Damn Taker broke his neck and he didn't even know that jeez
I kinda think, Taker is BS'ing with this story, i do. He' knows it was a shitty move by Vince to have him loose to Brock and this is a excuse not to talk about it in detail, yes he went to the Hospital but i think the not remembering story of the match is BS. He's also changed his story on Maven and the RR, He claimed on SCSA Broken Skull Session, Bruce came to him and told him about the spot in the RR with Maven and Taker said he looked at Bruce and said WTF but on your other Video he makes out he was ok with it
Love It CVVCLIPS Bro.
It's scary how concussions can have you legit lose your memories. I remember hearing how Bubba Ray got concussed so hard one time, he actually forgot about his mother's death and had to go through the pain of losing her all over again. Scary stuff...
That's all the illusion we call the past is. A memory fading as they can't be maintained forever.
@@ItApproachesdude what are you talking about. Get off the shrooms lol
@@ItApproachesthe past is what makes us "us."
@@Magneticlaw There is no "us", no "self". Does a character in a dream have a past? No, just some made up story to add believability.
Holy cow
Show how tough this man is. Wrestlers are just built differently.
Yeah I can relate
True. That’s why I hate when people say it’s fake. It’s just predetermined entertainment. But those bumps are real
If he doesn't remember it never happened he never lost so the streak is intact
He’d have had to lost his memories of losing to Roman Reigns at mania too for that to be the case
😂
LOL I agree! Undertaker never lost!
That's Devin Haney vibes 😅
Was gonna write this exact comment if it wasn’t already here. Woohoo for collective denial! 🥳🙌🏾
"Doc, I think I remember my name. It's The."
"The?"
"Yeah, The."
"The what?"
"The Undertaker"
Would have been interesting if he thought his name was The Undertaker, and if he was asking where's my brother Kane?
@@ItApproaches "Where's my Dad, Paul? We have a show to do tonight"

Dustin Rhodes: I'm UNDERUNDERUNDER... UNDERTAKER damn it
Reading it with the bell sound playing in my mind...
I was there. He 100% looked sluggish. People were saying it was because it was old and others were saying he had a concussion early on. When Taker lost some people left with the main event still to come.
looked it on t.v. too. thought he was getting to old didn't know he was hurt.
Was there too man. I couldn’t shake off how stunned I was with everything going on. I don’t even remember the divas match after. Lot of my concentration was also on people showing how angry they were and leaving. I even considered it
Taker and Brock at Wrestlemania and there was a main event above that? WHAT??
When Vince messes up he really messes up to break the streak. Massive mistake. And to let Brock break it. Even bigger mistake
@@No_name.0103it was when Daniel Bryan had his run. The main event was him vs Batista and Randy orton for the world heavy weight title after beating triple h
That's a real concussion. When your memory much prior to the impact is wiped, you are seriously hurt.
jesus, I had a stroke trying to read this.
@@ClassicTophatGaming I started reading the OP sentence and I legitimately started asking myself if I had dyslexia.

