I have an Ender 3 S1 pro (runs Klipper and Orca sliced files) I also own a P1S. After few months I come to this conclusion. Bambu Labs printers are for designers and engineers who wanna just print things with little fuss. Most other printers like SV0X's and Enders ect...are for 3D printer enthusiasts who wanna fine tune on the 3d print side more than just the CAD designer side. Bambu labs work perfect out the box but it's firmware leaves little room for on the fly adjustments and tuning. I have more fun using My S1 pro...but my bambu labs is faster and slightly more accurate. Klipper is King!
This is what I expected with the Infimech, was pretty surprised that it printed comparable to the X1C out the box. The only setting I've adjusted is the Z offset and that was due to Polycarbonate sticking to well to bed kinda forced me to. Don't get me wrong the Z offset was far from perfect like the X1C out the box. But that's it, otherwise the quality has been pretty similar on both and the Infimech has been faster and quieter which is crazy, I hope this trend stays this way.
I have several 3D Printers and service some at work. Bambu Lab X1C Combo are for Printing, mine got over 860 hours in just 6 Month, 500 in the first two. I went through 2 Hotend/nozzles and had one proper Maintenance Cleaning at 500 hours. At this Point my Ender 3's were already broken down with bed issues, all repairable but after 300 hours i was repairing as much as printing. My 2 Prusa i3 clones with Linear Bearings had a 500 hour rebuild and one shot his Arduino Mega 2560, my Kit Core XY with an 400x400x400mm print Volume had a proper refit of new bed and so on after 300 hours, new Parts and Upgrades comming out of the Bambu Lab X1C. I just had my CoreXY reingaged, it is a very good printing maschine but after 6 Month not using it, got i forget it. One point here for the Bambu Lab: You don't need to calibrate the Flow, only once per Spool. The AMS is such a nice Option to feed Filament. And never forget the Orcaslicer is out there. ATM i am rebuilding a total busted Ender 3 into a Voron Switchblade. Atm all my Printer except the one Ender 3 are working, but i love the highspeed Bambu, 4 Spools in it and ready for rock and roll.
@@Elkarlo77 Yeah, I would say the Infimech TX, Qidi Q1 Pro and the FlashForge 5m, are leagues better and more reliable than an ender 3. Printers have came along way!
@@Lost3DPrints The thing is that an Ender 3 is more unreliable then the Printers before him, thanks to some mechanical choices they did on the V1 and V2 Modells, the V3 remedies them. Personally i don't have experience with a Flashforge 5M but with Flashforge 4 Pro's at Work, let's say i am not impressed. But i maybe biased. I studied (unsucessfull) Computerscience into the direction robotic and now work as a Sysadmin at a Highschool in the German School system, which is specialised for Technical Engineers. As i am not directly involved with the 3D Printing there, I am only called when the Flashforge 4 Pro again have Problems which the Technician Teachers can't fix, as i have more experience, thanks to my DIY Printers. What me impresses on the X1C with AMS is the filament feeding, i only had Problems when i feeded old PLA, and even then it was relativly easy to fix.
My biggest issue with the Infimech XT is the Nozzle. Only Stainless Steel 0.4mm properitary Nozzle. Price is okey, but ie Bambu has an 0.2/0.4/0.6/0.8mm in hardened Steel and Stainless. The 40mm³/s are not usable with an 0.4mm Nozzle, you need an 0.6mm for it. And there is the Question of the Bondtech CHT Patent, a Vulcano Nozzle without CHT is normaly at 30mm³/s only with CHT or something like it 40mm³/s is possible. And there comes the "Printspeed" of the Printer. One of the best Nozzles the E3D Revo highflow reaches 23.5mm³/s with a 0.4 which results at 260mm/s with 0.2mm Layer high. Or 520mm/s with a 0.1 mm Layer high. 600mm/s printspeed you only need with an 0.2mm Nozzle. So unless the Infimech XT gets a 3rd Party Nozzle or more Infimech Nozzles the Speeds at 0.4 is the maximum a 0.4mm Nozzle can achieve and thats why the Vulcano Bambu Lab 0.4 Nozzle has virtualy the same speed as the Infimech XT nozzle. (got the E3D highflow in my Bambu).
Opting for a Vulcano Nozzle Hotend or a Revo Hotend would be the far better Option for the users. Bambu Lab pulled the properitary Nozzle Off because they delivered the relevant size steps for a fair prize and cooperated with E3D on a Highflow variant.
Same goes for the Qidi Q1 Pro which delibratly made their Nozzles 1,9mm Shorter then a Vulcano, you can buy shortened Vulcano's on Aliexpress. But this was literally made so they could sell a 50cent Nozzle for 30 Bucks.
A Bambu Lab Nozzle with Heatbreak and Heatsink costs 14 Bucks. And even hardened Hotend needs to be change at this Speeds around 400 Hours. So the 19 Bucks for the XT 0.4 Nozzle is okey but only 0.4 avaible.
@@Elkarlo77 The Infimech uses a stand volcano style hot end. Replacing the hot end in the X1C is a pain in the ass, making most people buy the whole hot-end assembly for almost $40. Even the Q1 Pro has readily available nozzles on amazon, it uses the same nozzle as the x series.
I ordered an InfiMech and it arrived with the glass door broken. Glass was everywhere. So I emailed support and they asked me if I would check and see if it printed and they would send me new glass.
I didn't want to even take it out of the box because glass was everywhere. I expected a hassle from that point on but what a surprise when the support said they understand then that day they refunded my payment and sent a UPS pick up for the broken machine.
I ordered another one. I think once they get further into the US market the price will go up.
I am told that they are working on better packaging.
I am very happy with their response.
Great Video about this 3D printer. What’s your overall setting? You mentioned Klipper, but anything else or just default and start out of the box? Do you use their Fillament or your own?

