Yes! I just bought a 5.2 Ram, need it to sound like this!! Mine also has some type of flow on it. Sounds too airy. I want that rattle!😈 I'm going 3" duals!
I’m so glad I watched this they actually have people with a gasser instead of just Cummins 2nd gen I’m thinking about getting one that’s gas I wanted one for a long time
Not sure if your aware but if your straight pipe and if you let off the gas around 4K it sounds like a Jake break from a semi.. I have a 1999 5.2 5spd Dakota
It was a one in and 2 out I check several times cause I wanted to use that muffler on my suburban that was a 2 into 1 from the factory. It was my truck and muffler before my brother bought it. Thanks Jose! 😁
The before Flowmaster that has a bean can on it it was actually set up for both exhaust coming from the manifold down into 2 into 1 but they put the bean can on there because they only had a single pipe coming into a duel
He has stock headers to stock cats then he has a flow master and a bigger tip if u want to see the best exhaust on the 5.2/5.9 magnum u need to check out project dodge he has a 5.9 rt that sounds awesome
Josiah Johnson Vlogs I love that sound of popping when letting go of the gas. I have the same truck but instead of manual it's automatic in order for me to hear the popping come out the exhaust. I need to put it on 2 or 1 gear. Since your manual you have more fun with that truck I bet.
@@LoneWolf-McWeed probably not wrong. The most fun I've had is off road, this truck is a beast in the mud. I'll hopefully be making a video soonish of some performance and cosmetic upgrades that i've made.
@@Durangort-mo9ls No clue? First Gen Cummins 1989-1993. Second Gen Cummins 1994-2002 (including 12V and 24V engine options). Third Gen Cummins 2003-....you get the point. The "GEN" term was coined (perhaps on TurboDieselRegister) to discuss the Cummins models. It in NO WAY ever implied gas powered pickups or the pickup body style on it's own. Again...a second generation gasoline powered pickup would take you back to the 1920's-1930's when the second generation of Dodge gasoline powered pickups came out. How come nobody ever called a supposed "first gen" by that name from 1972 to 1988 when the Cummins was not an option? How's that for a clue? Think about that...NOBODY called them GEN anything until the Cummins engine came out and discussion boards had to differentiate between Cummins models based on bodystyle. I'm not knocking...I'm just trying to get owners some facts. This is the T300 body also called Phoenix by Dodge. You're free to call it whatever you want but the facts remain. I would like proof someone called a 1974 Dodge D100 a First Gen Dodge pickup in 1974....or 1988 for that matter. I'll be waiting. PS: The truck is beautiful and sounds great. I had a 99 Quad Cab ST trim 4x2 short bed 5 Speed Cummins in the same color red and interior. Miss that truck.
I have my muffler completely off on my 318. I freaking love it, for me its the smiles per gallon
The can part was the best
Disagree. The oil smoke when he starts it is the BEST
i know the video can only do so much justice, but that sounds beast I'd run it like this

Damn, makes me miss my 5.2 dakota. Talk about a fun truck
I’m about to pay off mine so I’m excited . I’m only 17 but I plan to keep it for a long time
The stock wheels and tires are cool....good combo....💪👍
That was an Original 40 muffler that was originally installed. Nice work, sounds a lot better.
KsKaylor thanks!
Another fellow ram owner with a popping exhaust like mine 👌👌
I run cat back(factory tubes) with it dumped at the end of the cab(single cab) with a 5.2 its loud but I enjoy it
I’m so glad I watched this they actually have people with a gasser instead of just Cummins 2nd gen I’m thinking about getting one that’s gas I wanted one for a long time
The gasser 2nd gens are extremely underrated, but the transmissions on the V8s and V6s are notoriously unreliable from factory
5 speed Manuel and your good, I’ve got about 280k so far and still using it for my daily driver
If you still got that beautiful beast consider trying a magnaflow oval 4x9 or 11 inch performance muffler. Single pipe actually sounds best (imo)
Gotta love the dash board. LMC truck has a replacement dash
Done, I need to make an updated vid
Sounds just like my tundra 4.7 v8. I got the same muffler
I wish my 2nd gen was manual

Jealous
Got the same truck but no standard :(
your truck is in mint condition
The flow master was on backward s it looks like two in to one muffler
Oscar Walton yup exactly its made for headers

Anyone got the part number? I can only find 2.5 in 2.5 out

Flow master super 40
Just got a 98. Same thing as u. Except 2x4 and black. Love the 5 speed but traffic sucks but I want to put a muffler on how’s the long run with it?
But I liked the bean can 🤩🥰🤣😂
Why not take beans can off
Shoulda woulda coulda at this point lol
How does it sound now ?
daniel quevedo sounds good👍🏼 haha I’ll make another video in the next couple months
What tip is on it?
I don’t remember exactly but I think it’s a 10” long by 4” I bought it at O’Reilly
Super 10 is king
Oil smoke when he starts it
Lmao 😂
what gen wheels are on that thing?
3rd gen I believe

Super cool babe!! I love your truck❤️
you have the muffler installed backwards
GARNER'S GARAGE lol if so it still sounds good👌

What kind AND size tire you got?
Carlos Guevara those are 265/70/r17s bfg KO2 with 3rd gen Ram wheels
Carlos Guevara I’m running 315/70/r17 ko2s now on the same wheel, but they rub a little.
Same crack on dash as mine 😂😂😂
Actually I think it was corn 🤔 cause I dont eat beans and im cheap so I didnt buy a miffler I used what I had 🤣😂
sounds the same to me
Dang I kinda like the bean can exhaust….jk
Got a 99 Dakota that’ll eat that for lunch
Cool dude 👌
@@josiahjohnsonvlogs2777 99 5.2 liter 5 speed lowered 3” drop spindles the advantage is in the corners that’s where the fun is anyway brother ✌🏻

This isn’t a Cummins diesel Dodge so it’s not a second gen. A gas second gen is probably a 1929 model or so.
Haha okay buddy 👍🏼
Hey buddy it is a second Gen smarty pants don’t say stuff when u have no clue what ur talking about

The term gen refers the the body style not what engine is in it
