      Man, you're absolutely correct. Shooting three-point shots all day is boring. What else can a player do if the opposite team shuts that lane off? If you don't have other ways of scoring or help your team defensively, what good are you? It's like a player that only scores on a slam dunk most of the time. What if the knees give out or the lane is shut off? Maybe that's why a lot of recent slam dunk champs, except a few, don't have great NBA careers.

    Mashburn's first year was rough. That was the year Quinn Buckner was the Mavs coach. Quinn Buckner was the leader of the undefeated Indiana team and got along with Bobby Knight better than any other player he coached, and he tried to coach the Mavs like Bobby Knight would. Mashburn even publicly complained about him.

    In this era, guys like J Mash would eat. In his prime he’s was 20+ 5 & 5.
    Imagine today what he could do.
    The wing depth in the late 90’s to early 00’s was unprecedented thats why these videos are so damn important.
    For ex., Cuttino Mobley, Brandon Roy, Jason Richardson, Rudy Gay, Kevin Martin, Eric Gordon, Bonzi Wells, Jerry Stackhouse, Jason Terry, Michael Redd, Danny Granger, Ben Gordon, etc etc
    These were guys who regularly gave you 20+ seasons throughout the 00’s and were rarely if EVER all stars

    • @Blaxican3624
      @Blaxican3624 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don’t think he would eat like that because of the defense. A lot of help defense and zone. It’s made for players who could move without the ball or consistently hit 3s. Also, efficiency is important. Mash-man was not efficient and took a lot of shots. He’d average 20 but nothing crazy. His game ain’t fit for todays game.
