Thought it was just me before I read the comments. What an easy ramp, with walkways close in on each side. OMG, what a circus. I could just "feel" the plastic hull flexing as it was forced up onto those (ridiculous) bunks. With a boat that heavy you must float it onto bunks, not drag it like an 18' runabout.
Wow... I cringed through most of this video. It's like somebody got a life insurance or lottery payout and decided to buy a beautiful boat, trailer, and truck and had no idea what to do with them. I could have cried when I heard the out drive scrape against the concrete. What a waste. For everyone reading this, back the trailer into the water as far as you can to get the bunks wet, even if you pull back out some before loading. Some boat ramps are bad and have a drop off where the concrete ends and the sand gets blown away from power loading. The boat will slide onto the trailer so much easier when wet. A power winch is nice to have but there's no reason to put undue stress on it as well as the eye on the boat itself. One positive aspect of this video is that it teaches you exactly what not to do. I'm considering buying a 240 or 260 DA and learned a lot watching this.
If it is low tide the drop off may not let him put the trailer further into the water. I’m not saying this is what happened but it could explain why he did not sink the trailer further down the ramp.
saftey chain BEFORE you pull out, one day your winch rope will snap or the gears will strip and your boat will be on the ramp. And yeah, stay away from the winch rope, those things will do serious damge if they snap.
I was getting kinda pissed off at these previous comments but then I actually watched part of the video and holy crap you should probably put the trailer in the water before you put the boat on it.
your so careful loading the boat on the trailer but you did not raise the outdrive. Since you have a boat guide the boat will line up on the bunks once you pull the trailer out. Would be just as easier to put the trailer in the water as far as it can go and drive the boat on the trailer with outdrive slightly raise while a second person hooks up on the bow and pull out once outdrive is fully raised.
im glad the comments were what i expected. the only thing they did right was put the trailer down the ramp first not the truck but based on what i saw it may have tried that first?. Darwins on thier ass dont worry guys.
The fact that they could back up further while it was halfway out of the water says that they started in the wrong place in the first place. And where they are standing they could be killed if that cable that's go. Having it that far out of the water is creating far too much tension on the cable the winch and the trailer. And the amount of time taken to get that boat out they bound to get yelled at at most boat ramps I know of......
ahhh Jesus, I cant watch it passed the 3:00 mark, I can see by the comments and just by how they are trying to load this, that they have no clue what the fuck they are doing......
The old guy must not have very much boating experience. Why try to load the boat with the trailer pretty much out of the water. The point of the big guide post so so you can drive the boat not winch it. Then driving up the boat ramp with the lower unit down is a good way to waste a lot of money when you damage the unit or the prop.
this is the dumbest shit i ever seen i was waiting for the eye to come right out ... or cable to break and take off someones head... then pulled out of water without trailering the outdrive .... holy crap exactly great video of what not to do ....
This is the most moronic example I have ever witnessed of someone trying to load a boat on a trailer--and I live 5 minutes away from Black Point Marina in Miami.
I know this video was done 8 yrs ago however why would you post a video that shows just how incompetent some people are when it comes to boating. Come on leaving the drive down and also not using a fending pole to actually hang on to the stern of the boat, and only backing a bunk trailer down part way. Okay so I get it if this was your first time but it shows just how stupid some people are by broadcasting it for the world to see,
No safety chain before pulling up, our drive is all the way down and hits, bunks dry, pulls the boat up and somehow doesn’t hit the V on the trailer. Trailer is too shallow for 7/8 of the video and then goes in and dunks it too far to where the boat can completely float, and if the trailer is not level, the boat will end up crooked. You do not winch and go in reverse. And just the way this guys attitude is makes me want to vomit let alone his ignorance.
Wow. Ya'll must be super lazy. I can hand crank my 34 pc up the last 8 feet with even getting winded. Also, if you have that much trouble centering the vessel on the trailer that everyone has to disembark to walk it up, spend 200 bucks to put rails on the trailer. Don't know why people don't use rails anymore; Makes loading super easy, even in high wind.
It doesnt run or what? Why the hell wouldnt you drive it on the trailer? Duh! Oh I know. Cause the trailer has to be in the water in order to drive it on. Jeez.
excellent TRAINING video of what not to do.
I cant believe it actually pulled it on the trailer with so little in the water. Its going to hurt them one day when that cable pops.
came for the comments, they did not disappoint
OH lord! Tilting the driveunit UP would be a good idea😂
I can understand being nervous and inexperienced, but there was no common sense in this video. Glad no one was hurt or worse. Very lucky.
I’m a beginner when it comes to boating but I at least know the trailer needs to be in the water before you try loading the boat
No you don’t need to put the trailer under water
Holy crap!! You guys are going to get somebody hurt! Besides hurting the boat, trailer, drive, and those stainless props!!!
WOW.... Why do people post themselves looking so damn foolish.
Outdrive actually scraped the ground on the way up. You could hear it. Also not smart to have your face right next to that cable under heavy tension.
Twice
remind him to replace the Prop when he gets home....brutal!!

