Also I'm not telling people to buy the Infimech, this video was more about what's been updated on the A1/A1 mini that the X1C/P1S/P1P are lacking. But If someone interested in the Infimech I highly recommend it it's a very eye-opening printer. New budget Klipper printers have stepped their game up. I'll have another video comparing all 3 when my Q1 Pro shows up. And then a video about the SC08 soon also stay tuned.

I appreciate this video. Lots of bambu videos are 3+ months old, so it's nice to get an updated perspective from someone. I have a P1S and an A1 mini and have considered the same things. The nozzle swap is too convenient not to include in the next iteration. The noise is noticeable, and the AMS frankly needs an overhaul. Jams far too often. Looking forward to the next generation of Bambu.

I bought a load of Polyterra filament when I bought my X1C and AMS and have never had an AMS blockage with that or Bambu filament, I have only had 2 filaments snap in the AMS and its been Generic both times.

@@AndrewAHayes das cool man I've had bambu silk pla jam about 7-10 times in a few months, and generic elegoo cardboard getting pulled out of place stopping hours long prints many more times. And my biggest gripe with the thing is that when it detects a jam, it tries to forcibly push the filament through the jam over and over again until it jams itself some more. If you've never experienced that consider yourself lucky.

Yeah, I keep a full hotend assembly for each nozzle size and then spare nozzles. That way I can replace the hotend quickly and then take a few minutes to disassemble and replace the nozzle that failed, and then I stick it back into rotation as my backup. That is a pretty big commitment in having parts on hand, and it is definitely not as handy as the nozzle replacements on the A1. That's a pretty slick setup. I always worry I'm going to damage the connectors when replacing my hotend with those fiddly little wires and connectors. So far, so good. Knock on wood. Glad they're continuing to improve their design and ease of maintenance though (which in turn means everyone will be working to up their game).

just gotten my bambu labs A1 (with the updated heatbed that doesnt catch fire) 3 days ago and it has been printing pretty much none stop since i got it, so far ive been really happy with it (yes the "light" and camera on it is pretty much a joke.. but the light is easely fixed with a couple printet mounts and a $10 amazon led light bar. coming from a heavily modified Ender 3 pro with directdrive extruder, BLtouch klipper bed mesh leveling and all of that jazz its soo much easier to get good bed adhesion and a much better looking print with the A1 and its a lot quieter. the Infimech looks like a tempting offer for getting in to core x/y printing but the 220x220 bed is just a deal breaker for me atleast if i were to add another printer to my collection, wish they would make it as big as the Bambu´s or better yet make it bigger.

100% agree I think the A1 after the bed fix is an amazing printer, it’s quieter than my X1C and the hotend is 1000x easier to replace! I thought the stock lighting was better than the X1C but either way fixing the light on the A1 would be a lot easier to fix than the X1C due to the lack of an enclosure. I planning on dropping the X1C from my collection due to how loud it is, and the AMS is a pain in the ass. Hopefully they make a 350mm x 350mm X1X or something and address some of the things the core x/y Bambu labs printers are lacking on. Until then I have an SV08 ordered. @Lost3DPrints haven't had any first hand experience with the p or x series from Bambu so can't say how the light compares to those but I personally found the factory light on the A1 pretty much useless. The way it's mounted on the X gantry makes it so that it's pretty much not illuminating the top of the heatbed when it lays down the first couple layers but I also have my printers set up in a pretty dimm corner and have gotten used to the dual light bar ive build on the ender 3 so there are no shadows from the x gantry on the heatbed, But again a easy fix on the A series. Nope not at all, but if we make a deal out of it they will fix it. Bambu Lab printers are the ones we shouldn’t be changing. We are paying a premium for a polished product. I hear people saying it is a $299 printer but it isn't as you have VAT and shipping costs on top of that, I don't know who's VAT rate it is or what the price is and I don't know what the shipping cost is, one thing I do know though is that it is a limited time price.
I have had my fill of cheap Chinese printers, I have an X1 Carbon and AMS but if I could turn back time I would still buy the X1 Carbon, I have a printer that I trust 100% and I know if I have any issues my vendor has my back, when I took out my nozzle to put a 0.2 in one of the brass inserts of the extruder ended up proud and I couldn't get a nozzle back in, my vendor had one to me next day post.
The Infimech spares are all out of stock, considering they haven't sold that many of the machines I am shocked that they are sold out of spares.
Another thing with the Infimech is that gap in the door, I would like to see if that affects the printing of engineering filaments.
About the Bambu noise, I print PLA with the door closed and never have any issues, I also have a hose fitted to it for the extraction fan and the noise is much less.

    • @AwwwSnapperz
      @AwwwSnapperz หลายเดือนก่อน +1

This is a very odd video. So much misinfo. I print PLA all the time and have NEVER printed with the door open. This is thousands of hours in use with a cool(35C) and PEI sheet(55) and 10s of thousands of filament changes on my AMS. No issues at all.
Broken filament issues is the filament, not the printer. If you have crappy filament get better filament. They fact that your filament is breaking on both machines tells me a lot.
Taking the AMS apart is 2 screws and some minor disassembly. Maybe a few min to do tops.
You can print WITHOUT the AMS on an X1C. SO saying you cant print anymore is not true at all.
The infimech doesnt even have that (AMS)option at all.
The fan is the loudest part of the printer but you can turn down fans if you want, turning down the speed to silent mode does not address the fans, which again, can be set from the screen, app or slicer.
But at the end of the day *buy[quality] once, cry once* .

Light interferes with the operation of lidar system . Lidar uses a laser to illuminate the shape of the test pattern which is then scanned by a sensor. The more external light there is the less contrast the laser has and the sensor can get accurate information. This is probably why it has a dim light. Installing a brighter light isn't a good idea. It's odd that Bambu didn't use a brighter light and just program the printer to dim the lights during lidar scanning. Perhaps the next generation of the X1 will feature this.
I don't own a bambu machine. I like to tinker with my printers so I avoid closed source printers.
