- I first failed at programming my third key. I wanted to do the easy method, but it turns out that it was more difficult than using ForScan.
I was also able to clear the Mykey feature which I previously disabled. Now I have a third key that completely works.
In order to program the buttons, you will need to do the 8-time cycling method. That is what worked for me to program the FOB.

After looking and looking for vids to help me with this procedure on Forscan - you helped me and it worked! Thanks for sharing the video
Glad it helped!
Cycling is only for the remote part. When you program a new key to a Ford, the new key becomes the master key enabling you to clear any existing My Keys.
The cycling method did nothing for me. Did not let me clear anything.
If you don't mind me asking what hardware store you went to to get the key cut
Thanks for watching. I went to Johnny's True Value
You can also use ACE hardware store if its one in your area
@@fredjr26went to ace hardware they said they won’t cut keys that I bought they’ll only cut and program their own keys which costs $213 .
@@geealmulla wow that’s crazy…. That’s where I went to get mine cut and they only charged a few dollars
@@fredjr26 ya I went to 3 different ace hardware stores and they all said the same unfortunately . I’m in Michigan btw. It’s still a lot cheaper than a dealership tho.
Does the remote lock/unlock the doors?
Yes it does. Works just like a factory key. Saved myself a lot of money.
Had you at that moment only 1 key in your truck? I want to make sure that this process works if I have only 1 key.
I'm not understanding your comment or question.
@@apexofrandomvidzI’m in the same situation, I believe he’s asking if you only have one working key (in my case I have one key that locks/unlocks/starts the vehicle and the other original key fell apart and no longer has the chip inside so I only have one key that works at all) if you can program it using this same process
I followed these steps for my 2011 escape . Programmed 2 new keys . They worked to start the car but none of the buttons work on the new keys. What did I do wrong ?
The buttons are programmed separately. Turn the ignition on and off 8 or so times till the door locks cycle, press a button on the new keyfob and your old one as well one after the other. The doorlocks will cycle again to confirm each remote. Once finished turn ignition off and that will end pairing mode
Were you able to get your keys programmed?
@@madness1247 I tried to but it didn’t work . Also after programming the new keys it somehow disabled my aftermarket remote start. The new keys now only start the car . I don’t mind their buttons not working but how do I get my remote start to work again ?
@@apexofrandomvidzthe keys programmed to only start the car none of their buttons work and it somehow disabled my remote start .
@@geealmulla buttons should be program separately. I'm not a professional by any means but in some vehicles there's a responder that programs the key. Some are in the cup holder and like other programming, you would have to conduct a series of steps. My 2014 is only a key to start.
i tried , but cant find IPC in forscan , help
Are you trying to disable Mykey or program a new key
What year is your vehicle?
This is a 2014
i have 1 key , mykey need to remove.
If you are trying to re program a new key, you don't need the IPC. Just go to the wrench icon on Forscan
