I have a 100” 6 post 43” rack. I went with the 300lb weight stack version. I am currently building it onto my rack. He is correct the packaging is industrial just like the product. I have everything built other than the cable installed. I did go with the shrouds, I had the shrouds and a few other parts powder coated to match my color scheme in the gym. I’ll update with pictures and a short review once I get it all completed
I did complete the build on my single weight stack FM6. I went with the aluminum pulley’s originally, and looks like they only offer aluminum pulleys. This functional trainer is legit the cables and pulleys are very smooth. The directions for build are surprisingly very efficient they got all the pulleys labeled by numbers with arrows to feed cable in the correct direction. I do have the 100’ rack so cable length seems to be good, I am 6’ and haven’t seen any issues with any functions of the cable length being too short. I am currently still having the shrouds powder coated but rouge put the most industrial foam 6” tape on the inside of the shrouds to prevent the pulleys going metal to metal which I don’t think they would even contact the inside of the shrouds anyway this foam tape is a nightmare to remove. Also I’m new to reviews and didn’t realize you are it able to post pics I mention in my first message I would put a pic. I will post some pics on the rogue site in there review section once I get the shrouds on. I will definitely post a positive review. I feel they have built a quality product. All there stuff is very over built
Gluck was the one who answered by question on the shrouds and how much real estate they eat up on the weight horns. Thanks again! Awesome interview excited to see your twin stack review!
So if I’m listening right, if you’re considering a 🦏 the best option is to go with a plate loaded 6-post as now you have 1) Functional trainer in the front 2) Rhino in the back 3) Pull up bar up front 4) Lat pull-down in the middle 5) Low row from the middle/Rhino and still room to bench/squat in the front section. You’ve turn my order of a FM-HR twin-stack completely on its head! Thanks!
I have never been that interested in functional trainers for my home gym, but honestly the fact that it can integrate with a belt squat makes it a potential purchase in the future.
May have considered this as an option if it was out a year ago. I have owned the REP Ares 1.0 since its release and I absolutely love it. If I had endless money I would upgrade to the 2.0. Love what REP has done to upgrade the Ares. I use my rack 5 days a week, so it gets tons of use and my machine has held up perfectly. Thanks so much for the great and detailed review. I’ve been following this release so closely. They announced the FM the day I ordered my first squat rack. They talked me to going to the RM-6 43” cause it was the only rack they would support they claimed. Even when it was way too big for my garage. Then they ended up supporting every rack size anyway. They let me down grade to the 24” thank goodness! Now just waiting for my twin stack to arrive. Please review the dual stack to confirm I made the right choice. 😅
Exceptional review!!! Thank you! Most intersted in the FM6 Twin 100" rack. I love the idea of an add-on Rhino, but I don't want to give up the low row.
Just found your channel looking for any reviews or ideas about the Rogue functional trainers. Our FM-6 Twin Stack (selectorized, no shrouds, 43”, 100” tall in beautiful Burnt Orange) was delivered yesterday and we are part way through assembling it. So far the instructions (pdf and video) have been easy to follow. The quality of the everything is AMAZING. Can’t wait to finish the build and start using it!
@@JV-pi1gc They also will not sell the add-on (FM part) for the FM-HR if you have a monster half rack. You must buy it along with a new rack if you want to go with Rogue. Rogue also has no plans for any add-on for any 4-post Monster racks ( HR, RM-3, or RM-4).
I havent finished the vid yet but going ahead and dropping a comment. Thanks for making this to help consumers decide, and I'm so interested in the rhino belt squat addon!!
This is the one we’ve been waiting for! I’m really looking forward to this continued series even though I already ordered a twin through your link 😂. Seriously though, with so many options from Rogue I can’t wait to see the Rep Ares 2.0 vs Rogue Twin vs Rogue Single Stack deep dive.

