Sure many felt she was a bit boring to play at times but I honestly see her more having the play style that she used to have, having a very protective stance in the middle of a battle. I think they could’ve just added another tank in the game to do what Orisa 2.0 currently does, which would’ve been pretty smart when you realize we do need more tanks in the game (and supports but that’s a different convo). I also still don’t know how much I like Doom as a tank

besides a little increase to particle effects, the visual quality is pretty much unchanged to me from the looks of it. I know this is a cartoony game like borderlands so I didn’t expect anything revolutionary but if I’m being real I’m not impressed at all.
They increased reflections like a shitty GTA 'realistic' (rainy streets) mod.
I think what we got now is just the half or even less than what's coming, the visuals are not final and i think most of the heroes gonna be reworked visually and abilitywise aswell.

There is only 1 game. Overwatch 1 will just be upgraded to 2 for free, you don’t need to pay if you own it. You will have to pay for the PVE campaign mode from what we know so far.
The biggest changes isn’t graphics, but how matches are played, and the reworks. So far.

Honestly, I think the changes to Orisa are incredibly interesting. She's more or less an entirely different character function wise, but I honestly think it's just as interesting and full of utility as the old one, just in different ways.
She's so aggressive now. It don't fit her character
The old one was always powerful and undestructive but... Boring, Orisa in Ow 1 was such a boring character and was so easy to play with it, but in Overwatch 2 that changes, she becomes more fun to play and even if is less powerful, still with that "armored" feel

I definitely get it more now. It really is more of an update than an actual sequel, so it’s good that it’s free. Kinda on par with the whole GTAV “expanded and enhanced” upgrade

Honestly, I have no idea what to be more afraid of with bastion...
The fact he could remain a sentry all he wanted in overwatch 1.... or in overwatch 2 he at least has a cooldown, and can only use for 5 seconds.... but can MOVE while he does o_o
Tbh i didn't like the new bastion, the fact that he can only use it for 5 seconds loses the whole porpoise of bastion

Eventhough there isnt much change just better particle effects and such. I have to say that sometimes i still start up ow1 and im always blown away how smooth everything runs and plays while not being to graphically demanding. Its still ahead compared to other games in that way

Yeah. And Overwatch 1 easily always had good enough graphics for me. It definitely gives you that cartoonish-vibe that the devs intended.
Yeah they developed it extremely well. It's optimised while having all sorts of animations and effects, that too with really good netcode

I miss Overwatch 1
so the differences ive noticed:
-reinhardt's fire strike and zarya's bubbles can now be used twice at a time
-reinhardt's shield health has been nerfed
-improved visual effects for some ultimates
-orisa now has infinite ammo in favor of a heat system
-orisa has gotten an entire ability and ultimate rework in favor of a more offensive playstyle
-winston appears to hit multiple targets at once instead of only one and also has gotten a new secondary fire
-doomfist's seismic slam can now move upward, probably as a way to mix the uppercut and original seismic slam into one ability
-doomfist's uppercut has been replaced into a blocking ability
-bastion has less rps in recon form
-bastion's reconfigure now mixes the original tank movement and UI with his sentry form's weapon instead of keeping him in one spot (the sentry weapon also has infinite ammo)
-bastion's self-repair has been replaced with a grenade
-bastion's ultimate is now an airstrike instead of a tank form, which has already been mashed into his reconfiguration ability
-cassidy's flashbang has been replaced with a sticky grenade
-junkrat's trap can still move bots??
-mei's primary fire freeze effect has been replaced with a slowing effect
-brigitte's shield bash stun effect has been removed and also deals more damage

Not sure how I feel about Bastion being able to move around now in sentry mode.
Brig getting slightly more nerfed again, no surprise there.
And Orisa in OW2 sounds way more angry and ready for a fight than in OW1.

brigs fine tho..a hard stun would be beyond broken since there's barely any shields in this game

And bastions turret mode is on a cooldown now so its pretty balanced. His normal fire is pretty strong too and more accurate even though its slower

I haven't played overwatch since 2017 so maybe there are some changes I'm not noticing, but I really don't understand why this has to be a whole separate game at all. So many other developers have had much bigger changes done to their games without doing that
honestly they really only made a new game for marketing purposes i think, the game was kinda dying so they needed an excuse to advertise, so they made ow2, its ow1 but with a shaders texture pack lmao

Personally, i prefer the overwatch 1 HUD graphics over overwatch 2
So after researching about this game, I can come up with this conclusion:
Overwatch 2 = Overwatch 1 + single player mode DLC
Pve could mean multiple players against CPU but alright.
Giving orisa a spear was a great idea from a conceptual angel. It fits her theme so well unifies her theme rather than with a bunch of mishmash kits
I mean what more can you do with overwatche's style of graphics, models, and particles, its more of a touch up to things than a revolutionary change of stuff, its nice, but you really can't do much with it to have that good old ow style- (Sounds on the other hand, hella dope)

For bastion in turret mode, allow repair but it doesn’t heal for as much, you risk less firepower for heals
I honestly wouldn't mind having the grenade in turret mode, as long as you get the healing stick in robot form. Trade damage for sustain
I think some of your graphics were down, like the first second I see that you’re missing the Rein charge shatter in the wall effect which I got when playing the game (OW2) but you only had for OW1… so very skeptical of this video now. Or it just auto sets some things based on Graphics cards, I play on a 3070 so I might have an advantage idk I don’t know if you put your specs in the desc and mobile doesn’t let me check without deleting my comment so imma just post this and check now. But yeah some graphics look more simplified for you than they did in my gameplay.

Overwatch 2 abilities and some bullets look way more like toys?? Idk how to explain it but they don’t look as magical. Orisas bullets for example or Zens new orbs and reload

Lore, characters and potential is so good on this game (strenght in Blizzard clearly) but something the lack or repetitive gameplay got them... I LOVE Overwatch so much, the game that made me fall in love with online, in competitive and even made very good Friends on it ! I can't wait to see what's next and Hope for the best ! Orisa's kit made more sense back in overwatch 1 because she's the DEFENDER of Numbani, not the crazy-ass ATTACKER of Numbani
So Mei now has Sym's primary fire fused with a turret. At first I thought this was a major nerf, but it might increase her overall dps.
Although, I hope her ult can still ACTUALLY freeze people.
Overall, it feels like an experimental patchnote change for a third of the roster + pvp. From a design standpoint, I see why it needs to be a standalone title, but I see the competitive croud (non-OWL) sticking with OW1
OW1 will be upgraded for free into OW2 with some benefits for those who played beforehand
-Mei’s DPS doubled, so she’s still pretty good in that regard.
-Blizzard does still freeze people.
-Almost all the heroes get changes, though only a third do get major reworks.
-Overwatch 2 isn’t really a standalone title. It’s just a big update, similar to something like Fortnite Chapter 2.
-This also means that you will not be able to stick with Overwatch 1 when 2 comes out, since it’ll just update OW1.

@@Kiwi11N A lot of the in game models are using assets from OW1 for the alpha and beta. During one of the dev interviews they mentioned that. I can't remember which video it was from. And I mean the game is a ways off from release so of course things will look better by launch.

You know that game is permanently closed. I was not around when it the first came out, but I feel bad for the players. I just wish that, all of the maps of the first game made it into the sequel. The Tomb & the moon base maps looked REALLY interesting.

for a person who haven’t play overwatch in a long time, personally i think this minor/major graphical and shader change is very nice for a game like overwatch where they have invest many time and money into heroes and custumization, and an overly new game would probably took a long time and much more dedication. I hope many multiplayer games could take on this chnage like apex, pubg, etc.
