That was one of the best, if not the best launch control sound tracks I've ever heard.
"Just taking the piss here..." 🤣 This is what I love about your reviews Paul! I'm glad I put my headphones on, because the engine sounds unbelievably in-sane! What an amazing speed machine! Thanks Paul!
I want the reverse tests to include a Jim Rockford J-turn from now on
I was half expecting a J turn😂
That name is a blast from the past 👌👌
What a car, especially in this day and age. The sound alone👌
Totally agree, dont care how fast EVs become, they will NEVER match this kind of raw experience. Adrenaline pumping. Just look at Pauls face @25:35
Absolutely, nothing beats that engine note, love those diwnshifts
I completely agree with your statement. I believe that true cars are powered by gasoline rather than electricity, and the reason is that electric cars produce a buzzing sound while gasoline cars produce a roaring sound like a beast. You are truly an amazing person who loves cars.
That was a brilliant review Paul, could really feel how you were loving the experience! 💥
No electric car will ever give this kind of excitement. Great video as always.
The Rimac Nevera will….and then some. But yeah, not for the price.
@@CU-nz9ud Definitely not for the price. But still, electric cars just don’t do it. Not for me anyway.
@@CU-nz9ud way off mark. I’d never swap my GT4RS for a Nevera
@@Nord_Mann Then you haven’t seen it reviewed then. My reply wasn’t about swapping your Porsche, just that electric can be exciting as well.
@@CU-nz9ud a silent car? Nope
Nothing beats that engine note, it's not all about 0 to 100 times.
Paul faces when he launched the cars always gets me 😂
Nice bit! It’s clear you down ALOT of time with your research and relationship with the vehicle.
Your on my watchlist now.
Cheers from the US.
always worth to spend my time on this channel.
Great review Paul, what a car! The sound is amazing
You have the best job in the world man . Your joy brings me joy . You feel what we all would feel 👌🔥
What a beauty,Thanks for the review Paul
Great review, especially the sound! I get a huge grin driving my 981 GTS, so I understand what got you buzzing so much. Loved the reverse gear insanity too.
Absolutely love mine and had 4 track days already
I enjoyed that review Paul - your smile says it all. I have a deposit on one - fingers crossed I’ll get an allocation.
I’ve got a 4RS coming in late august, and I just wanted to take a second and thank you for the level of detail mentioned in this video regarding basic daily normal driving. You’ve earned yourself a subscriber!
Random question if you dont mind, what do you work with and how did you afford it?
Best episode ever Paul. 🤜🤛
Paul this was the best reverse test yet. I love that you held it to the limiter in reverse to get that speed. (can't wait for mine to get here!)
And the traction control came on 😂
damn bro howd u afford this and the M2? I need to know
Hi Paul. A great review. I am one of the fortunate few that do have one of these cars in my garage, however I love to drive it, which means I do drive it as often as I can. Everything about this car is why I love driving… the looks, the sounds, and the handling. It is the perfect package (according to me). I have however found one major problem with the car… …every time I return home and get out of the car, I just want to get straight back in it and go for another drive. It’s just so damn addictive.
I absolutely love it & I am definitely going to own or at least drive 1 in my lifetime. Great review as always 😃
You really should do the Porsche Track Experience, if you haven't already.
I hope you have the chance to review the GT2RS in the near future!
This is a masterpiece of a car, well done with the great review.
My ultimate Porsche will always be a 964 Turbo
Awesome review.
Good stuff starts at 00:01…as in all of Paul’s reviews 👍👌
I don't think I've ever seen a reverse test before...very impressive!
Awesome car, awesome review 🏆 The sound reminds me of the first gen Honda B16a engines back in late 80s ✌️👑
Never get bored watching your reviews while having lunch 😅
Good in-depth review for the everyman
This video should have been named "Paul has his best car review ever!". :D
i love that you have a chapter for practicality on a $300 000 + car.
Petrol heads live for the sound. Luved it. Thx Paul.
a dream car well explained.
That engine sound!!!
The side duct on the side window looks so good!
Could never get tired of listening to that flat 6 hit 9000rpm.....everytime!
I love how you are enjoying the drive. It puts smile on my face. Thank you and well done 👍
Those rev match noise is just awesome
Just about perfect for a sports car. Fast, but not too fast. Amazing handling and a great sound. Only issue is that price!
How fast do you have to go before you would call it 'too fast'?
