I am soooo glad you recommended that vegetable chopper! I can not believe how much I use it! I canned 52 pints of salsa the other day and I used it for all the tomatoes, onions and peppers. Prep was a breeze! Love the videos!
Good morning, great way to make sloppy joe sauce, many ways to use this. using different color peppers adds color to the sauce, looks pleasing. New here, hope to see you around, have a great day.
I just watched this again and noticed while you were filling the jars the music was the evening cricket song which triggered my happy heart. No more beautiful music than God's creatures singing His praise.
This looks like a simple but very effective sloppy joe sauce. Looking forward to what you have for us in crocktober that should boost your subscribers too
lol I think I may have been your first commenter ever, if not first, then within first few. (Vid you made for Inspired by Kneady) Glad you stuck with it and are becoming more and more comfortable. Thanks for inviting us into your home! By this time next year you'll probably have 50k subs! 💕All blessings to you and yours! P.S. I never throw the top of the pepper away either
Thanks for being my cheerleader! I’m shocked how my channel has grown in these few months. It took me a month to do that first video… I’m surprised that Heather told me to make a video like who am I? Then again she says I’m just mom! I just wish I had internet in the house…lol I’m grateful for what I have!
Thank you for joining in on the collaboration, I have added the video to the play list. I would have never thought of this I think I am going to try this.
Hi LeAnn! I love my chopper too, but my daughter put my blades somewhere and I can’t find them...hope she didn’t throw them away. This starter looks delicious and I would be thrilled to have some on my pantry shelves. When my children where little, I grew a huge garden and loved to can everything I could humanly possible to put up to feed my family through the winter since my husband’s work was seasonal. We always killed a hog the day after Thanksgiving and hang hams, smoke bacon in the smokehouse, yum, I miss those days. Now I’m babbling on, lol. Have a blessed day my friend!
Hello Leanne!! I am not a store bought sloppy joe fan...I am excited to see if I like this recipe. I want to make a small batch to taste before I can it!
I sure wish I already had this canned for dinner tonight!! After working all day it sure is wonderful to have a fast healthy dinner on the shelf and avoid the drive through at McDonalds!!!
G'day LeAnne. Another good one and very handy to have sitting and waiting to be combined with something. I won't ask you about tilting the jars as you take them out. 😁 All the best. Daz.
I'm never busy ever! But I have an opposite problem that I lost my appetite with my syndrome 30 years ago. So I don't have these things ready to go I simply won't eat for days on end. I don't even remember to eat because I have no appetite. My caregiver has to make me something and being from Africa she doesn't know how to make sloppy joes so I just tell her to Brown a pound of ground beef and then add this jar to it. However, I now can it with meat and as long as it isn't solidly packed and so dense that you can't get heat into it it's fine to do that at least in my home. I'm not the only one.:-)
Thank you, Leanne for another great canning video! We’re still harvesting peppers and tomatoes, and we love sloppy joes, so I’ll be giving this a try. Hugs & Blessings, Mary
I’ve made this before and really like it for a quick meal. And I have canned ground beef so it is really fast. Thanks for the other ideas to use it. Great suggestions!
Those peppers and onions are gorgeous. Great looking sauce-thanks for the tutorial. Canning videos are wonderful. You give me confidence. Glad to see you will be in the Crocktober colab -can hardly wait to see what you make. Exciting to see your channel grow.
Thank you! Canning is easy as long as you follow the rules and the recipe. I’m stoke to be apart of Crocktober. I enjoyed watching it last year and still make some of the recipes from it! I know it’s exciting for me to see but I’m trying to stay humble about it!
Great content! I love your channel, because you are so down to earth. "a little more vinegar won't hurt", "I just had it in my hand! My magic wand." Delicious recipe. I always keep this in my pantry also.
I came across this recipe the year I had 70 pepper plants and didn’t know what to make with them… I didn’t know then how much I would love this recipe!
@@MennoniteFarmhouse Ours is a small garden, raised beds, and a small in ground plot. It's easier for me to work the raised beds because while I can get on my hands and knees to work the garden, I have a hard time getting back up. 🤣 We do have plans for more raised beds, and enlarging the in ground.
Hey! Found you through Acer Homestead! I love sloppy joes and am excited for this video! I was curious where you got your apron. Been trying to find one just like it. :)
Congrats on hitting 1K! Found you through Kneady when you had just started and you've learned so much since that first video! Can't wait for your Crocktober cake because it sounds divine!!! I appreciate the voice over parts for things you neglected to say on camera, but perhaps you could figure out how to adjust the volume of those bits to match the rest of the video. When watching with earbuds so as not to disturb the rest of the family, the voice over parts about blew out my eardrums. LOL 😆 Lovin your videos, keep up the good work!
Thanks Karen... I'm glad you are sticking it out with me as I learn to edit. I wish my husband would watch my video to proof them but he is simply too busy. I have certainly come along way since that yogurt video, that took me a month to produce....this one was half a day just because I was sick and couldn't get my thoughts in my head.
@@MennoniteFarmhouse You are learning faster than I would, so don't get down on yourself! I hesitated even saying anything because I have so much respect for those who put themselves out there and get out of their comfort zone. I'm an artist/crafter and have toyed with the idea of creating a channel but its even harder to put yourself out there when people are also critiquing your work!!! I noticed many channels have issues with volume balance, especially when adding music, so I know it must either be a process to make it even or they just don't notice it themselves. For sure if they were listening with earbuds or headphones they'd catch it 😄 Hope you feel better soon and thanks for taking the time to respond!
We both love sloppy joes but i seldom fix them. Just don't think of it. Making it tonight. I took out hamburger for Taco Tuesday but I don't have all of the ingredients we want. I do have SLOPPY JOE fixins.
It’s Ball stainless steel 21 Quart water bath canner and I got the first one from Ball’s website when they still sold from their website and the second one came from Goods store. They have a website if you don’t live near Lancaster county Pa.

I def need to make this I still have a boatload of mira peppers growing in the garden, now I know how to use them up!!! Thanks!!
That’s how I found this recipe…. Planting too many pepper plants from seeds and needing a place to put them…🥰
I use 1 pint for two pounds of ground beef for less sloppy joes.
Hi nice to meet you and so excited to learn more about you and your channel
Thanks so much for visiting me!
Here from @Black's Tropical Homestead. I definitely want to start canning. Thank you!

Oh yes I did!
I love peppers raw, but cooked - not so much - how weird is that?
I love raw peppers but they don’t like me… indigestion bad. It’s a different taste. I get it.
Hey, LeAnne do you have a link to the chopper? I need a new one, broke my old one. This one looks sturdier.
It’s in my Amazon Storefront… if not I know it’s linked in my review of the chopper.

Thank you! Yes, I’m a one woman show…. I’m self taught. That’s a huge compliment!
Thanks for your video! Was that prepared mustard and how much?
It’s 1/2 cup of Dijon Mustard. ball announced an update, the Vinegar to a whole 1 cup today.
How much mustard and how much tomato sauce
6oz can of paste and 1/2 cup of mustard.
Where did you get your thick pot from?
It’s Ball stainless steel 21 Quart water bath canner and I got the first one from Ball’s website when they still sold from their website and the second one came from Goods store. They have a website if you don’t live near Lancaster county Pa.
How many cups of sauce per batch
One batch makes 4 pint jars
You said to ask me how you know about not tilting your jars...do they break?
No but the potential for them not to seal is there.
@@MennoniteFarmhouse thank you so much!