As a maker, I need reliable quality out of the box; a business does not have time to tinker. Your assessment is pretty right on. I am willing the pay the extra money for a well-tuned machine that just works, because it is making money in the long run. On the other hand, I would be like a 'duck out of water' in your shoes.

What kind of nozzle does it use? I was told it uses a standard Volcano. Is that true?
correct.. don't try and change it while hotend is in machine, that heat break is paper thin.... i snapped my hotend clean off.

It's great to see other printers catching up.
That said the speed test is suspect as the part is so small. Compare times for a 6x6x6 part and then compare. We all know the calibration takes a few.
The concern with the Infomax will be reliability, customer service and spare parts.
My most recent video is of a part that takes about 10hrs to print, the Infimech still prints about 20-30mins faster, I’ve now printed that same print 4 times on the Infimech and twice on the bambu labs and the Infimech wins everything. Quality is undistinguishable between the 2. As far as long term reliability goes the X1C hasn’t been flawless but I have more faith in being able to fix the Infimech than the X1C. The way the X1C is constructed makes it a nightmare to repair, thankfully the part thats gave me the most trouble is the AMS which is pretty easy to take apart.
@@Lost3DPrints There are no spare parts in stock at Infimech today. What happens when the nozzle bends? How long will you have to wait for the part to come in stock?
Then there is the 3 and 6 month warranties on the main parts?
Look the price is great BUT not having spare parts in stock or a "cheap" warranty might end up costing more. For $299 what is the life expectancy?
Bambu has 1000's of printers with 3000 hours plus hours proving their reliability. Parts are available and though slow the warranty repairs happen.
So anointing the TX as a suitable successor is likely a bit premature.
@@russstephanson6987it's a 300$ printer, of course you loose some of the creature comforts, but in return this takes standard nozzles and uses klipper which is arguably better than bambu's implementation, also

I think some people took the title too serious this was to draw people to the video who would not have watched otherwise. Showing how close $300 printers have come. The Qidi Q1 Pro and the Flash Forge 5m/5mpro are other examples of printers that are nipping at Bambu labs heels for a fraction of the cost. If multi color printing is your main focus the Bambu Labs printers are your best bet for sure. Otherwise, there are plenty of other good options.

interesting! thats pretty sweet! i have considered upgrading one of my 2 ender 5 plus to core xy because the ender 5 plus is soooooo slow. but id almost get one of these so i dont have to do it to the ender 5 plus im pretty well impressed!