Anything that does 10 second quarters or faster I find to be above my “average ish” skill level on road or track. Gt4 RS is on the cusp.
While you were standing there, Paul, talking about this car, all I could think of is if cars could talk it'd be saying "Come On, Let's GOOOOOO"!!!!
This is such an amazing car ❤️ I love Porsche for doing this! ❤️ This 982 Chassis and that MA2.75 engine is just a killer combination! 🧐🔥
I would love for the suspension to be softer because it looks very hard in the video (or for there to be a softer, road going version of this car with this engine) but this one of the best cars of our era 🧐
Loving mine, not the best daily but great weekender, first track day later this month
Do u have instagram bud?
I'ma be real, I just have a 718 GTS 4.0 and it's so insane that this is now my dream car. I used to really want a GT3 or GT3RS, but man.. I love my 718 GTS 4.0 SO MUCH, I don't think I'll ever get a 911.
Cool review. The front vent in front of the top bonnet is not for cooling it’s for aero as well.
Hi There Paul, Would be great to see a Video on the Toyota Camry 2023 or 2022. Cheers
Can you do a TTRS review if possible?
Porsche, the ultimate.... nothing better. 🤤
that is epic
I need one asap 😜👌🏼
I'd go for the Raptor. Also, we need to see some J-turn tests as part of the reviews 😉
Porsche is the absolute best
Awesome review. Porsche owe you an invitation to the factory
Seriously - listening to the car and watching your face on launch makes me cry with laughter!!!!!! Gawd, it sounds HORN!!!!!!🥰
🙌🙌
You know the car’s a rocket when it comes with a fire extinguisher
Will Chris Atkinson do a lap time around QR in this ?
What a machine
Paul, ever heard of the Dodge M4S? Old timer car.
I just bought this car … there are no words to describe how incredible it is … all I think about when not driving it is when I’ll drive it next
Where is the off road section in this video?
wow another Porsche, cant wait to watch your review of Porsche Maus
Pretty funny having a press car for a model that was sold out before it was even announced. Gotta love Porsche.
Great review. Any Cayman is an awesome drive. I would take PDK because of launch control. Heck even in my base 981 PDK launch control is so much fun. However I couldn’t live with no front sensors as the system on my car works so well. I would consider upgrading a base 718 if sound wasn’t an issue or a GT4. There are some awesome examples at the moment close to GT3 performance . If I was ordering the GT4 RS I would get the R spec tyre option even if supply was an issue. However I would prefer TrofeoR as these are reasonable if you encounter any wet or damp sections of road. Love how they retained the cup holders.
Is it just me or is anyone else getting ads right at the door test every video?😂
Yes he does. It’s like noise or bang or something in every of cars.
Because it’s review.
Every single time😂 it's a clever way to keep you engaged
Yep
So Paul if you had that money what would you be buying?
this just cured my depression
Who needs music when the engine sounds like this!
Paul is enjoying his day in the ' office '.😅
Watched it twice.. when you get it to 9k yesssss
30:46 Paul’s face at this point…. 😂
I appreciate *why* you had to wear two seatbelts. But it's still absolutely hilarious to see.
Gentian Blue all day. If I was spending over 350K I'd have no issue spending another 6 fort that colour. Perfect balance between light and navy blue, just right.
Love this review Paul, as much as we admire sportscars we should also know how practical are they before we buy them
I'll make the kids dinner 🍽 later 😁
😂😂
I'll watch it tomorrow. I don't want to drive speeding tonight 😅
The only time I've seen Paul's face is driving this and also the Lexus LC500.
28:23 PDK jumps 5 gears in less than a second... Absolutely Insane!!
my cvt does the same thing 😂 and its 300k less
9K RPM! WOW!
That particular type of Schroth harness is specifically designed for use with SIMPSON/HANS device. Also the seat belt warning goes off automatically after a minute or so. 9000 RPM rev limit has been around since 2014 in 991.1 GT3 and onwards 991.2 GT3 (moved to shimmed engine), 991.2 GT3 RS, 992 GT3 and 992 GT3 RS. The gearing and PDK programming is from the 991.2 GT3 RS. The six best mainstream hard tops Porsche have produced are the 981 GTS (with PTV), 981 GT4, 982 718 GTS, 718 GT4 RS, 996.2 GT3 and 991.2 GT3 RS. Note four of those have between 335BHP and 395BHP and all are NA. The best ragtops Porsche have produced are the 981 Boxster GTS (with PTV), 718 Boxster GTS and 718 Spyder. All three ragtops are NA. Out of eleven cars listed only 2 are 911s. 😇
It goes away after 30 seconds and it’s designed to use with a SCHROTH HANS. Fits perfectly. Not sure why they’d design it to work with another brand?
