It really is a form of art. Here in Northern Australia, this concept is still fairly new and it’s difficult to find someone like yourself that fully understands the artistry and work that you put into your cars. Almost Magic. Really enjoy your vids:

ok funny story for you. i had no idea chrome was hard to wrap and bought 20m blue holographic green shift chrome. I tried to wrap my 350z in the cold outside without wind cover using a heat gun. within 0.2 seconds the first piece was ruined with stress marks hahahaha. i kept trying to do the fender for an hour but my technique was sooooo bad. i then tried the door and was equally bad. so, i thought, CK says the other thinner wraps can be easier, i bought some carbon and black gloss for the bonnet and roof, waiting for it to arrive. then i watch am HOUR long video from THE BEST WRAPPER in the world doing a roof. if it takes you an hour indoors it's basically gonna take me a year. like a full year of lifting, repositioning, hahahaha. i love this channel. definitely gave me a lot of confidence to try wrapping and learn sone good tips. i won't be a pro any time soon but the experience (whilst so bloody hard) makes me happy and one day i will manage the full car. thanks!! you are appreciated!

My girlfriend and I did the roof in metallic chameleon, took 3 hours, Hood took 2.5 hours but it’s a lot easier doing it with an extra set of hands, even if the extra set doesn’t know what exactly to do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Have to say I've binge watched a lot of your videos and they are extremely helpful. I have a 2013 veloster turbo rspec that I'm gonna look at wrapping after my wedding next year. You make it look so easy, can't wait to find out what a mess I'm gonna get myself into lol especially considering I've never done it before. Hopefully the fact I'm artistic will help me in my adventure. Just hope the wrap lasts and turn out good....who knows, maybe I'll make a second job out of it. Although I dont think I would have the patience for some of the more tedious jobs.

The beeping wasn't that bad, better than some of the annoying music I have heard some people put in their video's. Great job IMO. I have watched a lot of your video's, I am just not quite confident enough to do it yet, but I will do this someday. One worry is removing things like lights and trim, but my biggest worry is that the surface I'm applying to is going to have small dings, rock chips, scratches, etc... and I don't want to waste money on wrap that doesn't look good. I am going to watch some prep video's to get more tips and confidence. Thanks for sharing your talent with us, as for the negative comments or the haters, screw them. I would be laughing all the way to the bank. Let them do a better job if they think they can.

The marking on the backing that Christian is referring too is usually put on by the vinyl manufacturer, in this case Avery - Dennsison. It's put there a few ways. Avery runs the backing through a printer, probably somewhere around 160 f.p.m. Or, when ordering their backing from a paper mill, if that paper mill has printers, Avery could request that they print Avery's logo on the back of the backing. 99 % of the time it's for their own advertising, and it works. The more people see their name, the more name association there is between the vinyl product and Avery. It's an interesting process to watch. Here's something i found out yesterday. I went to a new vinyl store that just opened up. I asked what they had in the Avery line. I was shown samples. None of the samples had an Avery printing on the back. Why ? Because all he was doing was middle-manning the vinyl at a marked up price. Used to be a very common practice. So, even though i saw Avery vinyl, there was no Avery printing. No Avery printing, then I don't know the vinyl manufacturer. If it had Avery print on the back, once i got home, I Google Avery vinyl, and see a cheaper price. It's not a dishonest practice at all. If they sold it at the same price as Avery, then they don't make a dime selling you a roll. So, always buy from the source.
    My best,
    Scott
P.S. Christian, another gorgeous wrap job !

I have watched 8 different vids on this subject and there were 5 different methods. This tells me the majority of “ professional “ wrappers are winging it. I did my mkv gti w/ sunroof by myself with $50 of 3m vinyl wrap, a $45 wrap “ kit” of amazon ( which I returned after using so free!) and $15 cutting string. Took my 45 minutes. After Completed I took it by a shop to ask if it was a good wrap ( I said a different shop had done it and wondered if they ripped me off for the $500 they charged ). They guy said it looked great and that I didn’t get taken. So……………….🤔😎

Hi , Excellent work, very nice result! Unfortunately, as my English is bad, translation is not easy! can you tell me what Water do you use Please? On the other hand, for a black gloss roof, you will advise me Avery Dennison or 3M? it seems that the Avery is very easy to handle and to ask, but is it robust in time, it supports the aggressions of the sun, the salt air ... compared to the 3M? because I live in a tropical country with all that implies and supposes! Thank you very much for your help and advice! 😉👍🏽

You stated that you had to glass it out because the way it was wasn’t a good way for it to be squeegeed out, I would of liked to hear why it isn’t good. Also you said that you loved to work with this type of vinyl because it’s so thin and easy to work with, and because it is a thin vinyl that it comes with disadvantages, I would of also liked to know what some of those disadvantages are. Just curious because I just paid a local vinyl/ tint guy to wrap the hood & roof of my car and it low key looks like he used thin vinyl and I would like to know what my disadvantages are. Thanks! I only paid $360 for hood & roof
