Maaaan I have a few Shimano reels, K, M, DC curados, even the Stradic spinning model. I love em. Smooth action !! Been soaked in the rain a few times last summer and they are still as Smooth as ever 💪. The K, and M On medium Shimano convergence rods will sling a light crank a ways away hahaha I love em.

Hard to beat. I have some old green curados and castaics that are 20 something years old and I use the heck out of them and they're still kicking.

Can you throw 1oz baits on this reel?

You can if it's properly adjusted but larger bodied reels with bigger spools would be better suited for heavy baits. This reel was specifically made to handle lighter baits.
