That lighting is perfect in proper illumination and softness. I kind of like the blue hue of the soft lights. Looks really good!!

The notch is for running wiring through if you use the Trumpeter lighting kit that comes with the model.

Wow! looking real good. Thanks for the explanation on the wiring/lighting, if I tried that I would end up with a molten piece of plastic. In the future could I call on you for assistance in the electrical department for lighting of ship models?

No problem. Just leave a comment for what you need. Boyd from the TrekWorks channel has some nice tutorials on wiring up models. He is a professional model builder I am not, so you might get more correct info from him.

Describe the Boat Deck fit problem.
Not sure what you mean by trellises. Please explain.

    Where is this model avaiable?

I got mine on ebay last year. Some hobby shops like Hobby Town USA may have them. Note that this is a pricey model. If I was not an old titanic fan I would not have gotten this model.

@@nascarnbroncosfans6055 Okay no problem. I am just starting up again with the model. I have not done anything since last April because my wife got sick and than died in June. So it has been a struggle to get back in the groove so to speak with the model. So hopefully I will get videos up sometime in the next month or two.
