Showed some of the figurative language from these songs to my ELA teachers, and they were blown away. I'm dissecting every little nook and crannie of any figurative language and deciphering it.
This is definitely an overlooked masterpiece of literature.

The one who write lyrics of this song is geniuss
People keep talking about how the story is tragic and sad, but I think its beautiful. Candle Boy died happily because he achieved his dream of becoming something or someone great. And he did by protecting the children and leading them out alive. While it is sad that he lived a short life, the ending he got was the best ending he could ever dream of, and I'm happy for him.
I'm never gonna look at my candles the same again. I'll mourn when the wax runs out

I like to imagine that the kids made a group dedicated to guiding those lost in the woods in honor of his sacrifice.

Wow, that was great! Kinda reminded me of Legend of Danko from classic russian novel "Старуха Изергиль"
It's a story of young man who led his people through the deep dark forest and when they thought they lost and can't be saved he LITERALLY RIPPED UP HIS OWN HEART that shined like a flame and showed his people the way and died as soon as they come out of the forest

let's all appreciate how the candle boy's stamina never runs out
Though in a literal sense, the way that candles serves as one of the few symbolism' of ( birth and death) brings into fore the valorous deed/s of the lone boy made of wax . No simple words could express the bitter sweet taste of, Candle boy', lone sacrifice that seeps from this song as if it were wax - trickling from a solitary candle placed atop of a STEEL pricket .
The song was great and I loved the theater-like settings. The character's motions are just like paper cutouts in shadow theaters or just cutout theaters. Those kind of theaters are my favourites.

AAAAAA Its seriously so good. A new Steam song is the best thing to get for Christmas, and I love the Candle Boy so much. Poor Candle Boy. But the song sounds so great, the ending where Gumi comes on softly to chant, and the part after that seriously gave me chills. Awesome job Steam!
