Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this... Fuse3 is what's used in this release of Ubuntu. All you needed to do was install libfuse2 and would of avoided borking your system. 🖖
There is no way installing fuse should break Ubuntu desktop. One day shell, desktop and distros will take dependencies seriously and stop breaking each others userspace.

I’ll check em! Just holding out for a stable release for Retropie (the main reason I purchased my pi5) I’ve got a nvme ssd base arriving at the end of the month, seen your recent video about the new case too. Subbed.
For the chmod and the ./yourProgram you can type first letters and hit tab key, it will autocomplete with the ocurrency. It's easiear than copying and pasting. Keep in mind that you need to be in the directory of the file, in this case "Documents"
Beat me to it. Though you can do it in Windows as well now, but one of the great delights of Linux/Unix is tab auto-complete. When I first saw a Unix admin in full flight about 20 years ago I thought he had 4 hands - the speed with which things were happening on the screen. Then he let me in on the secret.
Wasn't it easier to right click on the file, go to properties and set the executable flag there?

I'd like to see you do a full playthrough so I can see if there are any significant differences between the PS2 and PC versions. I've only ever played the PC version and don't even have a copy for the PS2. I actually started playing it again a couple of months back and haven't finished playing through it this time around, but I really love Xash as far as ways to play Half-Life go.
I will love to see how well the raspberry pi 5 runs half life on android os using Xash3D!

It's a shame AetherSX2 1.3 isn't available anywhere anymore. The developer deleted the archives and we only have 1.4 and 1.5 available anymore. I managed to get a few games running with this (for example, Monsters at War ran perfectly at 60fps at native res) but for most games, it runs at 4fps.
It's cool that we are able to do this but the proper emulation just isn't there yet for raspberry pi 5 :/

Hi, I have a problem when I launch an emulated game, I tested on three games and four different Bios, I have the message "Failed to compile utility pipelines", I saw there was a file Vulkan_Pipelines.bin and I tryed to delete it but the file regen and I always have the same message...If someone has a solution.....I'll be there ! ^^ Thank you for the videoS !
Are other emulators working as well with Ubuntu? If so is there any disadvantages with going with Ubuntu on the 5 over Raspian?
Too soon to tell. If it doesn’t work with Raspberry Pi OS Ubuntu gives us another option

@@nitromallard454 PCSX2 doesn’t have an Arm version I use Aethersx2. Both operating systems work well

Wait, what's fuse? Why did it break linux?
Something to do with file systems. Aethersx2 asks for it in order to launch , unfortunately it also performs loads of changes and updates that aren’t compatible. It’s been fine after the fix I showed. Ubuntu video tomorrow
It's a user space file mounting system that's required for AppImages to work. The fact that there are so many things that are essential for people to make their system useful that Ubuntu doesn't have installed by default is annoying and a huge part of why I'll never use it.
@@leepspvideo An AppImage is a (compressed) package (sort of like an ISO image) and you need to unpack it to make it work. With Fuse it will do it for you on the fly, so you don't need to remove the extracted files after use. You can also extract the files from the AppImage and run it.
@@anon_y_mousse Ok, somehow it is available in Kubuntu because I do use appimages a lot. Good for me then.