Try a Sonic Pad on the Ender 5 Plus. CoreXY is overrated. The Bambu A1 seems as fast as the P1P.

the 2 prints i got off before breaking the hotend were very good, although it took the machine 3 goes to level bed after engraving the build plate.

How did you break the hotend and smash the nozzle into the bed?
The Ams/multicolor is the biggest feature of the bamboo for me. It's cheap but multicolor is a must for me
I seen a livestream of the unboxing. No calibration, printed straight out of box and it was stringing with pla on a benchy and it took long. I’m not sure tho this one is different

That is really really cool, disappointing that shipping is adding an additional $100 now. Hopefully at some point they'll be able to start shipping from within the US and can help bring down the cost a bit

I was just going ti buy a x1 for my first printer before seeing this. Would you recommend this over the x1 for a first printer? Looking to print TPU
Honestly I don’t have any experience printing TPU on it yet, but if I had to give you a recommendation on a first printer it would be either the Flashforge 5m or the Bambu labs a1 mini. I believe the X1 is due for an update/refresh. From what I’ve heard the a1 mini and the 5m print TPU very well. Keep in mind you can’t print TPU in a x1 AMS. This printers is amazing but as a first printer I would pick something safer like the 2 mentioned above. If the smaller build volume of 180mm x 180mm isn’t a problem I would pick up the a1 mini at $250, if you want slightly larger pick up the 5m or the Qidi Q1 Pro

Flying Bear has been around for years and have been making corexy printers as far as I remember. They however seem to have the same disease many Chinese companies (other than Bambu) have: they introduce new variations of theirs printers every 6 months and even if the name doesn't change, the components used might. Support? Well, you're a hobby 3d printer, so fix it yourself. The fact that Bambu hasn't changed much to the X1 is a benefit in my eyes: they support their product for years and when launching a product also intend to support it for years. Many other printers may require you to replace extruder or hotend completely after a few years because parts for the original are nowhere to be found. Ex. I wonder how long the K1 nozzles will be available now the K1C is out and who knows what the K2 Plus will use ... And I haven't seen any indication that Flying Bear will be better at long term support. That said: why compare this to the X1C? I have a P1S and have not been missing any of the X1C extras.

I just got the Creality Ender 3 V3. I love it but really wanted an enclosed system. This would be great, but I want to be sure it comes with fans, bells and whistles to get the best prints. I'm really not wanting to be a guinea pig, so I may wait, but I sure how this trend of lower prices and better printers keeps trending.
Definitely understand not wanting to be the guinea pig, with that being said by the time a year comes around the next best thing will already be out. So its pretty difficult to avoid potential issue. When I bought my X1C right at launch no one knew how they would turn out. Even my X1C has had a few issues in 300hrs of use including having to re-tighten belts, and I've had filament break off in the AMS twice causing me to have to disassemble the AMS otherwise the printer wouldn't work at all not even let me switch to a different slot in the AMS. They all have their issues, my worry with the Bambu is being able to repair it outside of warranty and it looks like a nightmare to replace pretty much anything.
@@Lost3DPrints 425hrs on my P1P and so far replaced: TH board, AP board, 2 nozzles, Extruder fan, 2 thermisters and all 3 Toolhead cables......Anyone doubting me hit me up i will take pics of all the parts and the tickets i TRIED to get Bambu to help me with but they ghosted me....All those replacement parts i had to pay for. The printer was purchased Feb 11th 2024
@@anthonylong5870 This can happen with anything sad to hear Bambu Labs didn’t take care of it, would have expected better. No doubt all 3D printers will have issues. They have a lot going on bunch of moving parts and electrical.
Would love to see a side by side printer comparison using ABS/ASA and TPU. A bigger test part would be good too.

The bambu labs X1C was also my very first step into 3d printing. Coming in with absolutely ZERO experience in anything 3d, and ZERO experience with slicer apps. Actually this is my first computer iv had since 2001. So to say I'm a 3d printing newbi is putting it mildly. BUT the x1c has surpassed my expectations of a 2d printer can and can't do. I am a bambu fan boy now BUT only because iv never owned or used any other printer or slicer on the market.
Very safe printer to start on.

