      @Ah01 are you using thr Allak 2 during the summer. I am going to be doing some kayak camping(NH) and I am torn between the Allak and the Niak. I probably won't do winter camping, but then again, these tents cost so much. I want to get it right the first time.

      @Ah01 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@windsup2day I do, it is perfectly usable in the summer too. Of course it is an overkill then by it's qualities and on occasion it is a good idea to ventilate via the door sleeves too.

    That rain reminds me of when I was training as a NZ Forest Ranger in the 80's, and we were cutting a walking track through North west Nelson Forest Park.
    We were being supplied by horses coming in from Karamea. Rained every day for 3 months and in the end the river crossings flooded so much the horses couldn't get through. Living out of fly camps, that we moved up as the track progressed. This was the days before Gore-Tex and all we had to keep the weather out were swanndris. So every evening off with ya wet stuff that steamed over the fire but never dried, back on in the morning.
    Pissed me, when they made the nation park, how much of the Forest park was lost to things like mining concerns and stuff.
    I live in Sweden now and so like Hilleberg tents, awesome.
    Thanks for taking us on ya adventures, mate.

    Best wishing on sharing your life together. Wishing you peace, happiness, good health and good fortune. Thanks for enduring the rain and for sharing the experience. Your set up is what I experienced as enjoyable misery. The Hilleberg tent is my favorite and is part of a future planned purchase. I have a AquaQuest tarp that I plan on using as well. Your philosophy to use the gear for its maximum intended purpose is on point. Nature shows no mercy to the unprepared. Bravo to you and your willingness to challenge nature’s tooth and claw👏🏻Be well. Be safe. Wishing you some enjoyable misery that is comforting and peaceful. Happy trails!

    Man, not sure how you find all that rain. I thought La Niña was over. It's been pretty much no rain here in Nelson for two full weeks while you've been away. I went up Lees Creek a week ago, and with ten days of no rain at the time and being an east-west valley, there were patches of hoar frost in the permanent shadow that looked like snow. Bit nippy in the hut with the two louvre windows, but there are some excellent camping spots along the way. Love your work. It's an inspiration.

    Well you made it! You now have a Hilleberg!! I doubt you will be able to destroy it through weather conditions. Check out the UK tubers who take the Hilleberg up to the tops in UK for a massive battering - it never seems to fail. Also, the other cool thing about the Hilleberg is you can pitch the inner with the outer so the inner doesn't get wet. And congrads on the wedding!

    Another great vid! What's the use of beer if it has no alcohol LOL...If you are thinking about a car camp why not a different location and title it - "Abel discovers Abel Tasman" :) Must be a few interesting spots around there? Anyway, congrats on the wedding and honeymoon and maybe you can have a second honeymoon hiking in Colorado in the summer - I laughed when you said you were on a diet and then proceeded to eat - what was it 4 sausages ha ha. It's all part of it! Keep up the good work. Sounds are amazing.

    Hi Abel, I wondered when you would surface again after your wedding bliss with Victoria. Congratulations guys. It sounds like your wedding went well and that you had an awesome honeymoon. I love your new tent and it’s going to be great for the both of you and so suitable for sitting up inside on those cold snowy and rainy trips. We also have a smaller tent for when we have just have weekend trips and then our big flash one for longer holidays but just like you I just love camping anytime. Thanks again for an awesome video. I really enjoy your natural, casual style and watching you really enjoying your yummy meals. Oh yes and the only alcohol I enjoy is a beer as well (a shandy is my favourite really) and I find that the non alcoholic ones taste just the same as the alcoholic drinks so why not drink them instead. 👍oh just adding a PS do you dry everything out when you get home Abel as you seem to pack up wet? My husband has always insisted that we brush everything off before packing up and air and dry things out when we get home if they get wet whilst camping. We have had both our tents for years now so I think maybe it’s paid off. 😊

      @AbelandVictoria  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey yes wedding and honey moon were fantastic. Perfect weather down in Queenstown. The tent really needs to be up on the tops. Hopefully we get some good snowy conditions soon.
