I never appreciated this song when it was released. There was so much competition for your ears during this time. So much underground music to cover that you missed a lot of mainstream releases. I think this is one of their best released songs. It has this touch of heavy and gothy vibe that gives it that late 90s edge. It's amazing.
I loved it at the time, very different from Angel Dust, but this song and Stripsearch were great (though Album of the Year overall was a bit mixed. Mike Patton wanted to call it quits because the last two albums weren't good enough). Yeah, there was a lot of great music in the hard rock/alternative metal genre. Absolute drought now
FAITH NO MORE ARE AMAZING. They're all great. Billy rocks out on the bass like he did 20-30 years ago. Roddy on the keyboard is awesome. Mike on the drums is fantastic. Mike Patton on vocals is phenomenal. I mean seriously, what a band. They're still killing it like they always have.

as always they based it on quantity not quality
It's 2023 and i still hear this Song. Who else?
16/10/24 and still loving it.
You may be cool but you'll never be Mike Patton in a tux, singing Ashes to Ashes cool.
true
You may be cool, but you'll never be as cool as anyone in this clip.
The coolest of the fucking cool
Smooth. As. Fuck 🤘🤘🤘❤
Unless you're Mike Patton stirring a drink and doing a jig in evidence
the guitar solo is a minimalist geometric monument
Exactly! Beleive or not, me and my boyfriend have been realised the very same thing. Right now as we listened to it while read your comment. 🤩
@@bea6493 ha nice, its very unique responsibility to bring this solo there without killing the mood
Beautifully said!
This brings back both good memories and a feeling of melancholy. Awesome band. My fav as a teen.
I never appreciated this song when it was released. There was so much competition for your ears during this time. So much underground music to cover that you missed a lot of mainstream releases. I think this is one of their best released songs. It has this touch of heavy and gothy vibe that gives it that late 90s edge. It's amazing.
Only now finding this song and feel like I've just discovered fire! 🤣♥️♥️♥️
You fucked up but are now redeemed
@@ekulyarg lol, I sure did.
One off the most great voices
I loved it at the time, very different from Angel Dust, but this song and Stripsearch were great (though Album of the Year overall was a bit mixed. Mike Patton wanted to call it quits because the last two albums weren't good enough).
Yeah, there was a lot of great music in the hard rock/alternative metal genre. Absolute drought now
Mike Patton is the best singer ever. Every song is a time capsule, and utterly unique.
Cracking song, sounds fresh 25 years later
FAITH NO MORE ARE AMAZING. They're all great. Billy rocks out on the bass like he did 20-30 years ago. Roddy on the keyboard is awesome. Mike on the drums is fantastic. Mike Patton on vocals is phenomenal. I mean seriously, what a band. They're still killing it like they always have.
who's on guitar?
One of the most underrated songs and vocals of the 90s.
i love how he cries "i see u"
My youth. When music meant something..
Faith No More is the most underrated band of the 90's!!!
Best band ever. Creative, always evolving without loosing its signature sound. Live stage animals. And Patton is just brilliant in every way. Watched 3 times live. What a blessing
Totally agree
This song slays. I keep borrowing my brother's car when he is out of town so I can listen to this song surrounded by his kick ass car speakers.
Super funny. Nice.made me laugh out loud
Mike's voice was never better than in this song - saw it live and he hit those notes like a maestro! And he's freakin hot AF!!!!!!!!!!!!
The melody of this song has been stuck in my head for the past 25 years but I had no idea what the song title was or who recorded it until I stumbled across it today.
I just found the sheet music. Should be fun putting it on my DAW
This is their best track, their other stuff is great but this is so dark and his vocals are crazy in this one. Love it.
This song is an absolute anthem! That chorus is is the definition of majestic.
I absolutely love that FNM is not about love songs; they seem more about RELATIONSHIP songs. (Bad or messed up) Or dealing with songs. THANK YOU.
Mike Patton is so good-looking and his voice is so incredible!
Ive been listening for 20 years and still love every almost every single song they ever put out. Mike is delicious...to this day gets me every time. 🥰
I know he is fucking GORGEOUS ❤❤❤
Agree 100%!
