Is the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS the ULTIMATE Porsche driver's car? Well, it’s time to find out!
You see, when you look at the stats on paper, it seems like the GT4 RS could easily be the best Porsche ever produced. Under the bonnet, you’ll find a 4-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six (no surprise there). However, unlike in the regular GT4, this is the same engine taken from the GT3, and as a result, it puts out 500hp & 450Nm of torque! What’s more, it also revs to a glorious 9,000RPM… ❤️
But of course, there’s still so much more to talk about! When it comes to the design, there are a number of changes over the regular Cayman & the GT4, from a carbon fibre bonnet & front splitter up top, to additional vents down the side and a massive carbon fibre at the back!
Once you step inside, there’s Alcantara found throughout, although the infotainment system still isn’t the best… But then again, when you’ve got 9000RPM, who cares about the stereo!
It costs from £108k, and the car we’ve got here costs £131k! But surely it’s got to be worth it, right?! You’ll have to stick with Mat to see for yourself!

Hands down the best review. Everyone else just did a track test and spent 5 mins saying how glory it is for the price when no one can get the car at MSRP.

Here in Europe it’s illegal to sell a new car above MSRP so we don’t have that worry. The downside is that we actually can’t buy the car because our % of build allocations vs customer orders is very low (about 1 in 30 vs 1 in 8 in the US assuming Porsche’s usual RS pattern). This means that Americans will typically pay around 75% more for a GT4RS but have a 400% greater chance of getting one. Which is why California is overrun with GT model Porsches!
That's a monster. The launch is so aggressive! Most cars only launch at around 3.5k. Love this car.

I'd say for these petrol high performance cars let them just go all out on how expensive can these be as long as they put appealing values like enjoyable and memorable driving experience however these manufacturers are doing that unique to their own styles
£500,000 is the max until i personally start complaining the price hike trend has went way too far
@SteveNL retail price is irrelevant..when you can see one available, it will be £300,000

I love😍😍 the new Cayman GT4 RS, what's an absolute beast. Such an incredible car. The design looks awesome with all the carbon fiber treatment, the rear wing from GT3. The overall stands of the car is pretty mean and aggressive 👍👍. Then thier is that 4 litter flat 6 engine Engine. It sounds absolutely Savage, one of the best sounding engines ever. This Cayman GT4 RS is great package. What a car 😁😁😁. Nice review 👍👍👍👍.

What I really back about this pack is that you get both harness AND seatbelts. So when you're cruising to the track you can use the reguler seatbelts and when you're on it you can strap yourself into the chair... I actually like it.

Great video Matt. FYI, noticed your suction cup camera mount. If you want to capture the best footage angle I use the RoadSpy RS1 on my Cayman. Way way better than those suction cups.

This shows the superiority of the naturally aspirated engine (ideally coupled onto a manual transmission) located in the middle of the car, Cayman GT4 RS is the Porsche that evokes emotions!
No no no no.... Just forget this dumb "manual transmission mimimimi"!
There just isn't a "ideally coupled onto a manual transmission" thing with the Porsche 718 GT4 RS, because the PDK is the absolute perfect transmission for this already legendary race car for the road. It's the fastest shifting transmission on this planet and you can even shift it with the stick on the middle console, just like a sequential transmission. For a 2022 super sports car this is quite unique!
A manual transmission in this car would be totally irrelevant, because the GT4 RS would be way too fast for a manual transmission.

@@roikiller762 wow... it's not like the GT4 RS is the little brother of the GT3 RS and GT2 RS, the mid-engine concept is better than the rear engine, of course Porsche wants it to stay smaller, but if you modify the GT4 RS it will be faster.. much faster :D

It doesn’t even matter if you had the money..you have to be on Porsches special list which means you have to be buying at least 5 cars off them a year and trading it back in to them. I went to 2 local Porsche dealers to buy one and they just laughed and said no chance. Between the 2 dealers, they said they might possibly get 1 car.

Average person rarely encounters this sounds on the street. What they hear though are the masses of economy boxes idling and accelerating. So getting them silent and locally clean is a benefit for everyone
