Really enjoyed the video. The WRX driving experience is way better than the numbers suggest. Very free reving, eager steering and confidence inspiring chassis/grip. It’s my daily driver in Dallas. Only complaint is running premium fuel for the HP. It means about an extra $40 a month. If that’s a major concern, the car isn’t for you. Wait until you look up replacement tire cost…. It comes with max performance summer tires and will likely need to be replaced between 10k-15k miles. Either way, love my ride and usually average 25mpg mixed driving.
I have a 2023 WRX. I like it but first gear is way too short. Second too. Mine gets 18 miles to the gallon with moderate driving. Mid range power is the car’s strongest point.
This car's power numbers are definitely underrated from the factory. They are dynoing at 250-260 whp.

This car would be an even better purchase if it ran on Regular gas. If Hyunday can get 270 hp on their Kona/Veloster/Elantra N using Regular, Subaru should also be able to do it.

@@omarnanana Theres no lack of assumption the base trim isnt selling as well as the higher trims with creature comforts. Congrats you bought one but the sales #'s dont lie. And the two outdated screens looks terrible.
@@dishonestpanda-1106 Terrible to a dishonest panda.... which dosnt bring much credibility. I personallly prefer it over the iphone knock off screen. That and me wanting no sunroof was the reason for the choice. used that 5k and now its pushing 350hp

In 2020... a brand new base wrx was 26k.... a brand new base STI was 36k.... then covid happend.... then joe happened and now a wrx is almost 40k?? 🤣 I would NEVER pay STI price for a base wrx lol.

Nothing with the president you muppet. This is happened around the world. Btw. Base price of a wrx 27k before destination in 2020 It was around 25k in 2010. Now it’s 32k, it was 29-30k but they added more standard features. See how inflation works? And equipment pricing happens Now use your brain and ask your price of cars in 2000…….
I got my brand new base wrx in canada for 28k USD. Has heated seats, auto dimming mirrors, all the random little bells and whistles

This isnt a sport car, its a compact sedan. Though, subaru would love for you to believe this is a sport car.
The performance driving characteristics haven't been prioritized here. They prioritize emissions, profit, and point a to point b driving.

They have to do that in order to meet compliances/regulations in order to sell. Its not their fault, its the government paranoia about fossil fuels.
Mine drives like a sports car in the twisties. And I've had Porsches in the past.
