest 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi. I've the same car. Tyre size is 15*185*60 . However, I recently changed my tyres to 15*185*65 . This kind of made the car bit higher than how it was. My only concern is will that have impact on handling and performance? Do you have any ideas?

    • @DaBinChe
      @DaBinChe  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      taller profile will have less sharpness in steering. But larger diameter won't make much of a difference cause the car is geared so low to begin with. You might find that you'll like it more on the freeway

      DaBinChe my stock tyre for honda jazz is 175/65/r15 vch one do u recommend for better performance :
      1)195/60/r15
      2)185/65/r15

    • @DaBinChe
      @DaBinChe  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both those sizes are larger in diameter then your stock but also you have to consider width of your rim. Stock rim might not fit a 195 tire.
      My set up performance comes from lower weight, 4lbs. off for each wheel.

  • @Lukescomment
    @Lukescomment 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Because it short ratio gearbox so u put bigger wheels on it

    • @DaBinChe
      @DaBinChe  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I mainly wanted wider tires, stock is only 185 I wanted 195 or 205. The closes size is a bit larger or smaller in diameter in the 195 or 205 so I picked the larger because the gearing is very short/low

  • @christophercooper1472
    @christophercooper1472 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just checking in, you still have these tires and rims for this car ? Has it treated you well? If you definitely recommend it, could you possibly link me where you got these at?

    • @DaBinChe
      @DaBinChe  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      These rims have been discontinued in this size. The tires were ok when new but didn't like them much as they got near wear bar. I do like the rims, nice and light. I got them from TireRack.

    • @christophercooper1472
      @christophercooper1472 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DaBinChe so you kept the rims? What tire size alternative did you choose ? And has it worked best ? Or better?

    • @DaBinChe
      @DaBinChe  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@christophercooper1472 Tire size dependent on width of rim and diameter of original size. Diameter wise keep it within 1/2" of original and you'll be fine. This rim is 7" wide so I can use 195-215 tire width.
      Use TireRack's wheel/tire sizing configurator.

    • @christophercooper1472
      @christophercooper1472 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DaBinChe sorry still asking questions cause I'm super curious. If you could do things over, would you try 14s? Or keep at 15 for performance/efficiency

    • @DaBinChe
      @DaBinChe  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@christophercooper1472 the problem with 14s is there aren't that many tire sizes or selection to choose from if you want performance tires. I would stick with 15's. I would go with 205/55-15 on 7" wide rims has 23.9" diameter. The stock size diameter tire is 23.7". You get more wheel selections with 15x7 too and some are sub 10lbs.

      doesn't look right, big wheels with little brakes. But if you do make sure the diameter is within about half inch of original. Also profile of tire will bo so thin that ride is be bumpier and all the other downside of low profile tires.