@@AndrewAHayes 100% a buddy of mine had an old bed slinger a few years ago, and the process didn’t seem to fun so wasn’t for me yet, the Bambu labs was also my first print. I’d recommend Bambu labs as a first printer over anything as far as the safest option, especially the A1 Mini!
Never was interested in them till I had kids they talked me into 1, so I did some research and found this one to be an excellent starter machine. Actually the p1p was recommended to me but I like the buy once cry once moto.
You're a lucky boy Jeremy. My first (3 months ago) was/is a Sovol 07+. I now know how to strip a print head down in no time flat, having done it so often. I'm looking at a BL A1 now.

The A1 is an amazing printer, you’ll love it. You can always buy another printer for engineering grade filament down the road.

$299 for the printer but $199 for the postage to Australia. I can buy a QIDI X-Smart delivered for $200 right now or an Anycubic K3 combo with multimaterial unit for $400 delivered. Competition is heating up.

Infimech it's new/western brand name for already known Flying Bear. it's a marketing decision based on research made by the company that owns Flying Bear. Printers like Ghost 6 as well as Reborn 2 are quite popular in Russian speaking countries. Probably English-speaking consumers these names do not convince ( flying bear ghost 6 sounds indeed not very serious for a 3d printer). I personally own Ghost 6(marlin), and after few small modifications it's amazing printer. I was considering upgrading it to klipper, but then FB introduced new printer S1 (on Russian community forum) and somebody posted also a link to Infimech TX ( Infimech TX and Flying Bear S1 are the same printers).
After this boring nerd story i will say this : I have Ghost 6 over a year now, after seeing video on 3DprintSOS chanel Im leaving my G6 as it is and i was considering my purchase between SV08 and TX. After this video and Nero3D about Sovol im not going to buy sovol. I just ordered TX , 220X220X250 it's enough print volume to me and costs half the price of SV08 witch cost third the price of Voron 2.4 (check Nero3D video to see why) My last argument is this, a year ago i paid 330 dollars for ghost 6, than spend another 50-80 dollars for noctua fans etc. 299 plus shipping it's absolute max im willing to spend on a printer for hobby use. 599 or 1500 it's bonkers, where next Year another generation of printers will outperform current ones.

All Bambu lab printers have tax and shipping. Even the X1E is $2499 + Tax and possible shipping depending on where you get it from.
The only thing stopping me from getting these other core xy printers like this one and the k1 series is the fact that bambu have the ams. However, i am curious how creality's version of the ams and the k2 will be.
I have had 3 bambu with ams. not all it's cracked up to be. the printer itself is amazing. the ams lacks something to be desired. It's slow and eats up a lot of filaments. Not to mention it works about 3/4 of the time.
@@jayinus1 I know that may be true but I still don't have a choice if I want to print multi coloured prints and we still don't know the price of crealitys k2 and their version of ams
Several companies bringing out multicolor. Bambu no longer has that exclusive. Honestly I see Bambu as a 1 trick Pony now
In a year and a half, I've printed multi filament 1 single time. Yet I've had filament break of in the AMS causing the printer to refuse to print till I dissembled the AMS. Won't even let you just switch to another slot and continue printing.
@@Lost3DPrints Same here. Never have use for multicolor prints with the AMS because of the massive waste and huge print time increase. And mine jams all the time qhen i use it for PETG/PLA prints.
Man you said a bunch of stuff at the start of the video that you would have to add separately and all I could think to myself is I bought a bambu so I wouldn't have to do any of that separate stuff. Funny enough the x1c was my first printer too 🤣

Bambu Lab kicked the whole 3d printing in the rear end. It seemed to be stagnating on the bed slingers. So competition is good for us consumers.
100% Bambu labs changed the game, and now other companies are just catching up. No one quiet has the Apple type fit and finish of a Bambu labs but performance wise and ease of use other printers have caught up. A few open source klipper based AMSs are coming out this year so I’m happy to see this. Hopefully it will push bambu labs to add something else to
Change the game, maybe a Voron style 350x350 would be crazy. Only other thing I’ve seen coming out that will change the game is the FLsun S1
I was looking at one of these but they started charging $90 for shipping, and then adding the camera and aux fan is pushing it to $420. I'd rather have the Qidi Q1 Pro for $49 more IMHO. Totally would buy it it was $300-$350 but not now.