Fr, Brock didn't need it at all.
🥺
Same man, Bray or Roman needed that far more than Brock
Challenging for Undertaker's Wrestlemania Streak was better than having the world heavyweight title.🔥
Always...it was the greatest prize ever
Challenging the streak was always overshadowing all the main title matches of Raw n Smackdown. He was Wrestlemania itself, I will never enjoy it ever since he has retired.
Undertaker: "I had broken my neck at some point and didn't know that I had broken my neck..."
Kurt Angle: "OH, COME ON!"
It's true yes it's true
@@warsoprano2094it’s damn true
So underrated.
😂😂😂😂😂 I read the oh come on! In Kurt’s voice when he would say it on a promo
“Lazy?? I won an Olympic gold medal with a broken freaking neck!!” 😂😂😂
The fact that Mark was trying to cheat the concussion test is the funniest thing to me bc it's exactly the kind of thing my family would do too
Hahaha I tried doing that when I was in the hospital for severe withdrawals from alcohol. I knew they had my name up on the wall so the nurse kept putting my head forward to not cheat
God, hearing Taker's normal voice sounds so weird since I'm so used to hearing the voiced he'd do as 'The Deadman', but he just seems like a chill dude. Didn't think he'd be as funny as he was (not that concussions like this are funny, obviously).
Never watched his channel on YT?
Brock and Vince leaving mania for the hospital was my favorite part of this story
Brock does have a heart. When Roman Reigns had to take time off because of Leukemia. Roman revealed one of the first people that rang him up to check on him was Brock Lesnar. Goldberg when he returned a couple of years ago. He said he would only return for one match and it had to be Lesnar. Goldberg told Lesnar he wanted one more match for his son. Lesnar agreed. The Survivor series finish where Goldberg beat Lesnar. It was Lesnar who convinced Goldberg to do it for a bigger pay day on their next match.
Undertaker choked me out at Four Corners camping ground back in the early 80's in a creek match as kids lol
It's crazy how many times they went back and forth that week deciding if the streak was gonna be broken.
I didn't want it to be broken. Imagine 'Taker retires with that streak in tact. "I was able to retire as the only man never pinned at WrestleMania!" at his Hall of Fame speech. Would've been epic but they just had to have Lesnar break it and Lesnar is currently being deleted from the WWE due to the Vince scandal stuff
@@zeospark9715nobody wanted the steak to end! & I think a lot of people did wanted the streak to end with takers retirement
@@zeospark9715It should’ve been broken by someone up and coming. Imagine what that would’ve done for someone’s career that wasn’t already established. Personally I think it should’ve been Bray
Edit: I’m talking about pre Fiend Bray
@bretmclennan2147 A lot of people say that. I don’t agree. An up and comer didn’t deserve to end the streak. And RIP to Bray but he for sure did not deserve it. Shawn, Triple H, and Punk were the only ones who id make case for having earned it.
@@bretmclennan2147 just say bray the cult leader debut then yes bray should’ve broken it r.i.p indeed
Concussions are so damn scary. I remember falling off my bed as a little kid and I was jumping around like an idiot. I landed right on the back of my head, neck bent in, full body above my head, and I twisted over to fall. I remember lights, weird watery sound in my ears, and not understanding where I was. No pain, couldn't really feel anything. I remember checking my fingers and feet and could still move those and then I blinked and it was dinner time; I was sitting at the dinner table confused. My grandparents were like "are you ok? You've been really out of it this whole night" and I remember jumping on my bed at noon.
I finished my homework (half correct, half wrong after I went back to check my work). I literally had conversations with family. Can't remember anything at all during that time and after getting checked, found out it was a bad concussion but I'd make a full recovery. Thankfully, there were no complications, but I still get genuinely scared when I see anyone hit their head hard, especially in wrestling.
Idc what you say
He forgot pretty much the whole day and even himself but still remembered his wife

I was there live in person for that Mania, it was a virtual silence when the 3 count took place. Followed by a universal gasp when they displayed the 1 on the big screen. It wasn't a good night at all
I still refuse that match was meant to end like that
The only thing that saved that night as a whole, was the Daniel Bryan underdog story when he eventually overcame the Authority!
@@ChrisHoops305 vince really thought having Batista come back win the rumble and main event wrestlemania against Orton knowing how the fans felt about Bryan is definite proof he was out of touch

Not to mention he had no sense of reality on who to actually push for the fans...it's even funnier the year after was Roman, they somehow managed to have a worse winner after the year prior...
I don’t mind that the streak ended, it sucked that he had more mania matches after that. They had no point after he lost.
2:48 Wow, you can tell Taker’s holdin back tears.
I can relate because after a seizure they ask you questions you should know. It's frustrating because you don't know. It's like the lights are on but nobody's home.
Still BULLSHIT that they ended the streak.
💯
@user-ue3xb8tz1uThe streak ending was a literal decision. It could’ve and should’ve been forever intertwined with wrestlemania.
I used to think this, but if Mark is happy with it, then so am I.
in a way, I agree, but as has been said Brock didn't need it, but if said streak was to be broken, it should have been saved for Roman or Bray.
@@adekenyon would have been boo the musical 2.0 if that happend
It’s crazy how Much and how much detail he remembers after wrestling for 30 years.
I had always wondered what the truth behind the streak was: Whether it was Undertaker's request, or it was Vince's decision, or if an audible was called part of the way through the match.
... And honestly I'm still not sure from this interview. If Undertaker can't remember what happened *that entire day,* how do we know that the belief that the streak being broken was Vince's decision is correct? 🤔
I remember falling asleep during that match. That Wrestlemania was way too long.
Me too, but I ate a super large Philly cheese steak
The doctor:
Mark, Mark? You've had a very serious concussion Mark 🥺
Taker, grabbing the doctor by the collar:
No one breaks kayfabe until I do 🤬
Wish I could forget that the streak is no more. It never should have been broken. Glad taker is alright now though. It's crazy that he had broken his neck at some point and didn't even know it, and this is how he found out about it
Taker: What's my name?
Michelle: Hornswoggle
Easily the greatest entertainment category wrestler ever, was a privilege to have witnessed his performance on TV, deserves all the royalties and more from wwe
What a legend.
I really hate how the streak had to end 😢. And how that match was a let down for something so legendary on the line. I really wish Taker was going over instead of Vince changing it 30 mins before the match went on
It's not only us that got upset with lesnar ending the streak
Some superstars themselves, like kane for example, actually thought that the finish was botched, so the match's gonna be restarted
When he found out that the streak was broken for good, he became livid
that Moment is something you can never create again.
I got a little choked up when he said Brock and Vince rode to the hospital together.
31 years ago I was severely concussion in military to this day I can't remember that whole week prior and after the accident
Greatest of all time right there!
I was there when the streak was broken! My first Wrestlemania ever too! Still remember the shock and silence of the crowd.
Let me tell you something brother..Make a webseries on his career. With multiple sessions include all of his matches and life moments ups and downs.. he is a once in century athelete
He must have a strong neck to not realize it’s broken
If you’ve seen some of his interviews he’s had so many injuries, man’s probably had surgeries on his whole body
@@Absinthexx7 oh I’ve heard him talk about his injuries. The orbital sock injury is a popular video I’ve seen across TH-cam.
Probably wasn't a full break, just a partial.
I've heard the same thing happened to Buster Keaton.
He isn't the first wrestler, alot of them have found out after the fact they've broken their necks. It's one of those things where somehow you don't always realise/notice it's broken. Chalk up the issues from it to other injuries/wear and tear
3:22 It seems like professional wrestlers are the only people who say things like "I'd broken my neck at some point but I hadn't noticed."
It's insane he was able to finish the match and much credit to Brock for taking care of him out there
"what's my name"?
"Heisenberg"
Mae Young lol.

