The change from B major to heavy riffing in C sharp minor is very stylishly done. It changes the direction of the song - from pretty upbeat and dreamy to very dark - without sounding forced or dissonant. Superb musicians. Overall, it is surely one of their best songs.

    This song. Patton’s multi tonalities.
The chord choices. The brutal in your face drum mix. The bass syncopation and key pads.
And this video to go with it. It’s one of the most gorgeous things ever created in the history of things that have been made.

Would love to see Patton play the lead in a movie or series, he has said he never took voice lessons but his vocal range is incredible… I think it would be the same with acting, Love Mr Bungle!

He was in the 2005 movie Firecracker! It’s free on TH-cam. Be warned; he plays 2 _very_ awful characters. Does a great job, but content warning for abuse and rape.

This song gives me goosebumps...then the video doubly so. Brilliant filming and editing. How we see something one way and make an assumption only to learn we really knew nothing at all.

I don't know why this song and this film clip have stuck with me so many years later. I first saw this as a kid in my mid teens and as a man in his 40s, it still resides in my mind.

When Mike sees the guard’s expression of shock and turns around to find he’s been caught. His acting here is pretty good.
