Suprised you didn't get more but that's fishing.... Had a nice Gurnard myself the other day.... Was using a weedless black minnow for bass and bouncing it across the bottom and the Gurnard picked it up literally about 8ft out.... Was a beautiful fish and unexpected
Impressive that you got a Gurnard on a black minnow. They can’t all be red letter days but I will admit to being surprised it didn’t fish better on the night.
ANother great video thanks Mark! Had to put my shades on - that new shelter is a bit bright! You'll get known as Banana Boy! Nice session with some helpful info. I put the link for the "how to make baitloaders" video into another tab on the Laptop and will watch it in a minute, but TH-cam says I have already given it a like, but I always leave a comment, so I can't have watched it as no comment there from me? Seen that happen a few times lately! Stay safe & well! 👍👍
Hiya Mark. Another good vid, perfect intro and music. Beautiful Gurnard, good rigs and baits, you were unlucky not to catch more but still a lovely way to pass time with nice views. Like the new shelter, I have a similar imax version that folds down light and compact as it needs to fit into the boot of my car. Pole Joints can sometimes be fidly though. Looking forward to next session. 👍
Hi Mike, I hope you are keeping well. Moving into Autumn/winter I’ll be out on the shore more with the occasional boat trip. Not every day can be hectic and amazing or it would become the normality and we wouldn’t appreciate it when it is. 🎣👍🏻
I’ve been watching the weather forecasts and was thinking the same myself but I have other plans for this weekend. Here’s hoping conditions are right for you, let me know how you get on. 🎣👍🏻
Great video as usual do like to catch a gurnard I always think they look tropical Have also been trying to take less gear fishing but always seem to still take to much would be great to see what you end up taking always worried that I won’t have enough to finish the session thanks very much and keep the great videos coming 👍🎣👍
Hiya mark if you enjoy using diawa millionaire reels then you absolutely love the abu 6500 mag pro reels silky smooth to cast and no birds nests. They are in a gun metal Grey.
Nice vid Mark, would be really good to get a Gurnard, supposed to be a few over here in alum Bay towards the needles. Really nice information as always. Thanks bud
I’m slowly trying to get as many species on the channel as I can and everyone of them is their own challenge. Gurnards are stunning creatures and I’ve had a couple this year now. Cod is ‘the’ target for the next few months. 🎣👍🏻
Another really enjoyable video Mark! Astonishing I've never commented before as I enjoy your films. Well done on the gurnard. I'm planning on heading that way in a couple of weeks. Never fished it, would be great to pick your brains about it if you don't mind?
@@seaangling I've been doing research on the area. Most suggests that it can be weedy, will the weed disappear in October? Everything says to fish neap tides and the ebb for the shingle bank, my trip is on neaps but I can only fish tide up, will this be ok on the bank or should I look elsewhere? Will bream and flatties be around? Finally, is there a spot I can visit if the Milford beaches are blown out? Hope you don't mind the questions.
@@tomsheffield3408 the tidal pull can be very strong hence the advice for neaps. I would say the second or third small tide building for best results. Weed can be a problem as it seems to be a focal point.
@@seaangling thank you so much! I'll give it a go, you never learn if you don't try things. Looking forward to getting down there. Keep up the top work with the films!
Nice video mate how did you get on with the shelter was it as easy to put up as the bigaloo or do you stand it up and then cover the skirts still looking to replace mine but cant get an igloo anywhere lovely little gurnard though was going to try and go tomorrow night but I think the weather might put paid to that tight lines mate
I think the igloo will be easier to put up as the top part of the Daiwa can be awkward in the wind. I can lay the Bigaloo on the ground and cover the skirt before lifting it up. I haven’t worked out how to do that with the Daiwa. The benefit is how small it packs away and how light it is. Nice having both tbh and choosing for the conditions/mark.
Crab Cart. Cart (also referred to as crab cart) is a sea fishing bait made up from the insides of a brown crab, a species also referred to as the edible crab. Cart is seen as an extremely effective all-round bait for sea fishing and is especially good for catching big winter cod.
Great stuff as always!!!!
Thank you. Exciting times now as we head into cod season. Always gets everyone enthusiastic and up for time on the beach/boat. 🎣
Nice vid. Many thanks .

I’m replacing the yellow Daiwa shelter as the camera doesn’t like it and it confuses the light sensor. Who’d of thought. 🤷♂️

Very well thanks Mark, how is the tip of your finger now, hope its 100% now. 👌
Nice new shelter, you should have warned viewers that sunglasses are used at viewers digression! It’s certainly bright Mark!
No mistaking me on the beach 😂
Sunglasses are optional but I might need a colour filter for the camera. 😉
@@seaangling congratulations on your second Gurnard!
I use prawn for all my thornback fishing mark I've had bass and cod and a twenty pounds conger on prawn nice to see you on the beach mate
I need to get some and give it a good go at different marks. 👍🏻
Great video mark very informative 👌👌
Thank you, I’m so glad it helps. Even if there is one little thing to try or consider it makes it worthwhile. 👍🏻
Down chesil Sunday mark hopefully for a cod as the sea will hopefully be coloured enough!! Just hope I can fish though the wind

I was considering doing a video showing a lightweight set up as I think we all like to see what other people take.
@@seaangling that would be great can I just ask how did you get on without the box to sit on???
I had a little fold up stool/seat

Shame we can't have a great session every time, but at least you didn't blank.
Being out sometimes is enough.
Stay safe. 😷
Wise words but we would all prefer to avoid the big “B”. 😉🎣👍🏻
Am loving the colour of the shelter perfect, just hope those little midgys don't love it as well..
I think a wind blown Chesil during autumn winter will see those little critters off.
subscribed ... 👍
Very much appreciated 👍🏻
