      Thanks, yeah as Stephen says there are a few new projects in the pipeline but not entirely sure what it will be yet. Im going to do a video on this at some point I think. See what people think :)

    Just goes to show what a tiny amount of detail does to really enhance 'the look' splendid job and thanks for the info around those funnel lines, saved me having to ask. 😀

      No worries, I mean this is just the info I’ve found. I’m still not sure why there would be a need for a canvas cover over this area of the deck, but perhaps someone knows!

    She is looking amazing, Rob. I'm going to miss this series as well. Once you have completed this build. You have created a terrifically detailed model of this beautiful ship. There have been times that I thought I was aboard this ship with all the details you have incorporated into your build. Thank you so much for sharing this journey with you.

      Hi Steven, thanks so much for the comment. Really happy you have enjoyed the series. I'll be a bit sad when it's done too, but it will always be on the shelf!
      Need to start thinking about other models soon!
      Keep well,
      Robbie

      @@TheModelBoatGuy after I wrote that they arrived came from Birmingham unsure if the are right as these are grey and the bases are not hollow

    • @TheModelBoatGuy
      @TheModelBoatGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You might be alright there, I’m not an aficionado on china 3d but happy to look at some photos if you are unsure.
      WRT then being solid, all my china 3d stuff was solid, nothing hollow except for the ventilators.
      I wouldn’t worry about them being grey either, recently they have changed the resin they use to grey as it’s better for light blocking and apparently dosent impact the quality of the print

    Great video was wondering do you think the possibility for the railing by the funnels was so the staff wouldn't full on to the funnels and burn themselves? Don't no if the funnels got hot enough just a thought. Take care and really enjoy your videos.

    • @TheModelBoatGuy
      @TheModelBoatGuy  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi there, I don’t know tbh. The railings are very tall, much more than the height of the average person. So I suspect the railings weren’t for that purpose.
      The best theory someone’s come up with so far is that those railings were used to hoist a canvas sun cover but that might not be correct either!
      It’s a bit of a mystery whatever the true purpose was!
      Anyhow, thank you for your comment!

      @@TheModelBoatGuy Thanks Robbie for your answer yes thinking about it now it was a stupid question lol I didn't realise how tall the railings were maybe someone in your group may know the answer. Am going to Google it see what I can come up with am shure you have already done it without a satisfactory response. Thanks kind regards Rod 👍

    Hi am doing the hand rails at the bow but I've found out it doesn't meet in the middle how can I see to this is there another part the goes in the centre. I've got the 2 hand rails c17 & c15

    • @TheModelBoatGuy
      @TheModelBoatGuy  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the only way you could sort that is to add additional sections from spare parts. If you are using the KA set, you’ll have spares from the trumpeter kits brass parts. That’s probably the best bet. Mine lined up quite nicely, but I do remember having to tweak the railings quite a lot before gluing down

    looking great. I went back to look but didn't find anywhere with you talking about the base and the stacked blocks and support beams. I saw you talking about the nameplate, but not the actual hull supports. It looks great and quite authentic. Have I missed it or can you talk about it in a future video?

    Great video as always do u think thay will do a 1/200 scale lusitania model

    • @TheModelBoatGuy
      @TheModelBoatGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would like to build Mauritania, she was near identical to Lusitania but had a happier career, and was build in Newcastle, my home town.
      Unfortunately at present there are no large lots of these ships though, so I’m struggling a bit, and I don’t have the facility to build a large hull from scratch 😛

    • @TheModelBoatGuy
      @TheModelBoatGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there, I cover this in one of the very early episodes. All the portholes on the hull are sealed with a UV resin, which has allowed light out, but kept water out too!
