The crashing waves on the rocky coast remind me of the Tigris and the Euphrates rivers , where memories took me back to my childhood . I really miss my birth place so much . Thanks Erik so much for such wonderful experience
Hi Erik thank you for sharing your beautiful films with us all. It is wonderful to see your creative gift at work making films and enjoying the wilderness. Keep on trekking mate.
Beautiful as always, well done catching that natural kayaking sound 🙏 (and every other sound, as always). A pleasure to start sundays with videos like this 🙏😄
Sébastien Off course they are real, however used as layers of sound to video not recorded simultaneously in some cases. I think that’s an artistic move that’s okey, even preferable to this genre in some scenes. So it’s not always ”live”-sound, but I bet you they’re real 😉
@@kevinfangomango You are probably right. It was annoying at first but because I thought it was not done on purpose. After watching a few other videos I definitively understand the artistic value of those " little bit overkill" sounds. Interesting. Do you know other youtubers with that "no talking, HQ sounds, scene in nature" style?
Sébastien I know some, I usually watch Rune Malte Bertram-Nielsen who also do similar with good quality sound and no talk. However its more buschcraft. Like a Nordic version of ”Primitive technology” combined with outdoor life. Worth s watch 😊 I will soon experiment with blending the style into my own videostyle too 😉
Haa, got your boat wet! Nice going, you've got the place to yourself. I've been out way too little.. maybe after the summer's business is past I'll get a paddle in.. Cheers, thanks for making and taking us again..
Hi Erik, beautifully filmed. Once again you've captured the essence of being out in the wild as Nature intended, away from the pressures of civilisation. Chilling out at its best. ATB
Ive been waiting for another kayaking video from you, so thank you! Hehe. Hilleberg Allak is a superb tent. Ive been using it the whole summer for kayaking overnights.
When I feel tired from hiking that's what I do usually on the next trip, some canoe camping either with my kayak or my canoe , it's very relaxing to be on the water and you can bring more stuff or some little luxury. Thank's for sharing this moment of nature with us . Nice sunglasses by the way , matches the color of your kayak 😎
You forgot to do a thumbs up with your evening coffee. I was waiting for it. I was relieved when you did your thumbs up with your morning coffee. I love watching your shows and always watch for the thumbs up. You should do a show showing where you were born & raised. Brothers& sisters? Do you have kids? Tell about yourself. You are very interesting.
Hi Erik! It looks like your summer is ending nicely. Our summer is on its way out as well, and we’ll be Nordic skiing before you know it. Safe travels and looking forward to your next adventure! -Ashlyn
Excelente video.
You ever sleep in a hammock tent? No shortage of trees, but finding a flat tent space is, especially with all those rocks. In the right hammock setup, namely the Warbonnet Ridgerunner you lie flat and it’s a “holy moment” of comfort. I wish Hilleberg would design one
Hey Erik, good to see you enjoying the kayak. There really is nothing else that compares to slicing thru the cold, deep blue with the sound of the of the water slapping against the sides. Its amazing what can be stored in the kayak; it reminds me of the very old documentary 'Nanook of the North'. There is a scene where Nanook is paddling into shore; a child laying on top of the vessel gets deposited ashore. Then Nanook starts pulling out another adult (wife) tucked in the front, her baby that he hands to her, another adult from the other end and then, lo and behold, a dog. The entire family . . . mind-boggling. What were you reading this time? Thanks for the video and take care, Donna
Superb! I would prefer some talking but It seems alot of people are having a ASMR type experience watching your films. I respect everyone who gets out there whatever the video quality is like, your filming is second to none. ATB from Scotland.
Hey...Eric....take me to all your journey..... I really2 love your vid, especially snow and skatting vids..... Iam so jealouse on you...coz i live in equator... I never see, touch and feel the snow..... Yesterday i was laughing when i watch your vid, when you said * its so hot for september (17 degree)) iam sweating*..... You know everyday here"s about 36 degree..... You will go sweating although you never take one move.....hahahhah.... Love_from_Indonesia
Enjoyed your overnight video . Very peaceful and beautiful scenery. Coffee in the morning is a good ritual many humans enjoy all across the world. Thank you for the opportunity to ride along with you on your trips . Do you ever have a companion along with you that you film? Just wondering. Will continue to watch. Tom in Minneapolis, MN 8/31/19
Very nice trip and great sounds and film as always. I have the Allak for camping and kayaking and use the Unna for solo backpacking for the weight savings. Have you had the Allak out in a wind or snow storm? I would love to see footage of how it does. Keep sharing - you are doing very well!
Thanks Dave! Yes I tried pitch it in very strong winds once, but it was hard to do alone. I had to seek a more calm place to manage get it up. But the tent is very strong indeed.
Great filming, great landscape and great person. Very enjoyable to watch. If you're interested in feedback from a random stranger from the internet who has watched quite a few of your videos already: Maybe consider tuning down on the sound effects. I personally find those to be somewhat out of place and make the videos less enjoyable. Thanks for reading and have a nice day.
It's almost strange to see Erik using a car to get to a location at the beginning of this video - almost as though I/we think he just walks everywhere like some mythical Nordic messenger..haha
Tumme upp!
49 reviews and one person mention the tent and only because he has one and kayaks. That's a really nice tent but Holey Cow it takes a truck load of money to own one. Yep , I looked them up on the net. Now I know why I like cheep ( According to Hilleberg tent prices ) Jungle hammocks that only cost around $300.00. Plus camping in Florida's weather where the heat index can hit the triple digits ( F. not C. ) being off the ground really helps. My kayak was the 17 1/2 foot Coho by Pygmy Boats that I made and later the youngest daughter finally claimed as her own. So I made more boats for my use. LOL Here in Florida your 17 C. or 62 F we consider cold weather ( winter ).
Hi Erik! How would you adjust the ventilation of the allak in summer or winter to keep the condensation in the inner tent as low as possible? Maybe you could briefly comment on this topic in one of your following videos. Chris
The Allak has big adjustable openings in the roof (under the top cover) making ventilation very effective. Allak is a very well ventilated tent! Thanks Chris
Erik, did you somehow replace the plastic lid handle on your Trangia 27 kettle with something that can withstand an open fire? I've seen a couple of videos from others who have shown how the Trangia kettle handle melts if it's put over an open flame...
Wow,thank you Erik! Yes, your coffeepot and kåsa are back!! What is the volume of your faithful coffeepot? How do you find the Allak tent? Alrready looking forward to your next video!
Thanks LG. Allak is great for kayaking as it is freestanding, and great for any other purpose too of course. It's quite heavy though and I wouldn't pick it for backpacking trips.
It is true. There are violent criminals, always watching the good citizen to steal and hurt. They dress like a normal worker class, sport's fan or student, but never ever trust them. Also, do not trust any smile or lets be friends.
Great video Erik! Looks very relaxing. Thanks for sharing.
do you still do the allak1? cheers
The crashing waves on the rocky coast remind me of the Tigris and the Euphrates rivers , where memories took me back to my childhood . I really miss my birth place so much . Thanks Erik so much for such wonderful experience
very therapeutic - I am always lulled into a tranquil, meditative state watching your videos... 👍🏽

