  • Kendall Gill entered the NBA with the upstart Charlotte Hornets after exceeding expectations in his 4 years spent on the University of Illinois Fighting Illini. He was hoped to once again exceed expectations, but his career just wouldn't pan out the way most thought it would. He showed his ability on both sides of the ball during his career, averaging over 20 points per game twice and leading the league in steals once. However, his time spent with the Charlotte Hornets and Seattle Supersonics were littered with controversy and drama, and it seemed throughout his career, no one wanted to commit to him as their franchise player. Which is understandable as he lacked a 3 point shot in a league that was evolving and his character was in question for the first half of his career. Nonetheless, Gill had a more than respectable 15 years in the league where he could have arguably been deserving of an all star game or two, but his contributions are lost in a period that saw some of the best shooting guards of all time lace em up.