@@kidomark3819 That specific Schroth harness is designed to use with any HANS or Simpson system - the Simpson system is by far the best and safest as it allows sideways movement for better visibility and it also protects for side to side movement as well as front to back. Harnesses have to meet a variety of specification as do head and neck restraint systems in order to be used in Motorsport. The point being a schroth belt system that is designed be used with a HANS device really shouldn’t be used in isolation. The wide belts can be used in isolation but are a pita to use with HANS devices. The chime is gone in less than the time it takes to do a warm up lap, it’s sufficiently irritating it should be possible to kill it altogether.
@@VK6AB- didn’t know you’re the lead investigator at the FIA for HANS.
You can’t hear it with the air intake and a helmet on anyways.
@@kidomark3819 Well mate, you have one head - its up to you to know/learn how to protect it. I bothered to post some information that has relevance to safety because I have been heavily involved in various types of motorsport for a long time - I could post the set up angles and recommendations for cross over depending on bar distance from shoulder. But sounds like you want to find out the hard way. Good luck enjoy the car.
When i opened the video, seeing you standing infront of it, comparing you to the car size, wondering if you will fit in there
.
I think that’s the first time I heard you say “OH MY GOD” 😅 I thought you had a orgasm when you tested and timed the car. I laughed at your faces lol
It will take your crew a week to get the smile off your face, what a noise 👍.
You can get an allocation if you write a suitably grovelling letter to the MD of Porsche Australia. And have the money of course.
Dream car this one ❤
What’s the name of the color?
Please review new Mahindra Scorpio-N plz
I'll be driving ICE to the very end. It's very hard to match the mechanical symphony such as 9000rpm on an NA Flat 6.
The review for when I win the lottery...one day Porsche....one day.
I would have got one, but the rear view camera just isnt clear enough
That's why I got a Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut instead
Hi Paul, I'm not buying a GT4 RS and instead will purchase a 2007 Toyota corolla. The reason is that the toyota is $3000 while the GR4 RS is 400,000, just outside my price range.
If I drove that beast, I wouldn't be able to stand for a good 20 mins 😂
Looks like the launch made u jazz your pants 😂
Ahhh, I think I'll look real cool if this was my daily!!!
Insane
THANKS FOR LIKING MY COMMENT ILY
Hi Paul! I'm a bit of a function-over-form guy, so I'd be buying a regular GT4 instead. Manual transmission, sure the engine isn't as insane, but it still revs to like 8000... GT3 and GT4 offer the best balance between road and track car. I like to have the fantasy of having enough money for one of these one day, and I think the GT4 RS just goes too insane in the quest for lap-times. Like, if I had the money, I just don't see the point in paying the exorbitant amount for an essentially track-only car. Race cars should be your own, really your own, like the ones they build on Gears and Gasoline. Just my opinion, I'm just a guy.
The gt4rs will be the most sort after in a couple years. Best investment
I’ve driven pretty much anything from Porsche 912, via Tesla Plaid and every generation 911 Turbo to Ferrari SF90 Stradale and can testify that nothing comes close to the insanity of the GT4RS. It’s not the fastest, most tech laden or most expensive car out there, but it’s the most insane one. Nothing comes close. The normal GT4 didn’t really get me going, especially the 718 GT4. The GT4RS makes the 992GT3 just feel plain boring. I’ll reserve judgement of the 992GT3RS until I’ve driven it, but I know for a fact it’ll not sound as good as the GT4RS, and I suspect the trick aero and underpinnings take away much of the playfulness and courage you need to drive the GT4RS.
It’s already a classic and will be a good investment.
$18k for special paint = 'Fairly expensive' - such a polite guy! 😂
'veyy --- sa -- gghhh' haha
If i win the lotto, this is my track toy. hands down
Will be flipped by the allocators for a big premium
I know two owners. They have both said NEVER sell. And they are both using them on track. Others will flip, but not every owner.
Need more owners like this
Best
A Porsche with a skirt lifter, that’s handy.
Porsche is 100% the best-performance company
Why the map is all white?
It was set to “snow mode”
A supercar for the road you say? :p
