Played SF6 and could swear something was off. I couldn't pull off combos like I easily could in SFV. Thanks for validating my experience. I was starting to feel crazy!
You can turn it on or off on the character select screen, just press Start button to open control options in the character select screen and turn it off.
I find this really useful for buffering supers. I play Dee Jay and his Lvl 3 has a hitbox that makes it really good for anti-airing. If I thin my opponent is going to try to jump I can hold down a punch button and just wait. If I see the jump in I can quickly rock the analog stick back and fourth and release the button and their toast.
I just wanna ask if their is any way to do inputs like sonic boom for guile or the ball attack for Blanca easier because I keep getting the wrong attack when I do it, any advice for this.
Get the timing for the charge down in your head, then release the stick in the direction and press whatever attack button at the same time. There's a bottle chopping mini-game in World Tour mode that helps a ton with getting the timing and inputs down.

@@MetalMusicMan Also thank so much for this video. Decided to experiment with it being on on Ryu's second last combo trial and it felt substantially easier to pull off versus having it off. Ended up completing his final trial just now and moving onto Kens.

The menus are truly the worst part of the game. Half of the effort is digging through them.