#UndertakerDeserveBetter
So, from Taker's literal perspective, he never lost the match. That would have been awesome if they asked what his name was and he said, "The Undertaker."
I remember the stare down the undertaker and brock had just before they started wrestling. I thought this was going to be declared a bad match on like Raw or smackdown or something because they never rung the bell at the beginning after that stare down. Meaning the match never officially began.
dawg I was there too and that screen originally flashed 22-0
Did the fans on TV saw that? I couldn’t remember. It’s been 10 years since I watched WrestleMania 30 on DVDs.
@@Cattail4546 i don't think so, I saw it super quick on one of the side screens
Incredible story, that was an incredible match. Glad taker is okay.

Big undertaker fan ❤
Hearing concussion stories are scary man! All i remember is chris benoit 😢
That's insanely dangerous. He could have forgotten his wife's name and all. Taker was such a lucky guy to have lived through that
I don't have memory except my tears . I forgot that match..and the other match ...the streak is still unbeaten \m/
Taker was definitely the toughest dude. Broken neck at some point and worked it off.
We'd ourselves wouldn't mind not remembering the Streak being broken rather than the Undertaker not remembering
Something similar happened to me when I was hit by a car. It was like I went to bed on Friday and somehow woke up in the hospital on Sunday. The mind and body are amazing!
Brock was the perfect guy . Just imagine Roman would ended the streak in WM 33 !!!!
I can’t help thinking that with concussion induced amnesia it would be ever more mind blowing to find out you are in fact….. The Undertaker 🪦
I still haven't watched that match. I don't think I'll ever watch that match.
Shows he lived and breathed the business

Man is a true ring legend. Will always be his yard.
I got concussed in a match and realized it when I asked how the match was for the fourth time acting like it was the first. Another time I had to ask what town we were in. Concussions are a bitch and scary as hell.
So, you're telling me that not only the guy that broke the streak might never be mentioned by wwe again because of the vince lawsuit, but undertaker doesn't even remember the moment? Such a big part of what he was he doesn't have an emotional memory or doesn't even know how he was feeling at the moment. Man everything about the streak being broke sucks
That’s my brain on lack of sleep 😂
Imagine being the doctor in the ER and the undertaker shows up 😂
It was like Vince basically slapping the legacy of the undertaker away in one night.

