Eris, you have really mentored me, I have been learning how to make tote bags from you tube and now lm able to sell. Some people give me orders to make school bags so l have been making simple backpacks. So feel I should not stop learning because you have really inspired me.

I didn’t even know how to sew until the pandemic and now I make purses, bags, pouches & wallets using Cork, vinyl & cotton blends 👍👍👍 completely TH-cam taught 🤪🤪

Aww thanks for sharing❤So I am not alone..lol... I went through everything you spoke of....When I moved from HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER to Bagmaker from 2016.
The only person who supported the idea (though she thought it was too 'low' was my Mum)
But she passed on to Glory few months after starting!!...The road till now is a story for another day🤒🤩...Hey glory to GOD I have grown to even teaching unique Bagmaking Online Academy💃.

I just started making bags( self-taught) customize tote bags n strap bags. At first it was discouraging but I then I came across your channel n I was blown away and encouraged 😊 thank you so so much.
Can I use my butterfly sewing machine for the thick bags??
Thank you... I'm happy my content helps😌. A few people I know that use butterfly sewing machine actually make thick bags but I think you may have to use soft / thin interfacing.

Plss am a beginner i really have passion and a big dream for bag making so i signed up for 6months training in a small scale bag making shop but the boss os not meeting up to the task i really want to learn. Pls how can i improve myself abd and meet up to the task even more than i planned for.
For any training program you have to be clear from the beginning what you want so that your trainer would not take you for granted and waste your time. Sadly it is something that happens
Especially in the African setting, when you do something different everyone will give you negative opinions but don't look back you are almost their to reach your goals.

Hi Eris, I came across your page today and I've binged at least 4 videos.
My question is around outsourcing as I do not have the capacity to make them myself.
It's been a challenge identifying artisans or manufacturers in Nigeria that can make bags.
Do you have any advise on this?
My niche would be structured bags made primarily with fabric with a mix of leather.

Hello, it's a general issue in Nigeria. Many bag factories aren't standard and the few are overworked. The reality is that you have to keep testing until you find what works for you. You can check these ones out..... instagram.com/chrisleathercraft/

I have to remind myself, that their niche is not mine.
I want timeless classic and beautiful craftsmanship to be seen in my bags. My goal is to sell to professionals that favor leather and the handmade items that were made carefully and not in bulk.

Please can you add inches to your cm
I always work with cm cause it’s more precise but if you want to convert to inches, you can use your phone or any soft measuring tape that has both cm and inches on it.
