I like your method of of building the truck in your head. I find it easier to handle each room individually on how much of a load is in each room to build my estimate. Then I go back thru pictures before the job and do like your talking playing tetris. Good content brother keep it up!
Awesome videos man. No BS about what you ate or what you like to talk at the DUMPs line smh, or annoying music. straight to the point and all the info that someone would actually need. And very transparent. I’m gonna be eagerly waiting for your new videos as they’re very informative. I bet you’ll have at least 1k subs by the end of this year. I went through the google reviews you’re getting and I can relate to them. I’m very responsive to the customers as well but I gotta learn a lot from someone like you on to price.
I appreciate your feedback brother! Transparency is what lacks in most "informational" videos. They beat around the bush. I'm trying to beat the bush! As I am making more of the "How To" videos, I am finding that you need to add music lol so don't be steered away by that! Worst comes to worst, fast forwards lol. @@770haulers-junkremoval9 It's good that you're honoring your quotes. How bad are you messing up the quotes? Making no money on the job or losing money?
Lug Away Junk Removal & Demolition I haven’t lost money on any jobs. It’s just that I started with a $200 a day profit goal and then it kept going up to $500 so now my goal is at least $500 per day, sometimes on big jobs I mess up the quote and after all day I come home with $300-400, that sucks.
Awesome content buddy. I’m sure you already went over this but what I’m trying to figure out is how do you know when to go to a dump or transfer station etc and what is the average fee in Mass? And most places you separate the stuff there? Tvs scrap metal refrigerators etc? Thanks in advance bud
What is up Steve!? I have been doing some research to get into Junk Removal in Southern NH and was wondering do you guys go to different Transfer Stations/Landfills depending on what town the home is you service? Thank you in advance!
man your videos are full of qulity information, thanks for taking the time out of our day to make these for us viewers, as junk removal/hauler myself i know how busy it can be. keep truckin brotha!
Thanks for the content. I just bid on a huge construction debris job today. I estimated 12-15 loads and told the customer 3-5k and he freaked out. Haha. He went on to say he had a bid of 800. I told him he should go with them then.
That's the right thing to do! Too many people get hung up.on on jobs like that If you provide an honest estimate and the customer tells you someone will do it for half, why bother caring about it? The guy doing it for half is making ZERO on that job. The only thing you really need to do is wait until you get back to your truck to laugh lol.
I always tell my customers final price is based on actual volume loaded and time spent. I have been doing it that way for years now and haven't had an issue doing it that way. John - JP's Junk Removal
@@SteveConroy1 some of the type of info I'm looking for is what type of advertisement different haulers use and what seems to be the most effective and cost-efficient
@@danahasson2892 This will depend on your area, but stay tuned. I have one in the works right now just haven't had time to finish it with it being the busy season and all.
Do you show up to big jobs pulling your trailer behind your truck to load both? Does that change the pricing since you'd be dumping two loads at a time?
I do not tow my trailer with the dump truck. If I did, then yes, if they filled up the dump truck I would charge them for that and if they filled any portion of the trailer I would charge them for that as well.
Thanks Dave! We do not get calls from movers to clean up but realtors always schedule us to come in right after them to pick up the unwanted items and sweep the place out.
What big. items are you talking about? Most stuff can be broken down, including couches but it would be in your best interest to find a helper for jobs that you know are going to have big stuff
@@SteveConroy1 appliances, big dressers, etc. In going to try and do as many jobs as I can by myself when possible. But it sounds like... that may not be wisest after reading your response.
hello, great video. you said schedule cleanouts for after work hours, but wouldnt that give competition a chance to come over sooner to give them a quote?
Who cares if the competition goes over before. or after you? The customers who call me understand that I am running a business and we are busy. If someone was to call and say, "hey I need a quote in 30 minutes" thats something you would have to do over the phone anyways. People understand that these business are busy and its very normal for quotes to be provided after a work day.
The purpose of a walk through is to get a visual gist of the junk you'll be dealing with. The same can be accomplished with pictures the prospective customer sends you, saving you gas money and time. Unless there's something I'm missing..
Ask anybody, pictures are so misleading its not even funny. Pictures will get you an idea of whats there until you're actually there and they forgot to mention the pile of bricks or concrete behind a mountain of bags. If you were to tell me you quoted and scheduled a full house cleanout based off of pictures I would bet it was twice or 3 times as much as you thought it was.
Most junk removal companies offer free estimates because your service area is manageable to get to before, after and during work. One of the biggest factors I focus on when quoting cleanouts is the exit strategy. Where is it all going out of, where can we park the truck.
A lot goes into it, thats why its best to be prepared before you dive in. I feel the best way to gain knowledge is by experience but you can help yourself out a lot by planning ahead and doing your research.