I was randomly comparing power racks with functional trainers yesterday as future aspirations and I said outloud, damn I wish someone would review the Rogue FM trainer. I even watched the assembly video lol
Great review as always! I didn't even consider the loss of cable length due to the weight stack. Excellent job pointing that out. I've been back and forth with this and the Ares 2.0. I think I'll go with the rogue after all. American made and it can be purchased inthe same color as my rack - gunmetal. Yes, I'm going to have two racks, but it's worth it - maybe. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Thanks for this video definitely the best one out there on this setup. it was really helpful as i was researching this I just placed an order for one of the FM-HR's today. Can we get a follow up video from you on the Rogue functional trainer after a couple weeks of use? We are starving for content and reviews on this equipment. It’s shocking to me that your review is STILL the only one on TH-cam (congrats and thank you). Customers have been receiving these new functional trainers for over a month now and no one other than you has put out a review. How is it possible that the largest equipment release of the year by the largest home gym supplier is not being reviewed by anyone else? It makes no sense to me but thanks again for being a true man of the people and giving us the content we want. Please capitalize on your current content monopoly with the new Rogue functional trainers and give us more!
I woke up at 4a to a dog licking my face and decided to watch this entire video. Nice job- answered questions I didn’t even have and confirmed my suspicion that rogue > rep and, despite the cool rogue styling, neither rep nor rogue can touch the Prime Prodigy HLP
Definitely want to see the in-depth comparison between this and the Ares. Actually, if you could include a comparison to an Athena with the Lat pull/Low row attachment too that would be awesome.
Spamming for good content, that rack looks like it could essentially replace my entire gym membership. Time to build a spreadsheet, powerpoint presentation and send my wife a teams invite!
The Rep Ares would fit a bit too tight in my garage for my liking, and I don't want the 80" model. The Rogue twin stack seems perfect for me at 91.5" tall. Can't wait for the review! Also, do your links for Canadian customers?
Will the dual stack version support the rouge Rino? That's one great feature I'm interested in. Thank you for your reviews. Can't let COOP get all the views.
I've not seen any indication that it will. They could certainly engineer something but the add-on rhino they have slated for now utilizes the plate loaded tower.
Great review! Did you need much extra clearance to assemble this? I am already pushing the limits on my ceiling height with my 90" monster rack. I could squeeze in a few extra inches.
Been waiting for this one! Great Video, though still leaning towards twin but this plate loaded does look good. If belt squats don't mean much to you, is there much of a reason to go plate loaded? Also what are your thoughts on the more mundane, ie pros and cons of which depth option, height, is it easier to operate with straps, vs drop down vs spotter arms etc. A lot of options for this build and don't want to screw it up. Thanks!

Considering a purchase of the plate loaded single stack Rogue FM-HR (the half rack functional trainer) but cannot seem to find answers to two questions: (1) can the FM-HR be converted to a full size power rack later if and when I have more space; and (2) will the drop-in Rhino work on the plate loaded FM-HR or do I have to purchase the full size rack? The main reason I am leaning towards the plate loaded version is to ensure the drop in Rhino can be added later but I need to know if it will work on the half rack or if the full rack is required. Please review the single stack plate loaded half rack if possible as that one is the cheapest and smallest footprint for all of us with limited space. Congrats on the beautiful new addition to your family! Glad mom and baby are doing well.
The Ares 2.0 addresses the issue with the banana clip as they have a centre swivel but I agree I definitely prefer a single point! Personally, I'm waiting for ATX's option the ATX-FCR-780 which should launch end of the year in Europe and Australia. Almost the same performance and exceptional build quality at almost $2000 less? 70mm vs 76mm tubing, everything from Rogue is just one step above but ATX goes through vigorous testing and certification so I'll take the money to the bank. What I find a big game changer about Rogue is that Rogue really makes it so easy to upgrade rack heights and rack depth. If money were no option I'd consider it! I don't even think the Rogue functional trainer will be available in Australia for a long time. It would be so prohibitively expensive too tbh.

I have re-watched this review over and over. Can't wait to see the review on the Twin. Really wondering how safety straps affect the trolleys though. Is it a pain to move them up and down to get them out of the way?
I'll address that in the twin stack review. Sorry I missed it on this one but I have a trick to those.