@@Lost3DPrintsYou will absolutely love it. I switched from P1S' to these and wouldn't go back now. They have been awesome. Only kinda con is the odd build sheet size so sorta limited on surfaces. I'm running a few sheets from the Ankermake since they have the same size plate.

@@tjlqk3 Awesome, glad to hear they are doing well, might be one of the most capable printers on the market for its price, under $500 with 350c hotend and a heated chamber. Seems it’s a very simple setup like this Infimech. Sad to say I also have a SV08 that doesn’t seem like it’s gonna offer the same simplicity of the Infimech and Q1 Pro, but I guess one project printer isn’t to bad.
It seems good for the price point but far from meeting the use ability of the Bambu. Id say it's a great printer for a tinkerer who is on a budget and knows what they are doing.
Aside from adjusting the Z offset 2 clicks, I haven't done much tinkering, but it definitely will allow it. It's been just as usable as my X1C out the box so far.
@@Lost3DPrints I'm glad you're having a good experience. My experience with creality hasn't been great. It seems the issue for me and im sure many others is that creality machines have no issue making great prints if you are experienced and can tune things in. what i like about the bambu is the default settings work well and if i press print a part comes out. With my creality machines id have leveling issues, warping issues, profile issues and just didnt have time to figure it all out. i spent 90% of my time jacking with the machine and most prints were not acceptable in outcome. dont get me wrong i love jacking with things sometimes but i just dont have time. i have a box of voron parts that have been sitting in a box for 2 years.

I mentioned in the video this is both printers at default the Z offset was a easy adjustment and not necessary to get good print more of a personal preference. Since adjusting it my 1st layers are perfect. Over 100 hours into printing I haven't made any other adjustment, and I don't think I need to the quality is just as good as the X1C which is amazing by my standards. I haven't owned a Creality printer and don't plan too anytime soon. After seeing the price of $2499 Plus tax and shipping on the X1E, I probably won't be buying the bigger X1C when it drops, looks like Bambu Labs is going to be raising prices.
So thats an amazing printer for the price but did you check the Infimech web page absolutely no parts available. Everything is sold-out something to think about keep checking to see when things are back in stock. One other point for me is the build plate size I'm not a fan of going smaller than the Bambu even if its a great performer like the Infimech.
I agree. The day after I ordered the parts, they went out of stock, Infimech told me they would be shipping the first week of May, but I haven't heard anything yet.

The fact that you would complain about noise on the x1c, especially after the recent updates with the motor noise cancelation calibrations.... idk just what are you even talking about? I can walk into the next room and leave the door open between them and i can barely tell if my 3 x1c's are running half the time because they are that quiet.
99 USD for shipping to US and EU + VAT kind of changes quite a lot in terms of value for money, don't you think?
All I can speak on is in the US personally I paid $299 shipped to my door. If it was $400 I might not have risked buying it since I wasn’t familiar with the brand. Now that I have it I think it’s still a good buy at $400 it’s mostly metal and glass construction, running pretty much stock klipper with some pretty killer specs it’s print just as fast as my $1250 X1C which I had to pay tax and shipping ontop of. Print Quality is just as good as the x1c if not even better in some cases. Setup took like 10mins and it was printing and most of that was installing the door handle. It’s really solid and it’s quieter than my x1c. I mean I own a $1600+ X1C with an AMS and I still prefer using the infimech that should say enough.

