    Hey Steve! Thank you so much for all of the videos that you've made. I've been watching these videos all night and it certainly seems like you give a lot of value in your videos without asking a bunch in return.
    I'm in the process of thinking about / feeling out the industry in my area. One thing that does concern me in my area is that the city will pick up any and all trash that you leave on the streets except for appliances and large furniture. I'm sure they're still plenty of people who don't want to do the labor of cleaning out their garage or basement or attic and putting it out on the street but I just don't know how much of that will actually translate into work for me. The other obstacle I'm facing is that I work a job 11 hours a day and I work at night and sleep during the day so I would only have about 4 hours in the afternoon to do the jump removal business to get going. I'd also be available on Saturdays and Sundays. That isn't a terrible obstacle for me, as a matter of fact I see it more as a challenge!
    well again thank you for your videos and I have subscribed to your channel look forward to watching more of your content as you put it out! David.

      I have that problem with a few cities around me. The towns/cities pick up anything for like $10 bucks which is why we do very little single item pick up in those areas. Nothing to worry about though, there is still business to be had. The short hours you have will make it. difficult to do larger jobs but not impossible!

    • @davidniebeling77
      @davidniebeling77 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SteveConroy1 yeah I figured the roughest part would be the hours that I have available. There's always some old folks that need a house cleaned out or a garage cleaned out or something along those lines. I just bought a trailer yesterday so I'm super stoked! One cool thing that we have going for us is you can all the way junk cars and take it to a recycling center and get 350 to 500 bucks a piece so that should help cushion the blow! Thanks for your response and again I'm loving all your videos. Have a great and profitable day! David.

    Spot on, I can finish most of your sentences in English! My rule for stuff I resell is 2 parts. 1. I have to be able to pick it up and carry it myself. 2. Leaving it on the truck will not cost me money on any jobs the rest of the day. As I was watching this a woman sent me a message on fb to meet tomorrow at my house to buy a $400 sewing machine. :)

    I'm coming at this from the direction opposite most junk haulers. Seems that most are from the blue collar/trades side with relatively little experience w/ direct customer service. I've spent most of my working life in customer service, so understanding that side of things comes easier. I have to watch vids on stuff like how to build up a utility trailer.

    1. Have you made 6 figures in junk removal? And if so, how long did it take to make that.

      Our transfer station accepts them in the scrap metal pile (we do not get paid to drop metal here). Anything with freon (refrigerators, A/C) can be placed in a specific location at. our transfer station and we get charged to put them there.

    • @SteveConroy1
      @SteveConroy1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We use the same one everyday. There is another one close to us but its a nightmare. Not only is the cost per ton higher but recycling "extra items" (mattresses, TVs, a/c, etc.) is very high as well. Not everyone is in a position where their transfer station or landfill is in the perfect location and I would assume people use multiple depending on what area they're in.