And the best part is that he didn't believe that, in that he wasn't arrogant.
But someone or something kept him in check and purposefully held him back in those type of ways..
😳
My neighbors love this song!
They HAVE TO.... RIGHT.....👍
Still my all time favorite Faith No More song
My two favourite FNM songs are this and From Out of Nowhere.
I concur
Love Faith No more for 30yr +. Why are they not in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.
Porque ya meten a cualquiera en esa lista sin ser rock.... 😡
One of their best songs, epic goosebumps... It has got a nice touch of "007" , meaning: It would make a perfect James Bond Theme!
Patton has special "taste" and his dishes are a fine palette that fits with "us" its why not many can appreciate or enjoy a lot of things, cheers to all the fans who enjoy the excellent cuts, the juicy, the prepared with pride pieces🍸😘👌
What a voice.....
This song is just perfection, musically and vocally, enough said!
Mike Patton is 4x4 ..bestial vocals...el mejor sin vueltas y un tipo humilde..
Sitting drinking som wine and listening to one of my favourite groups back in my youth. Love it and Mike Patton looking good!🍷✊😎
One of my favorite songs, the ambient solo still grabs me.
Wine in hand, Faith No More playing, can't wait to get out of lockdown.
They deserves a induction to rock and roll hall of fame!
After we gets bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest for sure
@@endriu55 I was trying to give some names that deserve to go in and they were some of the names that comes to mind. Well, you can say a couple other bands in the Hall of Fame like J Geils Band or even Carolie King. That is all, you have your opinion, and I have a opinion on who deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, but you are right on music theory as I was thinking of names who shape music from the impacts they made in the industry as a whole.
I wasn't putting them down, I want them in before Faith No More but as a Faith No More should be in there too.
ok then
This is probably one of my favorite songs by them. We really did have some of the best music growing up in the 80's and 90's.
Shear perfection. I never get bored of this track.
This song gets me the Chills every time i hear it..
I’ve seen these guys twice back in the day n they still get better
aged extremely well musically...visually...well done mate...rare
Love this song. Just catches me right.
Lyrics
I want them to know, it's me
It's on my head
I'll point the finger at me
It's on my head
Give it all to you, then I'll be closer
Smiling with the mouth of the ocean
And I'll wave to you with the arms of the mountain
I'll see you
I will let you shout no more
It's on my head (It's on my head)
I'll pick you up from the floor
It's on my head (It's on my head)
I'll let you even the score
It's on my head (It's on my head)
Give it all to you, then I'll be closer
Smiling with the mouth of the ocean
And I'll wave to you with the arms of the mountain
I'll see you
Give the same to me, then I'll be closer, closer
Give the same to me, then I'll be closer, closer
Smiling with the mouth of the ocean
And I'll wave to you with the arms of the mountain
Give the same to me, then I'll be closer, closer
Give the same to me, then I'll be closer, closer
Briliant ! I searched Bowie's ashes to ashes an encountered this master piece 👍.. this is even better than that
Listen to them doing the cover of Easy from the commodores, phenomenal!!
This band is so diverse it has changed music forever. Congrats faith no more. Truly a rarity in this world.
I have had this stuck in my head for about 3 months now and I don't even care.
It's sooooo good!!!!
This band has really helped me during the lowest points of my life.
this song just hits you in the FEELS
As a 90s kid i agree!!! Best generation for music. So proud i lived through it such memories
Great stuff...👍
"Give it all to you
Then I'll be closer
Smiling with the mouth of the ocean
And I'll wave to you with the arms of the mountain
I'll see you..."
Front man is wickedly handsome! 😏
Mike .. this voice
Benoît Placide yes Mike Patton!! 😊
Benoît Placide Hey your voice is similar to his' actually haha=) cool cool cool!
Thanx i don t know .... thanx thanx .. but i don t sing like him
This song is a beautiful masterpiece. Just the perfect balance of harmonic parts with things getting heavy and kicking into full gear with the chorus. First time I heard said chorus, I was mesmerized. It really showcased what a talented band they are as a whole.
Patton reigns supreme in his ability to control his voice, goodness, he is a mad genius who still sounds every bit as good as he did when this song first came out.
I never stop loving this song from decades