They do, and the cheaper you go the more you lose, the A1 mini for instance is comparable in price but has an 80c bed, no enclosure, is a bed slinger so takes up lots of space, small 180mm x 180mm bed. With that being said I love the A1 mini for small PLA prints I think it's one of the best, and it's very quiet compared to the X1C. But this video is comparing the X1C to the Infimech because I own an X1C not a P1P or P1S. I wouldn't mind comparing the Infimech to the A1 mini, but they are very different printers.
I better get one before the price changes😂😂😂

im starting to not trust anyone's review who started with the X1C. You all missed a giant learning experience thats not touched on at all in this video. Theres a reason Bambu is loved so strongly in the 3D community but seeing you bash it in every single comment section is concerning. You've hardly used it and you didn't tweak anything. It boiled down to "its quieter and faster for $300". I assume you're either getting a kickback on the link or You've just been SUPER lucky and got two solid printers and dont print outside your comfort zone. i dont know man but this whole video is sus. You also keep contradicting yourself. Zero OOB changes but then talk about changing or altering settings. no mention of infill. temp. part quality. customer support. printable types. available parts. how it sits multi color. the list goes on and on. I also assume you dont use yours for a business. dependability is huge. Id never trust that knockoff

I thought my FlashForge Adventurer 5M Pro was a Bambu killer at $499 enclosed with a quick swappable hotend, and internal circulation fans...... I just bought this printer (Infimech TX) because at $299 had to.... just had to!!!

I have a brand-new nozzle for the Bambu labs, it has 300hrs on the original harden steel nozzle with 1 print in a carbon fiber filament. So, it should be fine. But I may swap it out to be safe.

Yeah both are Creality PLA just didn’t have to spools of the same color. Luckly I bought mine before the added the $90 in shipping was kinda surprised shipping was free considering it’s coming from china and that cheap. I’m pretty sure even the bambu labs had $40 in shipping. Also no tax on the Infimech

I love when you said you didn't have to do anything, but let it slip you had to adjust z-offset with the infimech. The Bambu labs prints amazing with the stock profiles in orcaslicer and I have had zero issues. Coming from tinkering with my ender 3's all the time to get them dialed in to something I just plug in and go is night and day, no need to level the bed, adjust the z-offset, do flow calibration, it's all automatic and that's why I love the x1c.
We are comparing a $299 printer to a $1250 printer. The Z offset is super simple to adjust I just raised it 2 clicks.

Why are you still running calibrations before a print on the X1 Carbon? I calibrate once for each filament type and then that's it, I levelled the bed on day one and have not had to do it since.
By not performing all the calibrations the X1 Carbon can start the print much quicker.

Tell me about it. I rarely run calibrations and even use the fast startup(pinoydiy) for most of my prints. I think I only rerun calibrations after a firmware update or spool change.
Just started other print on both printers with only (Use AMS, and Timelapse) Infimech still started printing first. Turn off calibrations on the Bambu Labs doesn't seem to make much of a difference. Still seems to do some calibrations.
The X1 STILL takes 8 minutes to start just like ALL Bambu printers. And as far as "I only leveled it 1 time in its life" im just going to say your lieing. I have a Bambu as well and I have leveled it every 5 or 10 prints since I have gotten it. If I dont I get waves in the first layer (common issues with Bambu). Anyone buying a Bambu printer at this stage is just being dumb. SO MANY other printers on the market now that work just as good and as easy and are just as reliable and get this ARE FASTER. Bambu is falling behind with 2 year old tech now and its only going to get worse for them

People will buy what they want for the feature they want. This printer while cheap does not match the full X1C in features and we have yet to see the parts prices or longevity. I have run my X1C for 21 months and counting (Kickstarter) and still printing great and in the time I have gotten silent steppers, Object exclusion app integration to where I don't even need to touch a slicer. Multi colors, filament redundancy, auto filament calibrations with the micro lidar and a host of other QOL benefits that goes just beyond does it print decent.

