Easy Subaru STI Passenger Occupancy Sensor Removal

Would the front airbags work without bypassing the occupant sensor to trick the system into thinking someone is on the seat?

Only the driver side airbag would work since the sensor would always say off on the passenger side.

Any idea on how I can acquire the occupant sensor pad itself?

I would try eBay, junkyards, Facebook, Craigslist or last resort the dealership. Good luck!