Wow I’m surprised it actually worked. Not surprised they didn’t raise the prop and it scraped the asphalt…
there's the get it done way and then there's dads way. 10x harder 10x longer. I fell your pain red shirt guy.
If it is low tide the drop off may not let him put the trailer further into the water. I’m not saying this is what happened but it could explain why he did not sink the trailer further down the ramp.
You boys needs to try this on a windy bay like we do here, you’d never get the boat out……😅
It would be my luck to be stuck waiting for this guy 🙄🤣🤣🤣 ridiculous
Ok son lets get out of here before the owner comes :-)
DRAAAAAAG THAT SKEG....LOLLOLOL
The comments below have it covered.
your tires always need to be at the edge of the water if not in the water when you load or launch a boat. damn son.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂You can not 3 days to get it out of the water.
saftey chain BEFORE you pull out, one day your winch rope will snap or the gears will strip and your boat will be on the ramp.

Wow I'm glad no one got hurt

People are soo jealous and Mean..you guys know sooo much but can afford a big beautiful boat like this..
All that talking down on the guy he Mr. Smart forgot to raise the drive lol
Rip to the engine boat
They walk among us!!

Never pull out without safety chains on !!

No comment, enough has already been said
Bloke at the start is useless.
Watching its arse drift away.
Y’all made that look extremely hard 😂
Drive it right up to the trailer bow wheel.
Something tells me they have never seen a winch cable snap. They would both be cut in half 🧐

It has a moter ,
Just drive it on,
Put the trailer in the water at least 10-14'
Back up the trailer and stay out of line with the cable...gezzz
How much does that but way and what sizes that truck?
There was lots that was concerning in this.......
Is this some kind of joke or something?
Exactly what not to do.
U.S. Navy Sailor speaking, what the fuck dude do you have any idea how bad that is for the hull and the prop and the frame of the boat? Really man?
wow they let this guy buy a boat
Wow !
Is that skiidoo trailer or where are all rollers 🙄
Why are most boat owners tools

why not just drive the boat on the trailer ...no wind
this is the dumbest shit i ever seen i was waiting for the eye to come right out ... or cable to break and take off someones head... then pulled out of water without trailering the outdrive .... holy crap exactly great video of what not to do ....
guy operating which is why outta place. it is overloaded and if snaps hes in 2 pieces
Negative, that trailer is way far ahead from the water.
This is the most moronic example I have ever witnessed of someone trying to load a boat on a trailer--and I live 5 minutes away from Black Point Marina in Miami.
Money can't buy brains...
OMG... Could anyone imagine if this wannabe boater was ahead of you at the ramp?!
Relax and help...
@@wallaceb9120, not getting hurt due to their inexperience and stupidity nor blamed for property damage.
Shame you ground off your skeg at the end of the video, because the stern drive was down.
First time I guess....................
😫😂
Haha. What. The. Fuck.
Poor boat .sink the trailer goes alot easier
seriously?
that was painful to watch!
That is probably the worst display I have ever seen of loading a boat
You could have done that easier without the nasty attitude...
