  • Based In Charleston, South Carolina we enjoy our boats for fishing and family year round. Over a year ago we hatched the plan to get an older offshore boat so that we could upfit and produce video of the projects. We are mechanical engineers, not marine mechanics, so this content is more representative of how a general boat owner will approach these projects vs the professional mechanic. Its our fist time doing most of this so you should take this vlog series as an example rather than how we think you should do it. Learn with us from our mistakes!
The boat was located just north of Wilmington NC, and the trailer did not have brakes so we decided it was not safe to trailer it back to Charleston on it. Matt and John got a two day run down the intercoastal while Leon drove the unloaded trailer back to Charleston.
See you in the next update!

This project should be a lot of fun and I can’t wait to see the great videos that you guys put together as you work through the issues on the boat and the trailer.

Awesome project boat! Could you tell us more about the boat, length, beam, dead rise, full tank size, etc. I’ll be following this for sure!
