Great video, lovely too meet you at weekend mate ,thanks for the tips about fishing the shingle bank ,definitely be back soon ,great idea about inside out squid ,looking forward to watching more of ya videos
Cheers Mark, nice meeting you. I thought I had already responded to your comment but it appears not. Milford can fish really well but has to be the right conditions. 🎣👍🏻
A great watch Mark, thanks so much for the entertainment. Regarding the Pointer, I've read about sea dogs but that's ridiculous, but makes a change from dogfish. John Williams
Sorry for not remembering your name but it is something I always struggle with. It was a strange evening on the beach with the dog out to sea and the fireworks in the distance. It wasn’t very warm either. 🥶
@@seaangling lol not a problem Mark, wasn't the easiest venue or conditions for sure but entertaining nonetheless, found your doggies this time!! so hopefully a ray next time, many thanks again n stay safe
@@nigelmurgatroyd5027 feel free to contact me in the future when you are travelling down. I’ll do my best to update you on how the area is fishing. 🎣👍🏻
Well done for finding my tackle! I got weeded out last two times down there. 6 knot rip tide at the castle. It’s better fishing 75 - 100 yards off the beach huts at Milford car park, there’s a sand bar
Only just caught up with this one 🤦♂️ Nice trip, funny how a few years ago you wouldn't think of fishing for smoothounds if you didn't have crabs, now they seem just as happy to eat squid.Couldn't believe how clear the water was too 🎣🦈
I quite like fishing at Milford. Rotten bottoms are a good idea. Loose the sinker, but keep the rig body and hopefully the fish. The only thing is that you can't retrieve the lost weights because of a lack of tangled line. Lovely smooth hound! Another mark I enjoy is at Highcliffe. I may bump into one day.
Great video thanks Mark! "Starry on the beach"! Puts a new slant on "Doggy in the boat"! Nice location, great session, wish I'd been there. I also wish I could use termalinks permanently attached to my leaders, but all of the rods I use have tip eyes to small to pass them through. Tight lines - stay safe & well. 👍👍
I love how organised you are....I spend so long setting up 😊 I've got all the gear now & a bait waiter that i cantvwait to use. Well, nearly all the gear apart from my tent..I'm currently using a pop up sturdy beach tent that works when not too windy. I used two sticks on my last trip ...held it up 🤣 but what angling tent would you recomend Mark?
I have had the Ian Goulds Igloo beach shelter for some time now and it has lasted well. There is a video on the channel comparing Igloo with Bigaloo. I’m surprised families don’t tune into them and take them to the beach for privacy and shade. 🤷🏼♂️
I do like a stary Mark. Well done. Not fished there for couple of years had my first double figure bass at a cracking 12 pound. Happy days . Keep it Reel. Look forward to xa next adventure.
Gonna go hit chesil... Have heard undulates have been coming out of the Ferrybridge section after dark, so will go for a general species hunt then target them later in the day
Got to say...looked and got some imps. Can safety say..either I'm doing something wrong or they are utter rubbish.. compared to Gemini equivalent. Can't even use the bloody things. They are not a complete unit ,which gemini are, plus even with damn pliers you just cannot get the 2 components to attach to form the bloody imp in the 1st place...crap bit of kit? ....or what am I doing wrong? 😕
If you are struggling to attach the components there is a tool that you can get, very simple to use. I manage with my little sausage fingers and love an IMP. “The” most reliable bait clip imo.
Was a good evening fishing thanks again

Great watch mark 👍👍
Loverly to see you on beach cracking video mark
Cheers buddy, getting close to beach season now and I hope to visit the “big beach” soon.
Nice hound mate and that undulate was stunning great video mate tight lines
The markings on an undulate are amazing. I was a little jealous. 😉
I am of out tomorrow night first time since out on molly moo really busy at work

Tight lines buddy. 🎣
If I could replicate that from the shore mate I would be over the moon and exhausted 😁👍
A really enjoyable evenings fishing thank you . Great to see the dog safe and well after his / her very long swim . Tight lines bud 🎣
Thank you for the invite, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Hi mark you ok mate. Pleased to see you bk out on the beach. All the best from grimsby.
Great watch.👍. What is it about reeling in free tackle and feeling like you just won the lottery . It makes my day when that happens .

The German Wire Hair Pointer that came past looked like he was doing about 6 knots before he headed towards the needles.

Always a good watch Mark. The shingle back is an interesting venue. It's been 55 years since I last fished there.
Fancy fishing it again?

Keep an eye out for my bright yellow shelter, come and say hi.
The needles park does a firework display every Thursday down alum bay during the summer holidays, watched them also while fishing.

The gold flecks down its flank really shone back in the light from my head torch. Magical.
Not a bad little session mate... Still trying to find my first undulate so got a 16 hour session lined up tomorrow.... Fingers crossed
Where are you off to?

Thanks for the tip.... Hoping for some fresh mackeral too to use
Can't remember when I last fished that mark Mark...hark, is that another dog?
It can fish amazingly well but is very tide sensitive.
Great video mark good job… is the sentry fireblade a strong rod for like ray fishing and big fish
It is an entry level Century rod but will cope with Solent/South coast fishing. For rough ground/big fish I’d go for something else.
@@seaangling thanks for the advice
No dogfish but still a dog shows.👍
I had the fear that someone was going to go into the water after it which is always a bad idea.
