I went to a reunion recently and met folks I hadn’t seen in 20 years. Most folks didn’t recognize me. When asked what I did to lose 45 pounds in 6 months, I just told them I stopped eating sugar and starches. If they were still curious,I just said watch hours of Dr. Berry’s videos. I can get preachy If I get more in depth, I am just too passionate about it.

Me too Mark. One can spend much time explaining fasting & the keto carnivore diet - especially if you're very passionate about it. Many people - even if they listen - don't absorb the good information enough to look into, much less follow the very healthy IF/keto/carni lifestyle.

Great interview.... started Keto the day I was diagnosed with cirrhosis that was in January. My Liver enzymes were very elevated my A1C was 5.7. As of last month liver enzymes are back to normal my A1C was 4.6 and Ive lost 65 lbs. My liver doctor said I was actually reversing the cirrhosis and platelet counts were perfect which is a good thing. I can say at this point Keto saved my life. Thanks to all the docs out there spreading the news to get off that low fat diet that doesn't work and to cut the carbs and sugar. I can go on but all good things.

She had aches and pains that have completely gone away. Her swollen legs and feet have either significantly improved, or gone away. She is loving this diet.

It’s funny. I just got on this video right before I left for church and as I was looking through Facebook a friend from WV, said her mother was experiencing sciatic pain. I told what causes mine and sent her this video! It’s so amazing how God works. Now if people would just listen, but most will not. So sad.

Hi Linda, what causes you sciatic, my sister suffers from sciatica lot

    • @Lindabraggketovore
      @Lindabraggketovore 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@dianelarpenteur637 my is caused from corn. I first realized it eating popcorn. So to make sure that what was doing it, I waited until it quit hurting, had some more popcorn and within an hour it came back. So that was the end of popcorn. I then tried regular corn on the cob several months later it did the same thing. So I eliminated all together. Corn syrup, corn fiber, corn starch all does it to me. So I have to watch and read all labels. They are putting it in almost all processed foods, even tomato juice and sauces in the cans. I have found it in processed meats like kelbosi, little wieners in packages, so I’ve eliminated all this foods. If this is t her problem, then it can also stem from high oxalate foods. Watch a video on Sally K Norton she was effected with high Oxalates which causes all kinds of inflammation in our bodies. Good luck. If this has helped please let me know. I was glad to find out what was causing mine. It also is being placed in ice cream we buy in the store, even Keto Ice Creams. Sad but true.

I just had my lab work done. My HDL was 94, Triglycerides 30, and HDL 148 and of course doctor did say it was high and I told her that’s because of my way of eating lots of meat and very low carbs. I was dehydrated some, but I figured that was because I had sat the night before my blood work in my infrared sauna and had been golfing 4 hours in the sun that day. I never thought about the infrared sauna maybe causing this until today. Also my thyroid number was up. I told my doctor that I had been drinking Ultima drink mix in my water which has natural flavors, not sure if that could cause any of this and told her I would get strict and not drink any of it and just water. We are going to recheck bloodwork in 6 months and in the time being I’m going to add my iodine drops in my water.

Speaking of Carnivore, in the mid 90's I encountered a guy named Dan Duchaine who, unfortunately, is no longer with us. However he wrote a book called "Underground Body Opus" . It is no longer in print but occasionally you can find it on Amazon or Ebay. So I started out weighing about 210, ideal lean weight is 180# for me, and ate meat, eggs, bacon, pork rinds, etc. No carbs at all. 5 days a week and then carbed up over the weekend. 5 days a week it was all carnivore. My body fat when I started was in the neighborhood of 30%. On this diet, in 90 days I weighed between 210 and 215 but I was at 7.5% body fat. Highly recommend the diet except one needs to take lots of fiber (1 tbsp with water 3X/day minimum). My experience was working out, primarily free weights, 3 to 4 times per week and drinking 3-6 liters of water per day. Too much fun!

Seriously, it’s a slow process but after decades of abusing my body with crap food, this awakening has changed my life. I've been leaning more and more towards a carnivore diet after watching Dr. Berry's videos. I've already benefitted from Keto, but I've apparently had MS for almost 30 years. It didn't become active until a very stressful period in 2014/2015. My neurologist said my symptoms before that weren't obvious. I'd had Bell's Palsy while training for what would become a 22-years in Christian radio. I had another bouts of the disorder shortly after my mother's sudden death...at the ripe age of 94...and resulting family conflicts.
On Easter Sunday of '15 I had the onset of Bell's Palsy, but with fatigue, balance, gait and other classic MS symptoms.
I'd learned about three years before that episode that I'm hypersensitive
...not allergic...to: dairy, wheat, gluten, eggs, egg whites, peanuts and almonds. I was off the charts hypersensitive and later learned that the sensitivities can lead to chronic inflammation, which worsens autoimmune disorders like mine...and Lupus and ulcerative colitis.
My native American heritage is apparently a factor which predisposed me to autoimmune disorders.
The medication Zeposia has helped keep my MS at bay, at the cost of dramatically reducing my lymphocytes and, hence, susceptibility to infections.
I plan to keep progressing towards carnivore to improve my immune system responses...reduce weight and also deal with a longtime mental condition.
    Blessings

Hi John, there's a really interesting documentary on yt from about 9 or 10 years ago about diagnosing and treating b12 deficiency. Some of the same symptoms you described can be from that and it often gets missed or is diagnosed as other things like dementia, ms, parkinsons, and other things. They discuss how the typical testing and ranges are incorrect and need to be changed across the board and list more specific tests and ranged needed.
My bet is that carnivore will help your levels of many things and just thought I'd mention the video in case it's something you'd like to watch and explore. There's also a book and . o* -r *g called "could it be b12". All the best! 🙏

Fat added to carnivore is key. I'm approx. 150 lbs. I aim for 1.2 lbs. of 80/20 fatty meat. I do Keto coffee, which adds 2T of butter or ghee. If I fry bacon I just use the bacon grease to fry eggs for lunch. There are 2 more Tbsp. of fat. Then if I have a rib eye or other steak I add 1 or 2 Tbsp. of butter to that. I stay in ketosis. I change up from day to day. Eating salmon one day and shrimp. Sardines on another day with real cod livers. Liver on another day (three weeks a month.) with a smaller steak with butter. My skin went from pucker to plush in one month!
