We are going to update the tutorials. but for now the 2D textures referenced here 3:34 are now in the 2D display tool bar in the 2D window. It looks like a roll of cloth, the "transparant" option looks like a clear roll of cloth
4:32 you copy and mirror paste the detail, it appears on the right in 2d window and on the right in 3d window. But when I do the same, the detail appears on the right in 2d window and on the left in 3d window. How should I fix it?
As long as its still flipped/ a mirrored paste and you're getting the same result then it is not really important where it appears, it appears where you place it relative to the 2D window space. You can just move your pattern in the 3D space manually or right click the item in the 3d window and pick "reset 2D arrangement". That button is moved to the 2D display options in version 9.5. You should see a cloth Icon in the 2D window. That is where the fabric transparency options have moved to
Good timing, join the live stream in an hour and follow along instead, this will be demonstrated with the latest version. (its gonna be selecting the LINE you want to unfold)
also, check the live stream in an hour. this will be covered. if not please join the discord to specify further the issues because the answer to the issue depends on what you're selecting and where you are selecting it.
Is there any way to get the 3d line segment tool to actually work? I can click one or two points and then the whole line disappears and can't be controlled.
When working in the 3D window: to finish a line while using the Line (avatar & Garment) tools or 3D sewing tools - double click to finish. Otherwise it will not be completed and can disappear if you change tools or hit ESC key. once a line is created (eg the Line avatar tool) you can use the corresponding Edit tool to make changes to the line or segment points.
dont use ctrl+z for this as applying the whole line in 3D is considered one action. You can take steps back by using the backspace bar without losing the whole line. You can also leave the misplaced points and use the edit version of the tool to move and adjust the line after is has been placed.

@@Marvelousdesigner it helps! thank you!
Please note my mouse setting are set to the default right-click. However, when I select the edit pattern for cutting I do not see the CUT option.
I notice that shortcut keys are listed within the menus of this version. Do we know of anyway to enable that in 11?
In 2:41 which shortcut I have to click to go from curve to make a corner? Txs!
you stop holding / let go of the [CTRL] key. CTRL makes a curve point while the normal left click creates a segment point.
3:39 I cant find a button of show 2d texture which makes plane a bit transparent on 9.5 trial version
That button is moved to the 2D display options in version 9.5. You should see a cloth Icon in the 2D window. That is where the fabric transparency options have moved to
there is no unfold option when i right click so i have no idea how to do symmetrical editing

Also right clicking, simulation properties is almost always greyed out

@@Marvelousdesigner Thanks for the quick reply.
Is there a way to change CTRL Z from deleting all your points?
