    Using Marvelous Designer 11 or above? If you can't find the "show 2D texture" button: It now lives in the 2D display window, it looks like a folded piece of cloth/fabric.

    First of all, I really appreciate the way you made this video. Easy to follow along with, you didn't assume we would already know how to make curve lines or straight ones, I also liked the fact that in include information about backspace etc, VERY HELPFUL ... I only have one sticky spot, which is the sleeve. I can't sew it properly, the thread keeps overlapping. It doesn't matter how I do it or how many times I try. I just can't put this part together.

      Could ba a few things, if your running into an issue with sewing the sleeve while the sleeve still has half symmetry from "unfolding", try removing linked editng and if it doesn't work; feel free to check our website forum or the official discord which both allow image uploads where you can talk with us and other users.

      Hi, Thank you for getting back to me. I was able to complete the sleeve attachment finally. It wasn't any of the things that you mentioned... I was able to do it when I held down the shift key and also I relooked at my mouse settings to make sure it's on the same settings you mentioned. I suppose it could also be because I am working on a MAC as well. I will also do as you suggested regarding the website forum and the official discord which both allow image uploads in the future.

      @@anniea3276 That makes sense, glad you figured it out. We advise at the beginning of these videos to switch back to the default mouse settings but I'm sure most people skip that. So, keep in mind in these and future tutorials are using Windows devices and 3 button mouse with default Windows hot keys. Best of luck!

    Thanks for this. however the backspace/delete key does not delete my last polygon click. Nothing seems to work (MD v9.50

      highly likely it is just the settings, often if you are not on the default "3 button mouse" settings, custom settings can mix up the instructions.try changing or refreshing your default and see if that helps

    I'm a beginner here i have to ask how to know where to put the sewing points at?

    • @Marvelousdesigner
      @Marvelousdesigner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Our trainers have experience in the software/ know how real sewing patterns work, so that is how they know about sewing and where to create sewing relationships because it is the same principal as real life sewing. You can start learning by looking at clothes you own and checking out where the pieces join together (a seam line) and following along with our tutorials or other sewing or patterning tutorials. It takes time but you will start to understand how patterns & sewing relationships work the more you play with the software. (unless you mean "segment points" - you can put them anywhere but the fewer the better when first drafting a pattern and you want to put them at corners of patterns or where a pattern changes shape severly, you can always add more later)

    The background image that i've loaded isn't shown in the 2d pattern

    • @Marvelousdesigner
      @Marvelousdesigner  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The background image only applies to the background or the 2D window work space, make sure your fabric is transparent while you are working. If you want the image you are importing to be on your fabric then you will need to import the image as a texture in the fabric options.

    Hey, great video - I have been using the software for over 4 years so this may come across as more of a techy question - in terms of importing a pre-determined pattern of scale - how would we import this as a background image without it scaling but keeping true to its original size. I work making clothing based on life-size pattens. Due to this, I cant scale down to a reasonable size - because this takes away from the true size of the pattern. My workaround at the moment is to import the pattern as a texture within MD 7 - trace the file and then open the newly saved file within MD10 - any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    • @Marvelousdesigner
      @Marvelousdesigner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There isn't really a way to do this you will have to scale the images, nor will there be a feature to do this as the sister software CLO3D is meant for this exact purpose you're asking for. Marvelous Designer is not for actual patternmaking but CLO3D is here is the link (www.clo3d.com/).
      Best I would say is to do like the home printer patterns do and make a 4" square on the master pattern and scale it to fit a matching 4" square pattern in Marvelous Designer. For clothing making I would honestly recommend CLO3D instead, if you are wanting an actual patterning software with features that fit patternmaking needs.

      @@Marvelousdesigner hi thank you for getting back to me. I have the patterns pre-made it's more just importing them in at the correct scale - I will check out CLO but financially speaking it will be hard to transition over to the sister software - especially with the pandemic. I appreciate the reply and will keep using the MD 7 too MD 10 method
