Tommy Aldridge IS one of the top drummers of All Time.. I was lucky enough to see him with the Pat Travers Band and Ozzy. Thanks for this Great footage!
Most Definitely an UNDERRATED DRUMMER!Tommy is on SO MANY Recordings!Tommy is an Influence to Myself as a Drummer!.In My Top 5 of All Time.Love This Man for Contributing to Mine and So Many other Generations of not Only Drummers, but Also to the Music Industry!!!🤘
@@jackwilczynski6957what? Tommy shaves his head every few years and plays 45 minute drum solos then grows it back and goes back to the 10 minute mark close to what he's doing in this video
What an animal. Aldridge's solos didn't have much variety from version to version but you have to hand it to him....he was a machine from a consistency standpoint. Professionalism defined.
I agree with twotontessie, cause he's had the same basic solo for years, but has always kept it super solid and added little things here and there to make it a little different, but still an awesome solo.
Some of Lee's techniques came from Aldridge. Lee admitted that Bonham and Aldridge were 2 of his biggest inspirations. As for Tommy not being a human, on stage he may not look like it, but off stage, he is an chilled and incredible man, and does so much for people and the community he lives in.
I remember as a young drummer and Pat Travers, Go For What You Know live album dropped, set a high bar for double kick performance. A spectacular show!! His playing on White Snake live album is just about the best rock drumming you gonna see and hear. Aldridge is legend !
I think he left, then Carmine Appice came in the band, he recorded “ bark at the moon” then he got in a fight with Sharon, he left the tour, and they called back Tommy to finish the tour. Lol.
Underrated? Maybe for you, anybody who played a bit of drums, and is aware of what’s going on in the music world for the last 50 years, know the guy, and are fully knowledgeable of his talent. You don’t get a 50 years career by being underrated.
@@pascaldeslongchampsmoncton1490 yeah I meant exactly what I said he's underrated the three drummers I just mentioned are household names Tommy is not but he's better than all of of those I mentioned you might need to look up the definition for underrated it's actually a nice compliment is saying how good somebody is and more people should notice like I said there's 20 more rock drummers who are bigger than he is but shouldn't be because he's better
Peter Criss was/is horrible IMO. The only semi good thing he gave to the public was Beth, and comically, that didn't even involve drums LMAO. I do however miss Eric Carr.
so many metal drummers owe SO MUCH to this guy.
man im just finding out about him somehow and its a damn shame
1000%
Sharon fired him. Shame man!
Such a shame Aldridge doesn’t get a lot of the recognition that he truly deserves. He is a badass drummer!
Amen
Yes sir,and he’s still here kicking ass in 2023.A true drumming beast.
True hard rock double bass pioneer.
this guy played the drums in half the concerts iv'e been to.
Totally
Mr arena rock drummer
One of THE greatest rock drummers to ever walk planet earth...Tommy Aldridge.

Never seen a drummer plays with his palms!!!
Huh? Joe Morello John Bonham
@@Ewok009Desi Arnez. Drums are drums.
John Bonham also did that. So cool.
he is 70 years old and still plays this way today!!! super human endurance and technique
I saw him in 1972 with Black Oak Arkansas.
Was way ahead of his time - outclassed that band so badly...

Number one drummer of all time
Gadd and Aldridge totally owned this early Yamaha Recording sound.
Like Mikkey Dee, he´s playing nearly the same solo year after year BUT it´s a GREAT solo so why not? Love him!
what happened to Andrae? Truth!...lol
Same thing with the hair, all you see in their solos is the head of hair flying around.
@@jackwilczynski6957what? Tommy shaves his head every few years and plays 45 minute drum solos then grows it back and goes back to the 10 minute mark close to what he's doing in this video
A quintessential rock drummer if there ever was one! Remembering from a concert when he played for Pat Travers.
I remember a bare handed solo
Beast....one of my favorites
What an animal. Aldridge's solos didn't have much variety from version to version but you have to hand it to him....he was a machine from a consistency standpoint. Professionalism defined.
Very much so, and it's paid off in the longevity of his career. Still going strong!
My favorite Aldridge is on Speak of the Devil. It sums up his style perfectly.
Tommy is a beast on drums. My all-time favorite drummer.
This dude brings a lunch box to every gig...all business
MONSTER!!! Saw him front row with Whitesnake in '88 and met him in '96. Rock royalty for sure and a nice guy
Truly one of, and still is the best ( 68 years old ) entertaining drummers of his time!!!!! Hey!!!! TOMMY!!!!!!! :)
Tommy is a monster drummer, seen this dude so many times in so many bands just beat the kit up and down
Rockforevermusic Me too, I've seen Tommy, with Ozzy twice, Pat Travers, Ted Nugent and Gary Moore.
Excellent beautiful amazing sublime inmortal the 80 amazing rules.. EL MAESTRO TOMMY ALDRIDGE. 🎼 🥁 🎵🎶💫
Fucking excellent!!!!
He's definitely a legend. I have seen he play with Ozzy and Black Oak Arkansas back in the 70s
Not the most technical drummer. But so much heart and soul in his playing. Love this guy.
Incredible drum solo!
His very good with the double bass drums. They sound like cannons going off , on the live Whitesnake albums
As a longtime drummer, the separation between his feet and hands was what really sold me on him.
He has became my favorite
I agree with twotontessie, cause he's had the same basic solo for years, but has always kept it super solid and added little things here and there to make it a little different, but still an awesome solo.
Basic ?? Can you play his double bass chops ??Where is your video ??
@@johnadams1715 yeah, listen to him at drumeo. His drum work is insane

Oh ! 1983! Lol! 🤘
Oh!!! 😂
I watched via Satellite the Old Skoll Giant Satt, It was Awesome!!!!!
My all time favorite drummer.
True God of the beat!!!
Ozzy looks less than impressed at being upstaged. I read that's why Sharon sacked Aldridge off the tour.
I was at US Festival...rode on a motorcycle from Idaho to the show 🤘🤘🤘
The year I was born. Wish I was old enough to attend this concert
i FN love that black Yamaha kit he played on this tour
TommyAldridge. Incredible Drummer !!
GREATEST DRUMMER EVER
power -speed and endurance to the max !!!
Brilliant 🥁
Tommy is the man,end of story
Holy horse that was amazing
top 5 all-time
Amazing!!! The "free-hand" part reminded me of John Bonham, but a bit more fast and violent.
A true hard rock drummer of there ever was one!
so where can i find footage of this video w/o some ones logo plastered right in the middle of it.kind of annoying.
Tommy is the successor to John bonham
Monster!!!
Awesome
Aldridge. Hero drummer !
God and I was only 2 when he did this!

Black Oak Arkansas, Pat Travers, at this point in Tommy's Career A 10 yr Concert Veteran on 🥁
…drum kit sees Tommy walking out…..oh no- we are all about to get hit, sticks or not….early and often….brace for impact….🤘😎
I'm Tommy Lee's fan. And I think Tommy Aldridge is not a human at all.
