I appreciate that you have the ingredients listed in the description. It makes it so much easier to make a printed copy of it. I made a batch of this relish yesterday. It's so delicious! There are so many meals that this relish would enhance. I will be canning it in pint jars in the future.
I'm from New England; my mother used that term all the time: waste not want not... Thank you for the bittersweet reminder. She's been gone for 46 years.
Thank you so much for showing me this recipe I definitely will be making it this week and I know the first person I’m gonna give some to is my brother he loves this stuff talk to you later thank you again
I always stock my freezer with cranberries when they go on sale after the holidays, so I think I'll make some of this soon with some of the bags in the freezer.
I'm inspired!!! I know what I will be making this coming Thanksgiving! Years ago, I used to make a raw cranberry and orange relish. I was the only one who liked it though. I bet everyone will like this one! I totally agree with you about golden raisins - they taste so different than the dark ones. I use the golden ones for anything that calls for raisins. Thanks, LeAnne.
I haven’t had anyone say they didn’t like it yet. I made this for the churches Thanksgiving day meals that we gave to older members of the community and I got very positive feedback from that. Thanks Lori!
This recipe did not disappoint! I finally got around to making this. This is everything you said and more! Helpful tip for others ... this started to burn slightly. I laid my pressure canning rack on the burner and then the pot. Worked like a charm. Thank you for all the inspiration!!
Looked this video up after your 'Live' on 10/23/23. Looks great. I have lost my mother's recipe or never had it (because my sister says hers is mom's & it isn't in my memory). So, I will try this at Thanksgiving. Once again. Thank you.
Found a recipe for cranberry relish for Thanksgiving. When preparing it I found the apples were gone s I used a pear. Now I find this s I'll give it a second attempt. Thank you
I make 4 oz jars of jam or a condiments and depending on the time and year I make gifts to give to the folks at church ( mothers and Father’s Day) and I know the alcohol burns off but I do not know if anybody has an issue with alcohol! and thank you for inspiring me/us and taking the time to do these wonderful videos , have a blessed day!
Omg this was amazing..I made it tonite..2 little changes added craisins instead of raisins and add 1 cup brown sugar instead of 2 white..we had 2 😃 cause it's a Mennonite farmhouse recipe made for an amish farm couple by an English girl from the city that wants 2 b a farmgirl..have a blessed Christmas 🎄 and thx again..marie from 🇨🇦
This would make an excellent fruit crisp as well or pie. I am a purist when it comes to Holiday cranberry sauce but any other time I love things like this! :-) thank you so much for sharing and bless you and your family! :-)
Thanks for sharing your recipe, that looks delicious! I just picked up fresh cranberries to can some relish. I use a recipe from my aunt that has canned crushed pineapple, sugar and cranberries. If you aren’t canning it, you also add a Tablespoon of unflavored gelatin to thicken it. I will have to pick up a couple of pears and oranges to try your recipe.
I was just looking for a cranberry relish video and got intrigued with canning! I’ve never thought of or canned before, now I’m looking for canning videos! I have so many questions!! Thanks for sharing, glad I found your channel!
Welcome! I’m so glad you are here! I’m just about to make this relish myself. I love this recipe and it’s a staple all year round. I’m here to help, I don’t have the answer I will make sure get the right answer for you when it comes to canning.
Yum! Looks like it would be tasty in oatmeal to sweeten it up. "Waste not want not" is a term I am very familiar with. Also "never throw away today that which you could use tomorrow."♥️
G'day LeAnne. I have already watched these on the TV, so back to comment. This is a really nice combo. Not one I have tried or even considered before and I bet it tastes as good as it looks. All the best, Daz.
I finished a double batch today of this relish, it is soooo delicious! I emailed you a couple pictures. Now I have to get supper going- Many Blessings!
I make this all the time. Our kids hated it as children and now as adults, it’s the first thing they ask for at the holidays. We now eat it all year long. I don’t cook mine. Are use the processor. I keep them in the freezer, the cranberries, I buy tons of them and use them all year. So I process them down to relish ties which is easy when they’re frozen I put them in a bowl then I do oranges navel oranges there’s no seeds and I processed my oranges. I put them together I add sugar and keep it really simple without spice I like to add a little bit of apple and pear to it to give it some really nice sweetness but I don’t cook anything. However it will cook in the jar if you process it And before I process it I let it sit in the refrigerator overnight in case I want to add a little bit of pectin and I do it that way and it’s so easy that’s not standing over the stove trying to cook everything. Easy Peezy that’s what I’m all about as I get older. Our oldest is 35 youngest is 26 so they’re grown adults who now ask for it all the time. So this year I figured I would Canet so we’d have it all year just take it off the shelf but cranberries are high here in Missouri. Are used to live in Pennsylvania I grew up there and my brother lived in Lancaster. Beautiful country
Leanne I am back again to look at the recipe! This was such a hit last year. We have 1 jar left so I will be canning this again if I can find some inexpensive cranberries!!
I've made this for Christmas presents this year. Did a practice batch and it was very good, this is a new keeper in my recipe box. Thank you for posting.

I noticed the blue ring on the seal is thicker than Ball or Golden Harvest. I am going to continue using them as well. Thanks for sharing another great video! :)
