Kodiak Fly Fishing Silver Salmon and Pink Salmon

Fly Fishing and spin reel fishing for Silver or Coho Salmon and Pink Salmon or hump-back salmon on Kodiak Island in Alaska.
You'll see some different techniques. We are by no means fly fishing experts. This was filmed wading on three rivers on Kodiak Island; the Buskin River, Pasagshak River, and Middle Pillar River.
The Silver Salmon typically run in September and we got there just in time for some great salmon running up the river. You'll see some pinks being caught on the rivers, some silvers, and some of the bears that frequent the area. Kodiak Grizzly bears are typically very relaxed around the fisherman in the area as they are used to their presence in and around the rivers.
This was a guided fly fishing trip to the island for a week during the salmon run guided by kodiakfishingforfriends.com. Not pictured in the video was the day we spent out on the ocean fishing for rock fish like black cod and yellow eye, halibut, ling cog and more.
Tried to get a little bit of everything. Fly fish casting, slow motion fly fishing, fighting the fish, bringing them in, preparing fish, etc.
