    We need another monitor tier list, but with the monitors ranked strictly on how terrible their names are.

      @MrEL91N 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      the different naming's for monitors drives me crazy. some are worse than others but man I've been trying to pick out a new one and i have to have 20 tabs open cross referencing them all to figure out which one is what and why its better than the other.

    Picked up an Alienware AW3423DWF this holiday, in part due to your videos and recommendations over the year. I know it's not on this list because it released last year, but as we're at year's end, I wanted to say I appreciate the work you do here. A safe and Happy New Year to you.

      Hi how was it ? I got the G8 for sale. How is the Alienware performance and display ? How is it for productivity ?

    • @benefitthirteen
      @benefitthirteen 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@nicktan4530 This is my first OLED screen so the wow factor was quite the experience. Still playing around with settings a bit to convince myself I've maximized it's capability. Both in-game (HDR on) and everyday use (HDR off) work to a tee. I'd have no reservation in suggesting this monitor to others. That G8 (34" Odyssey OLED G8) was the other consideration when I knew I was going to buy a new monitor. Both seem to be at the top of the heap in Ultrawides, but at the end of the day it was price that helped in the final decision. At the time the Alienware was on sale for a few hundred dollars less, and I let my frugal nature win out. Of course the G8 went on sale just after the holiday which put it within about a hundred dollars of what I paid (the universe can be cruel that way), so I'm left wondering what I may have done at the time if the cost had been that close. But I wouldn't swap the Alienware out at this point as I'm incredibly satisfied with this monitor, as I imagine you are with the Samsung.

    I'm looking forward to seeing what LG unveils with their new ultrawide OLED lineup. I'll likely be buying that when it hits the market 👌 the curve is more aggressive than I'd usually like to get but since I have my C2 65" TV, I think I won't mind the curve for mostly KB/M games.

    Super excited about 2024 with the absolute onslaught of OLEDs coming out. If nothing else, pretty much every single OLED monitor released the last 2 years had one or more major problems at launch and this is the channel I trust to find those problems and point them out before I spend a ton of money on one.

    Great video- thank you! I feel very fortunate to have been able to purchase an LG 27GR95QE- what an amazing monitor. The one thing that kept me from purchasing the Asus was not only the price, but the quality control issues I've had with Asus products in the past- one motherboard that died after a year, and various laptop diplay issues I've experienced over the years. I love the brand, but when you're talking about an investment that significant, I just didn't want to roll the dice. It probably would have been fine, but I've never had any issues (fortunately) with any of the LG monitors (gaming or UltraFine) I've used over the years.

    It'd be useful if you put flat panels on the left and curved on the right so you could more easily see from a snaphot of the completed chart. I'm not interested in curved panels.
    I like you are now putting them in order as you rank them by tier which I don't think you did last year.
    I'd also love if you started including TV's (for use as monitors) as that's what I use. Currently a 40" Samsung which is still great but at 10 years old coming close to replacement.
    Not sure if a select number would be the way to go or a separate video altogether. Very useful round up of the years screens as usual and I'd imagine you influence an awful lot of purchases.

    picked up an open box armada 25 at micro center for $104us. until they sold out of them, the new-in-box units were $130-150. i imagine that kind of pricing would change the value proposition of this monitor and possibly it's place on this list. too bad it wasn't widely available at those prices.

    The AG276QZD has a very annoying burn in warranty however, including a pixel refresh that has to be left turned on after 4 hours otherwise it may void warranty. So unless you love seeing red text appear every 4 hours and a 10 min full pixel refresh warning I’d stay very clear from it. Otherwise it would be an amazing monitor for its price.

    Hi friend: I need a single 32-34" monitor primarily for office work. My budget is around $500 and I'm super open to Amazon Warehouse deals that are used-acceptable to get a deal. My current thought is the Gigabyte M32U. What would you recommend?

    Yeah, I want to know where AW3423DWF fits. Even if it wasn't released last year, it was last year that it received a solid firmware update, and last year that it received a solid price drop. So where does it fit?

    I purchased the lg 27” oled about a month ago. I’ve been in a rabbit hole with trying to get the colors to a point where I feel like it’s correct. I’ve been considering trying the asus 27” oled but that warranty is trash. I got the lg on sale too so waiting for the glossy lg 27” in 2024 is risky for me

    Nice roundup! By the way, been looking through the channel and noticed, that there were no Xiaomi monitors review (as far as I can tell). They have a rather solid entry with Xiaomi Gaming Monitor 1440p 27" @ 165 Hz at usually a lower price than similar competitors - from my subjective experience, though. Are these available in your region? Would you consider reviewing one?

    Best monitors in 2023 is the Pixio PX329 , its a 32 inch monitor at 1440p resolution. I purchased three of them on Black Friday for $280 each.
    In years to come I will be looking at 40-inch monitors. Pixio so far is serving me very good. Hopefully soon they release a 40 inch monitor that I like at 4k resolution.

    If less eye strain and viewing comfort was your most important metric, how would that change this tier list? Or would it remain the same? My LG 27GL850-B has been pretty rough when it comes to eye strain and thinking about replacing it. Would ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQMR be a contender?

    Do you guys experience VRR flicker on some of these OLEDs? I picked up the PG27AQDM from this channel's recommendation and it's a fantastic monitor, but the VRR flicker is starting to become a problem while gaming. I'm surprised it's hardly ever mentioned with OLED reviews.

    Very keen for 2024 OLED's. The new LG Display 1440 480hz 27" oled should be amazing. Be good to see what Asus do with it. Much higher peak brightness and a new sub pixel layout (still has white though) means better text clarity. Here's hoping for 350 nits 100% white in SDR 🤞
    Glad to see a 1440 panel on top ❤

    I know MUB concentrates almost exclusively on gaming monitors, but there are three 27" 2160p OLED monitors currently available that use a panel from the Japanese company JOLED that are interesting. First is the Philips 27E1N8900. It's currently $799 at B&H. The other two are the LG 27EQ850B, and the Asus PA27DCE-K, currently $1,800 and $2,000 on B&H. I would like to see a thorough review of at least the Philips, which seems too good to be true. The other two are too expensive to even consider.

    I recently finished refreshing my PC and I have an rtx4080 paired with a ryzen7 7700x. Now looking to upgrade from my my 1080p 170hz monitor.
    Trying to decide if I should go with a 1440p ~240hz or a 4k ~160hz monitor. Considering: MSI G274QPX, Asus XG27AQMR, Gigabyte M27Qx Gigabyte M27U. Kind of in that 350-499 USD range...
    I primarily play COD, so the high refresh rate is very appealing to me. But I do also enjoy playing immersive, graphically intense AAA single player games (CP2077, Starfield, Alan Wake2, etc.) So that's the use case for 4k. I probably spend 2/3 of my time playing COD and the remaining time playing single player games...

    I’ve been rocking a Xeneon Flex for gaming/watching movies for a couple days and god darn is it amazing. I can’t go back to 16:9 or a 34 inch 21:9😅. I’d love it if it were 5120x2160 but it’d require a very beefy card to drive it at high refresh rates. Would not use it for any sort of productivity work but for gaming/content consumption… S tier easily.
