- Sea fishing at Shoreham in strong winds and big seas with weed, weed and more weed.
In company with a few subscribers did not blank thanks to the humble Whiting.
All of us should have gone home but we fished the tide up in 30 mph WSW winds and were plagued by weed.
But its the reality of fishing along the south coast in winter.

Hi Karl thanks for the kind comments and likewise good to share your company. Fishing is contrary and challenging and the Saturday we were there was certainly almost unfishable but there is always next time 👍🐠🍺🍺
At least we gave it a go ! The waves never look as big on video than they do on the beach 🌊🌊🌊. Hopefully the weather gods will be kinder to you next time🤞🌞.

Good effort. Seaford was always my venue but have a soft spot for Shoreham as I probably learnt most of my fishing there. Thanks again for an entertaining watch!
Hi Gary I think we all gave it a fair crack and am heading out again on Sunday weather allowing. Tomorrow is perfect but am at work🤨 Have great memories from Seaford fishing with my uncle who started me on the fishing journey. Respect for getting out in those conditions. Few things I don't like while fishing - wind, weed, dogs and swimmers. Good to see a video - regardless of fish - and good to see you're on the mend.
Hi Klaus am starting to feel a lot better although my back is killing me. Am out again at the weekend and hope it’s a bit better than Saturday. The video did not do justice to the sea it was massive but a bit of sun and vitamin 🌊 sea take care 👍🐠🐠🍺🍺
Another brilliant Vid Paul, you get good days & bad days, I like to see warts & all, l could see you we’re having a bit of a bad day, but that’s what fishings all about, I was at a comp in west wales the other week, the first cast I made I lost everything rigs, shockleader leads the lot, so I just got on with it, put a new shockleader on etc, & like you I was between to fellas, both were catching & I was not, but it bother me because I was out, & I bloody enjoyed it, looking forward to the next Paul, tight lines buddy 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
Hi fellow thanks for taking the time to watch and comment really appreciated and does help make difficult fishing days better. We cannot let the lack of fish get in our heads as it happens to the best anglers. Your advice to get your head down and crack on is sound advice and ultimately we are fortunate to be out in nature with a chance of the big one which for me is always round the next fishing corner. Was going out a couple of days ago but tide and weather were rubbish so stayed at home drank beer and tried to help wife with Christmas decorations and failed 😂
Am definitely going this Saturday with a few of the regulars to fish the West arm at Shoreham as tide and winds are perfect but all about getting some fresh bait and am working this week so unable to go out pumping.
I suspect it will be whiting and more whiting but have a cunning plan anyway stay safe, take care and tight lines cheers Paul 👍🐠🐠🍺

Hi Carl all good and as you saw feeling a bit better than last time when I felt bloody rough. Cannot beat a good beach bivvy and so much lighter than the canvas nightmare that I used to have which was stupid heavy.If truth be known the conditions were pretty much unfishable and weight getting chucked back up the beach by the waves but still had a laugh. Hi Adam not the best illness to have and took me a wee while longer to recover which you would understand and the annoying part was I had another vaccination a week prior to catching it.
Am back to normal whatever that is in my case 😂 was going out this weekend but horrible easterly and rubbish tide so a few of us going out next Saturday 🤞take care Paul 🎣🎣🍺🐠🐠

Hi Martin knew from the outset it was unfishable but ever the optimist kept going like the rest of the crew. At least a few fish were caught otherwise would have been very depressed 😂 missed your company but maybe next time 👍🐠🐠🐠🐠

I fished near Eastbourne in similar conditions (I expect the same day) and had 20 or so whiting
Hi Nick well impressed with your catch and you did better than us all collectively but I suppose that is why we go fishing. I am aiming to get out again this weekend with winds from a northerly direction so hopefully a few fish. How often have i said that and then got nothing 😂 take care 👍👍🎣🎣🎣
@@SeaFishingWithPaul I've had my fair share of blanks recently and was considering giving up until my luck changed a couple of weeks ago when I caught my first reasonable size Bass and a flounder on the Saturday (daytime) then had a nice 47cm Codling and no less than 9x 30-40cms Bass during a night session the following Tuesday, was trying for a larger Bass last weekend but couldn't get through the Whiting! Anyway good luck this weekend, thank you for taking the time to reply to me and for putting your videos out in the first place.
@@nickproudlock1751 Goodness that was pretty good maybe the sea gods were listening 👂 It is a contrary sport full of lows and then the moment when the rod goes banging over and all the stress dissipates and the smile arrives. Although several weeks ago my rod did just that and had a decent fish on and half way in lost it. Still corrodes me now 😂
