Considering building my own but I'd want wheels and then I worry that wood won't hold up well if I want it to roll - stationary would be no problem with wood.

Yeah I am in the market for a FT after my Weider 25 year old one was in need of an upgrade. No sale on the Ares 2.0 on the US. Their stance is we are selling to many and don't have any on hand. Kind of a screw up to introduce new product do a ton of social media and then not have any on hand. So I am ordering the Jacked Up version at a 20% discount and a bunch of extras.
I think the rep x pepin step-in stand is a shin banger potentially. The first stand ship date target is by March and the second walk-in stand ships Q2 2025 according to Rep Fitness that answered my questions.
Nate all of you influencers say that using your links doesn’t cost us extra money but that’s not quite true. 2 reasons why. First is the manufacturers calculate your cut into our cost just like they do with free shipping. Secondly they raise prices when reviewers give the product raving reviews. I don’t knock your hustle but reviewers are getting paid and usually get the equipment for free. Then most reviewers don’t want to outright say the equipment they are reviewing is crap and don’t buy unless it’s Amazon or Walmart type products. Just my two cents

Especially the ones who act like they are brutally honest but then give conflicting information or give a top choice on a particular brand and product because that’s who’s currently paying them the most at the time and then 2 months later they have a new top choice. I’m not going to call out any names. But one is an up and comer and the other is established. They both give beyond conflicting information and have gotten rich or if not rich then very well off from reviewing gym equipment which in fact 100% drives the cost up to the little man like myself and others. Again I’m not knocking anyone’s hustle but it does affect the cost to the consumer. My apologies if you took me as directing the comment specifically at you.

My understanding is REP is saying the reppins are designed to be stored flat. If you use them on angled stands, apparently the plates can get stuck.

Sure you could design it heavy duty enough with wood that i'd hold up.