Just a couple of points. First of all, Bambu Labs does not have a monopoly on high quality prints. I have had Creality machines that cost less than this one produce just as good prints. So if this one puts out quality prints, so what? Also, you said that adjustments were needed to get the level of print quality you got from it; Bambu does that right out of the box... including the P1P and the A1. You have had this machine all of one week.... so what if you ran it 24/7? Let's hear back from you in 6 months and one year out.... see if it is still printing as well with little maintenance. You also didn't mention that the top cover is nylon fabric that uses velcro to hold it on. How much did they pay you to post this video?
Its not that serious, all I can speak on is what I’ve experienced so far, with that being said all machines will need maintenance at some point and the infimech is way easier to service than my X1C. Also I adjusted the Z offset to help Polycarbonate prints come off the bed easier it takes 2 clicks. The Z offset wasn’t bad enough to cause any issues but I changed it for preference. Didn’t mention the top but you can see it at first I was alittle put off my the top but since using it I prefer it. Very easy to tilt it back and lean it up against a wall versus having to remove the glass on the Bambu labs or open the door. Surprisingly the cloth top on the Infimech hold in heat very well. So far everything seems built very solid so I expect it to hold up well with time.

220x220x250mm thats a bit smaller thats 15" square inch's lost off your build plate 😢 the Carbon-X1 is great but even their Bed Slingers are beating them now for speed and print quality out the Box..! the Carbon needs an updated board and Firmware it's starting to fall behind clearly!! but they need to do something! lower the Price come out with an updated version something!!! and a 300mm+ build area is also something they need to produce! if I can make a nice printed Benchy on the A1 in under 12min!! clearly there is better chip's and drivers with the firmware being better! thats not even a Core X/Y thats a Bed slinger!! they are selling the Mini like Hot cakes though so maybe they don't see the need to update their flagship that is clearly selling much less...
100% this was my point, I hope the X1E isn’t a sign of what they have planed for the X2C. The X1E makes the X1C seem like a deal, $2500 for a +20c hotend, an Ethernet port, and a heated chamber. Im pretty sure the Q1 Pro comes with all of this for $479

I understand thanks for feedback, this is all new to me. Just showing off an affordable printer that I'm beyond happy with. This a rare prospective from someone who owns an X1C switching to a more affordable printer and showing my experience. I may record a more Indepth comparison showing the differences switching filament, maybe changing the nozzle. I'm really just trying to show new people trying to get into 3D printing there are other options other than the Bambu labs that are just as plug and play for a fraction of the cost. Not all $300-$400 printers are like the old Ender 3s

So you need to add a camera, there is no hardened equipment, smaller print area, no AMS, no ability to add 16 total colors, no filament runout and correction protection. NO side blower fan, no air filtration at all. If you are printing toxic materials that cloth hood is not doing a damned thing. No auto filament calibrations with micro lidar. Parts are non existent. Nozzle sizes, only .4mm? Proprietary?
Heck even the normal features like printing remotely from maker world means you dont even need to touch the printer to load filament(AMS), touch a slicer just make sure the print bed is clear.
If you think the X1C is ONLY a fast printer you are missing out on all of the other things it can do.
Im cresting 8k hours on my X1C and while the printer hardly needs any defending you are missing a whole host of things between the 2 and are doing your viewers a disservice not mentioning ALL of the differences.
The infimech does have filament runout, the X1C air filtration is a joke and isn’t saving you from any toxic fumes, nozzle is volcano system so plenty of nozzle options, and with all those fancy calibrations the quality is still no different. Most people run pei sheets which don’t work with lidar and in the last year I’ve had 3 failed prints due to bed adhesion(my fault) and only 1 was detected by the AI Camera spaghetti detection. The X1C is an amazing printer don’t get me wrong(aside from how loud it is) and the AMS is amazing just for ease of use even if you don’t use multi color feature. But this year AMS alternatives will come out and the Bambu Labs will lose its one part trick.
@@Lost3DPrints No, not filament has "run out" and the printer stops.. I am talking about the filament runs out, the AMS loads a new set of filament and continues without user intervention. Great for long jobs and you dont need to babysit the printer when you are about to run out of filament.