Beautiful as always, well done catching that natural kayaking sound 🙏 (and every other sound, as always). A pleasure to start sundays with videos like this 🙏😄
No way the waves and wind sounds are real. It doesn't even match with what's on screen.
Sébastien Off course they are real, however used as layers of sound to video not recorded simultaneously in some cases. I think that’s an artistic move that’s okey, even preferable to this genre in some scenes. So it’s not always ”live”-sound, but I bet you they’re real 😉

Hello Erik, another nice adventure. Ty for bringing us along. 🤘
Thanks Joseph
Again, Thanks for making life better.
Great video, and a very nice trip in your Kajak.
Thanks! :)
perfect view perfect location good job sir
This may sound nuts, but when he has his coffee, I can taste the coffee I used to have on hikes.
Sound pretty good to me. I feel the same when he says-"Morning Coffe, holy moment".
Hi Erik, beautifully filmed. Once again you've captured the essence of being out in the wild as Nature intended, away from the pressures of civilisation. Chilling out at its best. ATB

I gulped when you filled morning coffee in the wooden cup.
Is there any other way?🤪Regards Dorset UK

Great video.👍 In particular all the scenery, nature and sounds of nature. Thank you😃
I am ready to see the river, the kayak, hear the wind, the strike of the match, the coffee pot lifted from the fire and the thumb, raised.
Hi Erik! It looks like your summer is ending nicely. Our summer is on its way out as well, and we’ll be Nordic skiing before you know it. Safe travels and looking forward to your next adventure! -Ashlyn

Nice looking tent!
Very happy with the tent, but too heavy for backpacking IMO.
Good to see you on the water again Erik. Beautifully filmed as always.

Thanks for the story Donna! Yes it's amazing how much you can get into that small thing. The book was Henning Mankell 'The dogs of Riga'
Superb!

always the best sunday video!
Great video. Awesome views. ✌️
Great Pair of Binoculars! :-)
Sunday=Erik normak❤
Who would give this a thumbs down ? It’s near perfect
I didn't but I guess the overuse of nature sounds could get him a few.
I am continually amazed by how much gear those kayaks can hold!
Super video
Another great relaxing video. Thanks again, Eric. Amazing how your channel has grown, congrats on your success!
Hello Erik, beautiful as usual and then just confirmed what I suspected all along, we both drive Saabs! 👏🏼

Snow is awesome dude. Take a trip to the Arktic ;-)
May be i would try from level zero...
The area looks a lot like Minnesota! The northern part of the state is full of nice clean water and quiet moonlit nights!
Thank you for the video
No words
Just awesome ❤✌️
Erik with his spirit animal shirt gives him a plus five dexterity toward coffee making.
Great video! I really did not realize you could stow that much gear in a kayak.
Yes it's very practical and luxury compared to backpacking :)

Thanks for sharing! What material did you use for the tarp inside the tent to add insulation and where did you procure it? Thank you
Ahhh thankyou!