Glad Brock lesnar Beat the streak. He was the Right Choice
I wish we forgot the memory of 21-1.......
But I'm glad Undertaker was okay with what after WM30
Watch the ending again and that expression on the Ebony gentleman's face in the front row said it all.
I always wished they would’ve called in audible and had Taker win that night. Hindsight Bray should’ve broken the streak the next year.
Undertaker should join judgement day as their manager
Wrong person to beat the streak. Look where that guy is now 😂
I’m more shocked when someone DOESN’T kick out of a finish.
I got concussed at work and drove past my house and thirty miles on to my childhood home. Luckily the people who bought my parent's house knew me.
I watched that match live and I remember how little offense Taker was giving back to Brock. I recall thinking to myself how was Taker going pull out this win. Never once did I think to myself wow Brock might beat the streak tonight!
Vince is such a loser for even doing this
That part about Vince and Brock really meant something to him
your the best mark 🙌🙌🙌👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Undertaker Character:- ☠️💀
Undertaker Personality:- 🤗🤗
I am reminded of my serious head injury as a teenager, when the nurse asked my name (I knew), the date (I was off by 3 days), and if I knew her name ("I've never seen you before in my life").😮
It’s not fair they changed the ending last minute and to Brock of all people
Brock deserved that so gtfo. Im Glad that Brock won .!
To this day I feel like the streak should have never been broken but Vince has to show that no one person is bigger than the wwe in his mind and weird way of thinking. The streak made you excited for Wrestlemania every year. Wrestlemania kind of lost some of its luster after that.
Can't believe it's 10 years now
Between his neck and his shoulder I wonder what state of constant pain that man has to be in to not notice when something goes.
Pro wrestlers have the best stories
I didn’t know Taker was a 9ers fan. Dope😎
After making him loose the streak id wanna forget too😢
I've always wished and still do, the streak should've ended with Bray Wyatt.
while brock didn't 'need' to beat the streak, he used it well, becoming 'super brock' for a number of years until the booking committee dragged him back down to earth. it led to the john cena squash match at the following summerslam at a time when john cena had never been squashed like that before
I remember watching that WM in a packed movie theater. 3 people made noise; the rest - Silent.
Ending the streak was one of the stupidest "creative" things ever.
I agree the fact that you had demand who likes to call people bitches defending the streak, has to be one of the stupidest things I ever heard
Facts never made sense
Ending the streak wasn’t the issue. It was having someone who was already super over and established being the one to end it. Undertaker is on record saying that Bray Wyatt ending the streak would have been “spiritual”. Brock didn’t need ending the streak on his resume.
@@keithjones5096I would've preferred Bray but Brock makes sense.
@@fscorpion678 not really. What does ending the streak do for Brock? If Bray ends the streak it opens up limitless doors for his character and allows him to take the next step in his career. Bray now has the opportunity to take up Undertaker’s mantle.
I’m betting I remember the moment. I went back and watched it. It’s the moment when Brock and taker are outside of the ring. Brock grabs takers leg and taker is hopping on the other. Brock does a leg sweep and as taker is falling and you see takers head going down first. I think taker tried to protect him self trying to get most of his back but didn’t stick the landing and his head hits first. You hear the thud! Of his head hitting first. You can see the look on his face, Because after that spot is when you can see he starts getting sluggish. It’s hard to see because the camera changes angles. But you can hear the hit of his head. I remember that specific moment all the time when I think of that match. Go back and watch that spot and see if y’all agree. Because it was kind of early in the match that he went that long concussed. Hell of a man to still finish the match like that. Glad he’s doing better.
I still believe it was a mistake for the streak to end, ESPECIALLY to Brock. It should've been a young up and comer to pass the torch to.
Honestly, if Bray was still alive it probably would have been him to break the streak and take on the mantle of being the new horror in WWE
man.... i remember watching that match, & honestly, its thee worst match of the night. think of it, i remember mumbling to myself "gawd this match is super slow & boring." & 2 seconds later i had the realization with my eyes widening & broke into a quick sweat *hes gunna loose the streak tonight.......!!!!!!!!*. 5 seconds after that i turned to the people i was with, i could tell they were bored by the look in their eyes, & i blurted out to them "dude.....its time......" they didnt even really react facially, they turned back to the screen, fully anticipating the streak ending. they looked like the people who watched the twin towers burn before they collapsed, lie they knew what was coming next but still wouldnt look away, im sure they knew they were watching history about to be made.
weirdly enough when lesnar did win, everyone was like "ahhh noooo come onnnnnnn!" & "THYERE GOING TO LOOSE MONEY NOW."
lol i was the only 1 happy brock won, cause, for real, takers to old, he needs rest, brock is THEE perfect torch barrer for taker; no question.
Doc: "Who's this?" - Undertaker: "My wife" - Doc: "Who are you?" - Undertaker: "........................................................I don't know"
Gosh, I don't even wanna imagine how creepy that must be 😨
Crazy too because that wasn’t the WM he was carted up the ramp, he walked himself then collapsed backstage
It's because his loss wasn't planned. Taker got concussion by the last F5 that's why he wasn't able to kick out of that.
Sting should’ve broken the streak but they should’ve had it end with controversy, the Undertaker should’ve passed out from the Scorpion death lock, everybody would’ve argued if that was a real “ending of the streak”
Hell nah😮
Never was going to happen since he’s from WCW. Streak never should’ve ended period.
So it never happened to undertaker..streak still perfect!
That's actually crazy