Go to Device, make at least 2 filament rolls the same color, Click "auto refill" to see the runout order.
Great way to use up rolls of filament and good for prints that dont need to be the same color, just make them the same in the slicer.
You must not print ABS much then. I have a tvoc meter around my printer and it does make a difference. I also run a bento box and it works well. That cloth hood is next to useless for that.
I dont use multi color as much but I also dont need to touch spools 4kg at a time. This means I dont have rolls exposed to humidity, I can auto load and unload too. I can run print jobs for clients remotely as the AMS loads the job without me having to be there. Aside from having an employee clear the plate it is a seamless use case.
What's interesting MMU2(2019), palette(2017), ERCF (2021)have been around for many years and we have yet to see real competition for the AMS or AMS lite. Either you are stuck with a limited 2 filament idex, expensive and quite crappy prusa XL.
I stopped waiting for vaporware because everything is great and awesome when we have to use our imagination but until a real product shows up then its a fruitless pursuit. I have noticed when you have to kludge on an addon, then tweak, calibrate and a bunch of other crap it is never as good as something that was tailor made for it. Even your Infirmech wont have a cutter, discard chute and probably needs way more tuning than most people trying to save a buck is prepared for.

Honestly, there's no out of the box printer better than an X1C lol. I've got a K1 Max and X1C and my god, what a huge difference.
Your small sample size of printers makes you feel this way, the K1 Max has been a very problematic printer. I’m currently working on a video of the Qidi Q1 Pro and it is 100% better than a K1, plenty of printers are better than the X1C out the box. I’ve been have constant issues with my X1C. The X1C is good but it’s not the end all be all of printers.
Thew answer is prusa. Prusa had been making the best out-of-the box printers for over 7 years now. From unboxing to printing in less than 10 mins for me.

Your a1 mini doesn’t print a stock STL benchy in 13 mins that’s a speed benchy file. The Infimech has a speed benchy file that prints in 12 mins but those aren’t comparable due to the manufacture changing the gcode they print with less walls and infill ect

Open source Klipper AMS's are coming out this year. Not 100% a deal breaker for most. What this printer shows is you can get a very capable printer for Sub $400 full enclosed capable of printing engineering grade filaments like ABS, ASA, and PC right out the box. While keeping the print quality and speed of the well respect X1C. The fact that's its all metal and glass with a decent touchscreen and is quieter than the X1C are very valuable bonuses. I'm not posting to shill for the brand or to hate on Bambu Labs, I love my X1C and I think the A1 Mini at $250 is probably the best first printer for people wanting to print just PLA and PETG. But the A1 Mini is very limiting with a 80c bed at 180mm x180mm and no enclosure.
Bambu AMS is a joke in itself. "make a 4 inch 3 color print!" (it will only take a full roll of filament in waste and take an additional 20hrs to print)....THATS is a joke

Open source as been one of the greatest and biggest draw backs to a proper multicolor/material system. Every one is waiting for someone else to do it when there are hundreds of different printers. They are so stuck on being able to "source the parts anywhere" it becomes smashing together things that have varying quality differences and have varying outcomes.
The open stuff and alternatives for nearly 5-7 years have been a pain to build, maintain, unreliable, and somehow THIS year will be the year they get it right when Bambu got it right not once(2022 AMS 16 colors) but twice (2023AMS lite 4 colors).
I am not holding my breath the Open source folks get it right this year either since the printers that will connect to them were never built to use them. No cutter in the toolhead or poop chute to expel filament. The will probably use a ridiculous waste/prime tower which will already cut into the anemic bed size.
The X1C is nothing special. Its just one of many china made coreXY printers running input shaping. Just at a hella marked up price.

This is 100% what I’m expecting this year, also why I’m selling mine and gonna have less money in a Infimch TX, Q1 Pro, and a SV08.

$299 Printer better than a Bambu Labs X1C? No.
Maybe, depends on what you want to use it for. If that's in your office, bedroom, or somewhere where noise is an issue. The Infimech is generally better, quality and speed are pretty much the same. But the X1C is just loud as hell. I might start running it in silent just because I prefer to run the Infimech for noise reasons. Keep in mind this is more showing how close a $299 printer can get to the X1C. I'm sure if you're a Bambu Labs owner you don't want to see a $299 printer compared to your almighty Bambu Labs. But I'm not brand loyal and own both so I'm showing my experience.
If your so interested in speed wise guy buy a PRO Printer. Quit whinning crying about printer thats awesome for a newer customer. NEW customers is what keeps the hobby alive not you smart azzes that pick bull crap out to cry about.
